17/07/2025: Large selection of ceramics and colors. Good information, inspiring ideas, very welcoming and skilled staff. Cozy interior, good workplaces with brushes, water, cloths, etc. so you can concentrate on being creative. Overall a good place with many options for both beginners and experienced artists.

06/02/2026: We got a set menu for Aalborg eating out. It was ok but nothing special and too expensive for what you got , the dessert was really good though. The wine was ok but didn't really go with the food and was too warm for our taste. Butter was not included in the price and cost extra. You sit very very close. The service was very friendly The acoustics were good for how many people there were.

21/01/2026: My wife and I ate at Pingvin when we were on a weekend in Aalborg. It was a lovely experience. The various appetizers were delicious and beautifully presented, and we went home full after 4 and 6 courses, respectively, followed by 3 desserts. Since the following evening we mostly wanted to just stay in the hotel room, we chose Pingvin again, and their takeaway was just as satisfying. A clear recommendation from here.

11/01/2026: We have booked a table for 5:30 PM, have chosen the buffet with supposedly 15 types of meat. But already at 6 PM they have run out of several types of meat (beef of course) and fish. After contacting the staff we have been told that they have no more, so we have to make do with what they have left. And that is after 1 hour after opening!!! I would strongly advise against this restaurant, unless you want to eat lots of different types of potatoes and bread, for the same price as meat. Never the flame again.....

13/12/2025: A great place to eat in Aalborg, this all-you-can-eat buffet offers a wide variety of food and a good selection of meats. The price is also quite reasonable for the city's average. Highly recommended, especially if you're hungry.

10/06/2025: Very good pizzas for a good price. You have a variety of choices. It was made quickly and was also very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Eating there for real isn't really the idea, so we took it home. They take the time to make a delicious pizza for you. And they're also very helpful. We ordered three different pizzas, all three were excellent.

23/08/2025: Nice hot dog stand with cozy outdoor seating. The hot dogs were good and the service was fast and friendly. It's a plus that the food is served on porcelain. Will we come again? Yes, definitely.

30/04/2025: Vi havde en fantastisk oplevelse for et år siden med lækker mad og venlig betjening og var fortrøstningsfulde, da aftenarrangement med mad og vin igen blev flyttet til Strandhotellet. Maden var helt i top igen - virkelig udsøgt. Der var flere vine at vælge imellem - også en med prop og uden proptrækker. Vi var denne aften kun to par tilmeldt arrangementet, og måske derfor overså personalet os og fulgte ikke op på noget. Hovedretten kom på bordet, inden tallerkner fra forret var fjernet. Personalet virkede meget uengagerede i vores besøg, og der var ikke megen service. Det virkede meget tilfældigt, når de kiggede vores vej Vi håber, det var en engangsforestilling, men vil nok overveje, om vi næste gang melder fra, hvis arrangement igen må flyttes.

28/04/2025: Overall a good experience, lunch was without the advertised open sandwiches, but there was so much other delicious food. The inn needs to get a handle on the lunch price, which was 169kr on Facebook/website, but was adjusted to 189kr. somewhere. I'm happy we got it for 169. Other lunch prices were to be expected.

03/12/2025: I have rarely tasted such a good crumb as it is baked at your place. You deliver some absolutely fantastically good bakery bread, and good pastry cakes. Your bakery gives a feeling and atmosphere like when I was a boy. It smells, and you feel enriched even before you taste the lovely bread!. You are in a class of your own!! I look forward to the next time I drive through Halrimmen, and put my nose inside again 👍

10/01/2026: Our favorite store in Frederikshavn. Good selection of groceries, good opening hours and knowledgeable and dedicated staff. Free parking on the roof. The wine department has a lot of interesting bottles and sometimes at real bargain prices. Manual charcuterie. Like a Maxi in the middle of town.

30/12/2025: Large, nice store with a wide selection. Nice selection of wine and spirits.

04/01/2026: Came without a table reservation, so had to sit outside, a bit cold. The food is generally ok for the price, if you wait a long time. The food I got was a pizza with a little filling on one side and only cheese/tomato on the other side. There were 4 at our table, here 2 of them were not what they ordered, we waited so long for 2 new ones for them. I don't want to wait for my half pizza, we've waited enough now. We were then finished with the starter and the main course, we also ordered cheese/desserts, after waiting another 35 minutes for that, we asked if they could give us the dessert we ordered, but it wasn't on the way so we chose to pay. They then came with a bill where we had to pay for something we didn't get, we got so little discount, with a very angry face. It wasn't that we had to wait or there was a mistake on delivery, it was because we had to pay for something we didn't get and with an angry face, I won't be going there again.
