23/07/2026: Really long delivery time beyond the estimated time despite ordering outside of busy periods, lukewarm and mediocre food (burger, durum, fish fillet).

23/03/2026: Had a nice shisha every time, but today 23/03/2026 we came at 16:40 (it says that they are opened from 16) and it was closed! We tried to call, but nobody picked up ( also on their instagram nothing was written that they might be closed for some reasons, neither on the door… very sad situation

05/08/2026: A great neighborhood bar with a relaxed atmosphere. We visited around 10:00 PM, and it wasn’t crowded, so we were able to enjoy a quiet and comfortable evening. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a laid-back place to enjoy a drink away from the busy tourist spots, this is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

02/07/2026: Unfortunately the service was pretty bad. It felt like we weren´t welcome. Whether or not who made a mistake or who was right, the waiter chose to have a long discussion and denied any form for compromise. We ordered Fish`n`Chips and the fish was dry and chewy (frozen). The customer is the most valuable when runnin a restaurant.

23/07/2026: Really good pizza, never disappoints

16/07/2026: Systematized durum (kebab) review. 21 points in total. Durum with kebab and chili cost 65 kr (lunch offer). The bread (0-3 points): 2.5 points (homemade bread, but a little too thick bread and missing burn marks). The salad (cucumber, tomato, lettuce and onion), 0-2 points: 2 points (nice amount, nicely chopped and good ratio compared to the meat), see the pictures. Some free extras (e.g. red cabbage, hummus, taboulah), 0-1 point: 0 points The meat (0-5 points): 2 points (the meat is standard “pizza kebab” that you can also buy frozen in the supermarket. It was fried and had a nice fried crust, so it actually tasted great, but the meat is of such low quality that you find large pieces of tendon in the meat (see picture 2). It was like chewing rubber, and that is unacceptable in my eyes. The chili (0-2 points): 1.5 points (good strength and good tomato flavor, but lacks a counterpoint to the tomato flavor). The dressing (0-2 points): 2 points (standard creme fraiche) The quantity / how full you were (0-2 points): 2 points (large and good amount of meat). Service (0-1 point): 1 point (friendly and fast) The price (0-3 points, where 3 points are 30-40 kr., 2.5 points is 40-50 kr., 2 points is 50-60 kr., 1.5 points is 60-70 kr., 1 point is over 70 kr.): 1.5 points 14.5 / 21 points = 3.4 stars —> rounds down to 3 stars out of 5 —> rounds down to 2 stars due to tough piece of tendon in the meat.

14/03/2026: We ordered 2 drinks and to be honest, the cocktails is overpriced according to the quality. The bartender seemed like he did not know how to make the drink. We ordered an old barrel which was listed to also have cognac and whiskey in it how ever the only think did pour was a premade mix without the taste of cognac. And almost no taste of whiskey. I asked him if he did finish the drink since I could see no whiskey or cognac being poured. The drink was light almost watery which you would not expect from this type of coctail. His answer was that it was a pretty complicated proces therefore they made premix. As old professional bartender to another, this seemed like an excuse. The drink is not complicated to make at all. Also if I pay 130 for cocktail i would expect it to made on the spot. Otherwise no value for money! I would not recommend this spot to anyone who values true craftsmanship

06/12/2025: 360 kr for 1 hr of shuffleboard is just otherworldly insane (90kr per person). Same thing at Nexthouse costs 50kr per hour (irregardless of number of people. Talk about ripping people off….

31/10/2025: Fun hostel with good games. Havnt tried the food as we were just having drinks and games. Atmosphere is good. Service can be a bit iffy sometimes.

31/12/2025: This review is done mainly to highlight the very rude behaviour we experienced from one of the female managers on the afternoon of the 31st of Dec around 4.30pm. We had finished our ramens and ordered two deserts. After a while the waitress came with a third desert and it transpired it had been a mixup. One of the now half eaten deserts was added by the waitress by mistake, she was very lovely apologises and promised a refund. Shortly thereafter the manager came, clearly irritated, telling us that we get a refund but then she’s going to take the remains of the desert way. She basically snatched out of my hand when I gave it back to back, slammed it down on the tray and disappeared, she processed our refund for a coconut ice cream around 4.30pm. We were quite stunned having been treated like garbage by a member of the management team, this totally soured our otherwise nice experience.

26/12/2025: The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. It was very busy, and the staff couldn't keep up with everyone, so we had to wait a long time. The staff brought the food, but we had to wait and ask for cutlery!

07/07/2026: Very disappointing experience. We ordered an Americano but received filter coffee. The cake was served on a broken plate, and the coffee cup appeared stained inside. These basic quality and hygiene standards should not be overlooked. I hope the management improves their service and pays more attention to customer experience.

23/06/2026: It took the clerks behind the counter 25 minutes to make two smoothies. They tasted fine, but weren't anything special.

28/06/2026: The food was good. The atmosphere was boring. I left my phone behind 🙈 the owner kept it until I came back an hour later.

06/08/2026: The bathrooms were dirty, and the waitress who took our order didn't explain that water could be served in three different sizes. She served us the small one, and then, when we ordered more, the large one, which we didn't finish, charging us an exorbitant amount! In other places, you pay for the bottle first and then refill it as needed.

05/08/2026: Mixed feelings. We went in for a drink and decided to stay for dinner because the menu looked appealing. No one came to greet us or take our order, so we ordered ourselves using the QR code. The prices listed online weren't the same as on the menu; we paid €26 for a crème brûlée instead of €13. The manager came 15 minutes after we pointed it out and didn't speak to us. Finally, another server told us we'd be refunded within three days. So, our experience was mixed: superb, high-quality food but frankly, less than exceptional service.

05/07/2025: Første men ikke sidste gang her. Fantastisk betjening og service fra Henrik & Co. Makrelmaden med tomat er simpelthen en af de mest geniale madder, jeg nogensinde har fået på en danske smørrebrødsrestaurant. Tak for mad

04/08/2026: Ordered food on Wolt and was unfortunately disappointed. The rice was cold and just not super good. Got braised pork in dark soy and it tasted almost nothing. And had ordered breaded pork with sweet and sour sauce, but got breaded chicken + one shrimp (😅😅) with sweet and sour sauce and unfortunately didn't taste much. I otherwise love Chinese food, but there just isn't much flavor in it.

04/07/2026: Been coming here for almost 15 years. It has now become so expensive and the food so bad that it is no longer a place we want to go. Service was non-existent

02/07/2026: Today I came across the most boring cafe burger I have ever had. The bun was dry as a rock, the steak was fried to the sole of a shoe and there was hardly any butter on the bun. The same thing happened to my friend's burger. The waiter was made aware, but seemed almost shocked by it I have been to Stålvåg a lot, but haven't been there in the last few years. In my opinion, there is some procedure wrong when you serve a bun that is so dry. Either a chef who is completely happy, or a policy that nothing should be thrown out. Practice a boring game.
