08/03/2025: Update 2025 Better taste than last time. However, the promise of a vegetarian menu is still just the same menu without meat and at the same price. It makes the experience soft, and the main course of vegetables with sauce. That was it. We call it what they say. 2023 Really nice place with good chairs and nice service. We then amicably asked for the other table than the one wedged against the kitchen and the smell of roast pork. It couldn't be done even though we could see three empty withdrawn tables all evening. It is not satisfactory that a vegetarian menu is simply the menu without meat but replaced by a grilled vegetable. The flavors in the food seemed generally inharmonious. Main course too salty and too soft in soft. The dessert sour with sour. Other guests had the same opinion, but said that the menu can fluctuate. So maybe it's better another time. We're not sure we'll try again.

05/03/2025: Fantastisk restaurant, hvor alt bare var perfekt. Vi fik tre retter med tilhørende vinmenu. Alle retter var fine og det samme var vinen, der passede så fint til maden. Brød og vand blev serveret til og fyldt op igen "automatisk". Kan kun anbefale dette sted😊

09/12/2024: Hans Dahl valgte at fejre 70 års fødselsdag på Rold StorKro fredag den 6 december 2024. Han inviterede 29 af de nærmeste familier og venner - flere havde aldrig været på Rold StorKro. Her et par dage senere har han hørt fra festdeltagerne og ALLE var i den grad benovet. Hyggelig og flot hotel, julepyntet efter alle kunstens regler, maden var helt og aldeles udsøgt, velsmagende og MEGET forskelligt at vælge imellem. Fri bar under og efter middagen var yderst populær og ja, servicen var outstanding. Alle har nævnt dette og har kun oplevet en sublim oplevelse med service langt ud over det sædvanlige - personlig og nærværende. På jysk kan man vel roligt sige at ALLE på hotellet stod på pinde for alle Hans' gæster - tak for at bidrage til at festen blev til det Hans havde ønsket sig og at den formentligt vil blive talt om i meget lang tid;-) Hans er i den grad meget tilfreds med at have valgt Rold StorKro til denne fest;-) Håber meget at alle på job denne aften vil blive rost for deres kæmpe indsats - herfra en stor TAK for alles indsats;-) Bedste hilsner og ønsker til alle om en rigtig god jul

08/12/2024: Lovely restaurant with cozy surroundings. The perfect place for a date or even pampering yourself. The food is absolutely fantastic and the staff are so sweet and welcoming. Would definitely recommend everyone to visit the restaurant if you want to have an unforgettable evening.

29/01/2025: Really nice place, but they should be better at writing and announcing on their website that they are closed or on holiday. It's really the downer when you travel far not just to visit but only find out when you've arrived that they're on holiday

18/02/2025: I was invited to a 60th birthday 🇩🇰 The food tasted excellent and the location is really nice. But a poor young girl had to take care of our ego and was certainly not properly educated. Guests from our group even carried plates into the kitchen. They also went around and filled the glasses. Probably not where I have my party

11/10/2024: Such a shame. Food was fresh and very tasty, so I have already written a nice review. Unfortunately too soon. The desserts on the menu were not there, but we were given the choice via gentleman's phone from 2 others. Just a coffee for myself. Coffee was dirty and when asked, the pot had only been on the warming plate for 3 hours. So old coffee. The gentleman was insulted and no longer behaved in a friendly manner. Shame!

29/03/2025: What a fantastic taste experience, so beautifully prepared and a super menu explanation. It was top quality throughout. I really only experienced good service all the way around. Everywhere is clean and tidy. What a gourmet experience.. also it certainly doesn't do something you don't know exactly what the menu consists of. I will definitely come again.

07/04/2025: We have visited Restaurant Fauna with close family following a wedding. The food was Michelin-star-quality. Absolutely marvelous, without a doubt some of the best food I have had during my stay in Aalborg. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, due to which we had to wait approximately 45 minutes for the main course without having any drinks refilled in the meantime.

18/01/2025: We ate here twice today. A good restaurant with delicious dishes. It is difficult to make a choice. We ate here again in the evening, even though we were still full from lunch. We will definitely come back here when we are in Thisted again. This restaurant is highly recommended.
