01/06/2026: Restaurant Frederikshøj – must be among Denmark's absolute best restaurants. From the first step into the restaurant you are greeted by smiles, presence and an impressively high level of service. The renovation has been carried out with great taste, and both the service, wine menu and servings fully live up to the beautiful surroundings. For me, Frederikshøj is simply the best Michelin restaurant on this side of the Great Belt.

02/07/2026: stumbled across this place because i was too tired to drag my luggage from Central station to my intended destination for lunch, so i deviated here without even looking at the reviews. the staffs were super friendly and welcoming and i thought why not? ordered the Pork Tenderloin and goodness it was really delicious. the onions, the jam compote blended so well together and the pork was so tender - effortless cutting. it was super cosy to just sit outside and enjoy the breeze while sipping a glass of local lager. highly recommend and i will come back again when i am in town.

13/06/2026: Another fantastic lunch at Café Gammeltorv. You are always greeted by the sweet owners with smiles, warmth and a feeling of being welcome – and there is always a table ready. The kitchen is constantly creating little masterpieces on the plates, where both presentation and taste merge into a higher unity. The food is not only beautiful to look at, it also tastes absolutely fantastic. It is clear that love and care are put into every single dish. We will definitely be back – in a month at the latest.

02/06/2026: Quiet place, very local with good homemade food. You can eat a selection of different salads, a main dish a slice of bread and a drink only for 20€. Very afordable for Copenhaguen city. Is worth the visit.

19/08/2026: This fishmonger with a snack bar was the perfect finishing touch to my Danish holiday. I wanted authentic, local fish, and that's exactly what I got! The staff were incredibly efficient, and there was absolutely no wait. Everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. We enjoyed a beer from the brewery next door, sitting comfortably on the wooden benches and savoring our tasty meal. We'll definitely be back, because there's so much more to try! 😊

17/08/2026: Very tasty and well-prepared fish and delicious remoulade. The fries were okay, I would have preferred them salted, but that varies from country to country. Unfortunately, you can only eat outside, where the seagulls lurk. But that's always the case at beachside snack bars 😊

13/09/2026: Unfortunately, Famo Saxo was a disappointment in almost every respect. I would give it 1/5 across the board. The service was average at best and, at times, simply rude. We ordered a bottle of wine and then had to wait around 15 minutes because apparently they needed to bring it over from one of their other restaurants. Delays happen, but what bothered us was the complete lack of hospitality: not once did the waitress apologise, acknowledge the wait, or offer us anything in the meantime. Even the water costs 45 DKK per person — for tap water. Not San Pellegrino, Acqua Panna, or another bottled mineral water. Tap water. The base menu was around 500 DKK, and we paid an additional 150 DKK for the tagliatelle with porcini. Unfortunately, the food did absolutely nothing to justify the price. Portions were small and every dish was remarkably average. I have genuinely had better vitello tonnato from Italian supermarkets, and you could probably fly to Italy, buy a good burrata with tomatoes, and still feel like you got better value for money. The porcini tagliatelle were particularly disappointing: plain, heavy and greasy, with what tasted like far more butter than actual porcini. The supposed steak main course was even stranger. What arrived felt more like a piece of toast soaked in fat, topped with what looked like half a filet mignon chopped into small pieces. Calling this a steak course was generous. The wine itself was okay, but again the pricing felt excessive compared with retail prices, and a large part of the wine list was well above 1,000 DKK. For that reason, the 400–1,000 DKK price indication shown on Google did not reflect what our experience of dining here actually cost. And that is really the biggest problem: it isn’t simply about the price. Expensive restaurants can absolutely be worth it when the food, service and atmosphere deliver. Here, none of them did. The entire experience felt painfully average while being priced as something special. If you want genuinely good Italian food and warm Italian hospitality, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Famo Saxo, in my experience, was plain, underwhelming and massively overpriced.

13/09/2026: Paying 1,900 DKK for two people to leave disappointed after being served cherry tomatoes, greasy tagliatelle and some of the most underwhelming food I’ve had in a long time is honestly impressive. I don’t mind spending money on a good restaurant — but this felt like throwing 1,900 DKK straight out the window. The food was genuinely terrible. Nothing we were served was even close to being memorable or particularly good. To make it worse, adding a vegetarian tagliatelle meant paying another 150 DKK on top of an already 500 DKK menu. For what was basically a plate of greasy pasta. We also waited around 15 minutes for a bottle of wine because they had to get it from their other location. Not the end of the world, but when you’re charging these prices, you’d at least expect an apology or some acknowledgement of the wait. I’m not difficult when it comes to restaurants. I don’t need a spectacular atmosphere, white-glove service or someone checking on me every five minutes. But if I go out to eat, it would be to at least to have some tasty food. This wasn’t just overpriced. It was genuinely bad value for money. I’ve had far better meals for a fraction of the price, and I wouldn’t come back even if the menu was half the price, because I would choose a shawarma or a cheeseburger , or a pasta at any place for a 150 DKK other this meal.

22/08/2026: Everything was absolutely fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. I had the burger and I have to say, it was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The fries were also perfectly seasoned and nice and crispy. The fish and chips were delicious too.

13/08/2026: Super cozy place. Nice attentive waiter who came down and asked if everything was okay. Offered a spc beer that was not on the menu. Can recommend this place to everyone

08/08/2026: Cozy little place with an intimate atmosphere, friendly, helpful and extremely competent staff and some fantastic servings of both food and drinks. Recommended.

14/08/2026: My wife and I had planned to go see a movie at the cafe cinema. We had been really looking forward to it and planned the evening for just that. When we arrive with our gift card we are told “it doesn’t work” wondering why “I don’t know” said the waitress. Then she turned her back on us and left. Then she came back and said they don’t work with the gift card provider anymore. I asked since when haven’t you done it? she shrugged her shoulders and disappeared - totally indifferent. One star is one too many for that kind of service. Shameful and disappointing experience.

17/08/2026: Excellent bakery and pastry shop. Good product.

12/08/2026: Great pastries and delicious cappuccino. Without the long cues and nice room To sit down. Too bad the toilet was not functioning, however they did fill our bottle with water.

17/07/2026: Heard beforehand that this restaurant was excellent but my experience was nothing short of catastrophic. The staff asked me to switch table in the middle of the meal, the kitchen subsequently messed up our order, a catastrophic dinner. Asked to pay the bill before finishing the main course so I could leave. Ruined the date with my wife.

23/07/2026: A fantastic cozy place, suitable for both large and small parties. Had a lovely 2 course lunch!

25/06/2026: Herthadalen provided the most beautiful setting for our summer wedding. From planning to the execution of our wedding, we were in safe hands with the sweetest staff. I would not hesitate to hold other events here again.

11/08/2026: I had the poke bowl. It had no taste, few ingredients and it was expensive. The worst and most expensive poke bowl in Copenhagen. There are many places in Nørrebro, and they are all much better. Supposedly they have three variants, but they only had tuna. Wuaw. This place cannot be recommended.

30/07/2026: Pleasant place with truly exceptional service! The food was hit-or-miss, though, the fish burger was on the dry side. Still worth a visit for the good vibes and hospitality
