08/07/2026: The place doesn't look like much to the world but you get a pleasant surprise when you enter. Nice and fresh place. Calm and friendly service. Large portions with exceptional food. We were asked for a refill of potatoes for the food. No question about a tip came even though they deserved it. There were a lot of people who came there, which is a good sign. Highly recommended! 👍

01/08/2026: Ordered take away - as so many times before - for four people. The food was nice, but it could have been a bit warmer; which may be due to the relatively long delivery time. Although the taste experience was not as good as before, we will probably go with Esaab again another time.

13/07/2026: It's more of a Thai takeaway place, but the quality is very good. We had the Pad Thai and the fried rice. The food is prepared with great care and lots of good ingredients. The portions are generous.

16/08/2026: Postgården Øl & Vinstue at Skolegade 19 is one of the places in Hjørring where you can still experience the classic Danish pub culture. It is not a modern cocktail bar or café, but a traditional and very local pub with its own history and atmosphere. The place has been at this address for many years. The Historical Archive of Hjørring has, among other things, pictures of Postgården Øl & Vinstue from 1986, and there is material from the address even further back, when the place functioned as Restaurant Postgården. This gives the place a historical dimension that many newer bars naturally do not have. Postgården is primarily a place where people come for the social aspect. Here it is all about having a beer, meeting other people, talking and enjoying the traditional pub atmosphere. Reviews from guests often highlight the cozy atmosphere, friendly people and the feeling of a real local place. The decor is traditional and old-fashioned in a very deliberate pub way. There are various beer-related decorations and posters, and the place has retained much of the look that you associate with a classic Danish bodega. That is part of its charm and identity. There is also a cozy courtyard environment, which several guests highlight. It gives the place another dimension, especially when the weather is good and you want to sit a little more secluded from the street. You should be aware that Postgården is first and foremost a tavern and not an ordinary eatery. Food is not usually served like in a restaurant. On the other hand, special activities and parties are arranged, where there is sometimes food. There has been, among other things, a summer party with a whole roast suckling pig. There is also a community around “Postens Venner”, which arranges various activities. There have been, among other things, parties and bus trips, which speaks very well that Postgården is not only about the room itself, but also about the social community around the place. The opening hours are unusually long. It opens as early as 7:00 am every day of the week. Monday to Wednesday and Sunday it is open until midnight, Thursday until 2:00 am and Friday and Saturday until 3:00 am. This means that Postgården functions both as a pub during the day and as part of Hjørring's nightlife later in the week. You should also be aware that smoking inside is mentioned by several visitors. For some it is part of the traditional bodega experience, while for others it can of course be a disadvantage. In my opinion, Postgården is interesting because the place does not try to follow every modern trend. It sticks to the traditional pub culture, where people, conversations and community are more important than modern decor and fancy drinks. All in all, a very authentic and local pub with lots of history and personality. If you want to experience a part of the old pub culture in Hjørring, have a beer and meet local people in informal surroundings, Postgården Øl & Vinstue is a place that definitely has its own place in the city.

27/08/2026: London Pub is a really cozy and authentic pub in the middle of Boulevarden in Aalborg. Here you get a classic English pub atmosphere, a good selection of beers – including specialty beers – and a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for a drink with friends or a quiet evening on the town. It is an obvious place if you want to watch football, enjoy a good beer or sit outside at the many tables and feel the city life on Boulevarden. The pub is centrally located and has long opening hours: Monday 12:00–22:00, Tuesday–Thursday 12:00–24:00, Friday–Saturday 12:00–02:00, while it is closed on Sunday. Can definitely be recommended to anyone who prefers a good pub atmosphere, specialty beers and a more relaxed alternative to the big nightclubs.

The breakfast is among the best we've ever had, both for the quality of the ingredients and the wide variety offered. The rooms are new, modern, and impeccably clean. A truly recommended property. Super professional and nice staff! ☀️ There was a bit of a wait for the food, but wait, it was worth the wait! 👌 They make delicious burgers, and they know how to fry their meat! 🔥 Really really good prices on the food! (and there was plenty of it!) 😁

07/08/2026: I ordered pizza in advance at Aabybro’s Pizza & Steak House, but unfortunately had to wait about 10 minutes extra after I came to pick it up. It was a bit annoying, especially when you order in advance to avoid a longer wait. On the other hand, the staff was really nice and friendly, which definitely made the experience better. Overall, an okay experience, but the wait time could definitely be improved. The friendly staff, however, pulls the rating up.

01/08/2026: Pizzas were made very quickly and with such care. They used high quality authentic italian ingredients and it was very filling and delicious. The ravioli was outstanding and there is a very nice variety of items on the menu. Service was above and beyond, very caring and friendly staff. If you are looking for an authentic italian cuisine in Aalborg this place is a must! Would definitely visit again!

30/07/2026: Ordered a family pizza. Never had such a wet pizza before. Half was thrown out because the bread was so soggy because they had just thrown so much toppings on it

21/10/2026: Delicious sushi, friendly service. The only downside was being pressured to leave a tip at the end, which slightly marred the otherwise good impression.

18/10/2026: 1 star – sharp plastic in the sushi and unacceptable handling During our visit to Suzumi in Aalborg on October 18, 2026, I found a thin, hard and very sharp piece of plastic in the sushi I was eating. I only discovered it when I had it in my mouth. I got the piece out and spat out the rest of the sushi. The plastic can be seen in the pictures. We had only managed to eat a little of our all-you-can-eat meal, and our appetite completely disappeared. We tried to call a waiter through the restaurant's app, but no one came, so we had to get one ourselves. Our waiter was friendly and apologized several times. She took the plastic to the kitchen and came back after some time with an offer of about 15–20% discount. We experienced this as a completely inadequate response to the fact that I had just had a sharp foreign object in my mouth. We explained that we had lost our appetite, wanted to end our visit and expected to have the entire bill cancelled. The waiter then called his manager. The message was that we could have the food for free, but would still have to pay for the drinks, which we had barely started. We paid and left because we didn't have the energy to argue any further. The waiter is to be commended for his friendliness. On the other hand, I missed a responsible person from the kitchen or management coming over and taking care of the situation. It was left to her to apologize and convey the manager's decision. I expect a restaurant to take clear responsibility when a guest finds sharp plastic in their food. To start with an offer of a small discount and then insist on paying for the drinks after a ruined and interrupted meal was, in my opinion, unacceptable behavior. The restaurant kept the piece of plastic. I don't know if I could have swallowed smaller fragments before I discovered it. That uncertainty has made the experience unpleasant, even after we got home. We have lost confidence in the place, will not be coming back and based on this experience cannot recommend Suzumi.
