16/10/2025: Hi, I just want to say that I can't understand why you've gotten any complaints at all. My boyfriend and I have stayed at your hotel twice and both times, a few years ago, the food was good and the service was really good, nothing to complain about. And to make it not a lie, we're going to stay at your hotel tomorrow until Friday and we're looking forward to it. There's also a lovely swimming pool and spa. Our room was also lovely, so we're very excited about what we're going to have tomorrow and eat. So you'll definitely get 12 with an upward arrow.

14/10/2025: We have just had a stay at the hotel and can only recommend it. Lovely, delicious food and a friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is cozy and has a lovely view of the water. We had a lovely stay

14/06/2025: The food looked delicious, unfortunately I felt incredibly sick and threw up while we were there. The thing is that it could be many things as I am a chronicler and had forgotten to eat but one thing is for sure bacon cheese fries forever! Well they were everything my heart desires.

So I just got a call from my sweet beautiful daughter about her being discriminated against by the supplier and being yelled at on the phone and also addressed as a boy!😱😡 Just because she has short hair doesn't make her a man! Also 30 kr for a small amount of fries!😨😠 It's not okay for my daughter to be treated that way and scammed Don't order from here😫😟

17/10/2025: Twice in a row I've ordered one of your "signature" chicken burgers and it forgot to put cheese on it. I honestly think twice is too many times to forget. Once is okay to forget. And I don't want to pay extra for cheese on your chicken burger just to make sure it doesn't get forgotten again.

20/09/2025: We were towing a tractor and therefore drove a long way from where we read your review about the long wait and the staff talking privately. But we agreed that it can't be right so we visited you. I would like to have the mustard removed from my burger but you can't do that on the machine so I stand at the cash register with one elbow on the edge and press a small bell several times but no reaction. It wasn't because there were no staff or they were busy no no but Tetris and Facebook were the big issue. They ignore our gaze and just give food to the others it ends with us talking to a girl behind the counter she also succeeds in removing the mustard and replacing it with bbq. And you'll never guess we waited I don't know how long for the deadly meat bun ... we didn't even bother to talk to them they stood and mocked us and laughed and talked about us while we stood in the restaurant and ate their food ... The bun was dry. The chicken tasted fine but the breading had fallen off. There is neither much salad, dressing, onions, pickles and last but not least burnt bacon. Yes you think it's a lie but what do you think we think

13/08/2025: Excellent little eat-cafe. Burgers were excellent (great portions) and the staff had plenty of time to help the kids choose their lunch. Would return.

08/03/2025: Two of us visited for roast pork on Wednesday 5/3 and we thought that your roast pork (the one without breading) was so dry that you couldn't bite through it (very dry and hard) and the breaded pork was tough and the edge was impossible to bite through. Due to the busyness, we couldn't get a hold of the staff (there was only one and it was very busy). You must be able to do better because you have had roast pork on Wednesdays for a long time also out in Vangen. A disappointed customer

24/07/2025: Good cozy place. Service and management were top. The food and drinks were with good taste. The prices were a bit expensive.

07/08/2025: We bought a gift certificate for the place 7 months ago. During this period we have tried many times to redeem our gift certificate, but without success. There is a sign in the window that it is closed or the phone is not answered. It is not okay to sell gift certificates when it seems impossible to redeem them.

22/07/2025: Vi har altid været glade for at komme her, men denne gang lod meget tilbage at ønske. 1. Rengøringen var mildt sagt lemfældig. 2. Det sproglige var på grænsen til det pinlige. 3. Maden virkede meget uinspireret og ikke særlig indbydende. 4. Den bestilte vegetarret var absolut ikke indbydende og ikke særlig lækker. Alt i alt en oplevelse vi godt kunne have været foruden. De går noget at skulle leve op til for at nå fordums gode indtryk.

31/07/2025: Really cozy place. Our sweet waiter Lara was friendly and polite :) The food could have been a little warmer, but tasted really good.

28/07/2025: Lamentablemente uno de los peores filetes jamás comido. La carne fue recomendada por los empleados, y finalmente llegó un ojo costal (Entrecôte) que se ordenó de medianamente trasera a rara. Llegó una picada gris de carne, extrañamente sazonada (probablemente para ocultar el sabor viejo y rancio). El filete estaba más cerca de estar bien hecho, pero medio raro o raro probablemente no sería posible servirlo ya que la carne pasó por esa etapa hace mucho tiempo. Las porciones son grandes, pero IT hace aún peor tirar, me siento triste por el toro que dio su vida solo por ser tirado... Tengo una sugerencia al dueño del restaurante, “despide a tu chef” o si eres el chef, cierra tu negocio y haz otra cosa, los restaurantes no son para todos... La foto es solo para que el dueño sepa cómo se supone que es un Ribeye.

10/08/2025: We sat outside for 20 minutes today. Staff saw us several times, but no one came. Maybe because we had a dog with us. The place was maybe 20% full. There was hardly anything for the staff to do. We left. Therefore, we can't rate the food. The staff, however, are a joke.

30/09/2025: Ordered Danish steak 😄 but very disappointed it was definitely not like Danish steak it was dry as cardboard no taste so thanks for the food see you later I won't add

12/09/2025: We have been coming here for 15 years now, via family visits in Hals, and after this time here in Sept. 2025 it has never been better. How nice and good it is to see full tables and lots of good food being served across the counter. We will do a lot to support old Carl. Of course we come from Zealand but would love to come again and again and again. Come and support🤸 Cheers to the future.

17/10/2025: We both got a burger, which unfortunately did not live up to expectations. 😔 The burger was topped with tomato salsa, which does not suit it at all. The meat did not taste very good, and it was peppered far too much. The fries did not taste very good - were very deep fried and dark,

14/10/2025: Light lunch. We had shrimp and fish fillet. Both very delicious. The kids enjoyed the best fries👍 we will come again and will recommend to others.

19/09/2025: Very good steaks and excellent self-service side dishes. Highly recommended despite the high prices!
