It turns out they were closed that day, even though the website says they were open. I wrote them an email, which they didn't bother to reply to.

12/03/2026: We visited Fauna on March 5th. We will not repeat that. The starter was mushrooms on toast. The bread was soggy and the mushrooms were full of sand. We had guinea fowl with side dishes. 03/03/2026: Magical experience with my lovely wife @holmtinna We were on a Valentine's date and had dinner at Restaureat Fauna, located at the harbor front in Aalborg. Super delicious food and service. Thanks for the food ❤️

06/09/2025: We were at Hals Strandcamping three weeks ago and had a really great time. The site is very clean and pleasantly quiet. We especially liked the pool – not too big, but with a great slide that our kids had a lot of fun on. 🏊‍♂️😊 The on-site shopping options are rather limited, and there isn't much to buy at the reception. The employee/owner didn't seem quite as friendly or cheerful as we've come to expect from other campsites – but that didn't spoil our stay. Since we were there outside of the holiday season, it was wonderfully relaxed. Besides a few permanent campers, there were maybe five to eight other campers there, so we felt like we almost had the place to ourselves. 🏕️ A real highlight is the beach: very clean, beautifully situated, and with extremely shallow water – perfect for children. Since there was hardly anything going on, we had almost the entire beach to ourselves. 🏖️✨ All in all, a very nice, quiet campsite that we can happily recommend. 👍

03/09/2025: We wouldn't recommend the campsite. They advertise a swimming pool, and then it's been closed since August 29th, even though it was still beautiful sunshine. We were there for four days, and the restrooms weren't even cleaned. For us, it was our first and last time there.

18/10/2025: An okay place to go if you want to watch sports or give it a go on the dance floor. However, I will say that their Guinness is the thinnest Guinness I have drunk anywhere in the world. Furthermore, the service is below average and almost flabby in relation to repeated mistakes in the food that was ordered.

10/10/2025: Great beer. Nice place to sit outside even when cold. There are nice heating lamps. Great customer service. They forgot our beer order but apologised and offered us a free beer. Greatly appreciated. Would recommend :)

08/04/2026: Aalborg Streetfood is definitely worth a visit! Whether you're a couple or with friends and family, there's something for everyone. They offer delicious food, from Asian and Mexican to Indian – and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. There's also a bar, so no one will go thirsty. You can choose from comfortable seating areas or regular seats, play games (board games/card games), or enjoy a friendly match in the arcade near the entrance. It's a truly great place to spend a whole day :)

01/04/2026: Great food, but smaller selection compared to Aarhus. Also, feels a bit dirty inside (sticky tables etc.). Monday afternoon was almost empty there. Nice place to stop when going for a walk along waterline.

22/03/2026: Perfect place to eat if you want a good spontaneous brunch that is allergy friendly! Was pleasantly surprised by their menu system, where you can mark your allergy, such as gluten or lactose, and with a number system see which options on the menu are safe for you to eat. And thus build a brunch menu that is perfect for your own needs. And the food was really good, I had a good and gluten-free experience with good and attentive service.

19/12/2025: We have eaten here before where the food was good, but yesterday, December 18th, on my birthday, we had a bad experience. My son got 3 sandwiches that were definitely from the day before. My daughter and I got burgers. They were watery and sloppy. So that's the last time we eat there.
