02/03/2025: Very nice, small, dignified restaurant that honors the history of the Danske Sprit Fabrikker, and is also highly recommended for guests who - like me - have no connection to the Aalborg Akvavit because of the atmosphere! A great discovery: the plaice fillets on brown bread with tartar sauce! A very good price-performance ratio.
We would love to come back!

I dined here an evening in MAR 2025 along with 3 friends.
We had a reservation.
The staff is so kind and professional - and they can tell you a lot about the food and beverages (Snaps and beer primarily) served here.
The food selection is great and very interesting - focussing on authentic Danish meals.
I had the Stjerneskud and Camembert Cheese - and tried 3 snaps and had one beer.
Across the four of us we tasted a good portion of food and beverages - and it was all real good!!
And what a selection of snaps - I have not seen anything like it before. Real nice.
So definitely a place to visit when visiting old Aalborg.

Good food and even better prices.
31/03/2025: We picked up a seafood platter from their takeaway and a fish burger. The seafood platter was nice enough but wait, we felt cheated with the fish burger. We have previously picked up delicious tapas that are worth 5 ✨
That's why only 2 stars. The fish burger deserves 0 stars whereas the seafood platter deserves 3 stars. Disappointed by how small it was

12/09/2024: Wow, this is chef class ice cream. If I could give it a Michelin star, I would. I love the flavours and quality ingredients. The raspberry and mango are the best I've ever had. And I love the unique local sea-buckthorn ice cream and the rhubarb. What amazing flavours. Will come back every year for this special holiday treat.

Perfekt betjening. Flot udsigt over havn og hav. Virkelig et besøg værd.
23/12/2024: Super hyggeligt, lille, stemningsfuldt og originalt sted. Ikke et luksushotel, men et rent og pænt sted med mange kunstneriske detaljer. Et skønt sted med et simpelt koncept, god stemning og lækker mad i deres egen lille restaurant. Vinyl på værelset var et kæmpe plus - virkelig god stemning! Der er mange muligheder for gåture i naturen i nærheden. Området er virkelig smukt, og der er et gammelt fungerende fyrtårn i byen, hvilket var hyggeligt om aftenen.
Note: Madbaren har bl.a. udsigt til Industrihavnen i Hanstholm – ikke ligefrem idyllisk, men stadig fem stjerner for det autentiske.
