08/09/2025: There’s nothing particularly special about it. You can find bakeries like this anywhere — maybe even better ones.

07/09/2025: I had the opportunity to try the cube-shaped pistachio-filled croissant and the cinnamon roll. They were delicious and fresh, and I definitely recommend them if you like this kind of food.

07/09/2026: A few weeks ago, I went there for lunch, and I was lucky enough to be looked after by a fantastic woman named Marta Alcántara. I noticed that she was managing both the restaurant and the bar at the same time, and despite being so busy, her service was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and very professional. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

29/08/2026: We visited Issei last night and had the set menu with the accompanying wine pairing. The highlight of the evening was definitely the tiradito, which was alright. Unfortunately, the main course was disappointing. The striploin was significantly overcooked and, in most parts, well-done. More concerning was the handling of my dietary restriction. I specifically informed our waiter that I have an intolerance and asked whether any of the dishes contained cucumber. I was assured that they did not. However, the side served with the main course contained a significant amount of cucumber. While our waiter was friendly and very apologetic when we pointed this out, this kind of mistake could have had much more serious consequences for someone with a severe allergy. Based on our experience, I would be very cautious about dining here if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. The wine pairing also felt somewhat underwhelming and oddly balanced. Two of the three glasses served were Prosecco and Moscato, which didn’t feel like a particularly well-rounded pairing for the menu. Overall, it the best experience food and service wise, and the issues with the main course and especially the handling of dietary restrictions significantly affected our experience.

28/09/2026: Ottilie & her team did everything they could to accommodate our small wedding party and make our special day amazing. The space itself is magical and the food wowed our guests. Couldn't recommend Gro more highly.

27/09/2026: Olde worlde pub harking back to the early 20th century. Beers abound and there is a strong sense of Belgium in there too. Great atmosphere. Probably best in winter when cozy hygge is needed.

16/09/2026: Such a fun little bar with a train theme (yes, there is even a model sized electric train that does laps around the ceiling!). We happened to walk in on trivia night (being held in Danish) and it was a very fun atmosphere to be a part of. The beers were delicious, and everyone, from the live performers to the owners to the guests were all super friendly. Very strong danish spirit of hospitality in this place!

06/07/2026: We were at Pub & Sport to watch the World Cup match – a big night for Norwegians in Copenhagen. The experience itself during the match was good, and the atmosphere was good. What really put a damper on the experience was what happened the second the referee blew the whistle. All the screens were immediately turned off, the lights turned on, and a loud announcement was made that the bar was closed. It’s fair enough that you’re closing, but the transition from a good atmosphere to “out now” felt unnecessarily abrupt. What really ruined the impression was that I rushed to the toilet as soon as the match was over. By then the entrance was already blocked with chairs, and an employee gave a rather dismissive message that the toilet was closed. I politely asked if I could go to the toilet before I left, but was told no. It’s of course allowed to have closing times, but denying guests the use of the toilet on their way out is perceived as not very service-friendly. Too bad, because this overshadowed an otherwise pleasant experience. A little more flexibility and responsiveness would have made a big difference.

06/09/2026: The food was absolutely amazing! Every single element was delicious. The dishes we loved the most where the kimchi’s fried rice and the 3 types of fried chicken 🥰 The waiter was so nice and explained thoroughly the whole menu!

17/08/2026: Going for one type of food such as barbecue seems like the best strategy. Unless you know what you are doing, stick to “sweet” skewers, specifically chicken and lamb. You may try one or two other tastes but not more as they are on the expensive side and you may be paying through the nose for the novelty of frog legs, if you never tried them. Depending on your personal taste, the food ranges from acceptable to delicious. I wasn’t particularly fond of gizzards, I was okay with frog legs and an absolute fan of sweet lamb.

09/09/2026: One of my favourite bakeries in Copenhagen. Have been here countless times and they don’t fail to impress. The atmosphere got a real uplift since the renovations. I especially like their BMO and cinnamon bun. Worth to point out that they make exceptional ice cream as well in the afternoon. 10/10 recommended.

02/08/2026: I have ordered sushi from there many times and I have never been disappointed. The service is top notch and the food is always fresh and very tasty. I can definitely recommend it!

05/06/2026: The ingredients are okay, the quality is top notch, and the service is just as good! I often pick up sushi there, and would recommend it to everyone <3 The price is totally okay! And, order from their own website if you have the opportunity to pick up yourself :)

22/10/2025: The Madden tasted good but they didn't ask what I wanted on my pita bread they just put it all on and some of it I didn't like

13/10/2025: I ordered a chicken pita sandwich and the chicken was cold, I politely asked the staff if they could heat it up, and the told me that it wasn’t possible to heat it up (because the sandwich couldn’t be heated up after the vegetables were added … I don’t follow this logic), I spotted another review which said the something similar about the cold chicken, poor form!

29/09/2026: This was the best veggie hotdog I have ever had in my life, not joking. The veggie dog has the perfect texture, incredible flavor and has a casing that makes it snap like a real hotdog. The bun is fluffy and the toppings pair with it perfectly, the coleslaw and herb mayo are light and refreshing. We got a few different things from around Reffen street food but this was the standout winner, I will think about this hotdog forever.
