De bedste restauranter i Nordjylland

02/09/2025: We visited here several times during our vacation. Restaurant is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration; I'd describe it more as a good grilled snack bar. The location by the harbor is ideal, and you can easily sit outside or inside, although the ambiance is rather understated. It's a self-service restaurant with a pager, and you order at the counter. The menu is relatively limited, but there should be something for everyone. We ate Stjerneskud, fish fillet with fries, and also Stegt Flæsk. The Stjerneskud wasn't bad at all and was very well presented. On the other hand, the fish fillet was really only at the level of a fast-food restaurant and didn't look particularly fancy with the tartar sauce and fries on the plate. The same goes for the Stegt Flæsk, which tasted decent, even with fresh boiled potatoes, but was very sparsely presented on the plate. At least the food is relatively inexpensive. The beer from Fuglsang is, of course, great and a nice change of pace. As I said, if the food were presented with more care, perhaps with fresh parsley or a bit of salad, it would significantly improve the experience. But it's certainly worth recommending for those with a light appetite.

13/07/2025: I've been buying their shawarma since 1988 when I moved to Aalborg and it is by far the best ❤️ Now moving away from Aalborg, and I'm going to miss them as the only place that can make a proper shawarma.

27/06/2025: We are in Aalborg to participate in the Danish Championship and after a long day on the road from South Funen, it was time for some food, we chose the place as it is close to our rental home. But we can in no way recommend it, we bought 2 x pita bread kebab menus and it is the worst meal we have tried to eat in a long time, the meat in the pita was sour and could have been from either beef or lamb, the salad was not worth eating. The only thing that was ok was the fries.

25/08/2025: Wanted to buy cake take out at 17:08 and got rejected) even there were a lot of things to buy (not like they were empty). And even on door it says opened til 18:00. Hmm..

07/07/2025: Expected quality of a place that is mostly used as a waiting room for the man in the shopping family. The coffee is ok, no more (automatic coffee) and some of the bread is bakeoff similar to what you can get in Lidl. In the name of justice, it must be said that they also offer delicious pastries and real bakery bread, which I unfortunately have not tasted. That will have to be next time. The friendly and service-minded staff is a big plus. The place is pleasantly decorated for a shopping center café.

17/08/2025: The food was good, the service non-existent. We had booked a table for 6 for dinner, which was only set for 4. We were given 6 menus, 3 of which were lunch menus. They brought the menus, but forgot to take our order. One starter (tapas) was served with tomato juice dripping over the edge. When we pointed out that they must have forgotten to take our orders, the waiter almost thought it was our own fault.

21/08/2025: Lovely lunch Really delicious open sandwiches, beyond the ordinary. Tasted heavenly and was really beautifully presented.

28/04/2025: We were there. Ordered 4 sandwiches. It took over an hour before we got the first 2. My son got prawns with poached egg. Big, nice sandwich. Guests had come in after us. Which should also have Smørrebrød. They sat only 35 Min. Because they got theirs shortly after. I got the fish fillet with prawns. The fillet was as big as the rye bread and about 10 small prawns. Then came the last 2 pieces. My son got Smørrebrød with chicken salad. Large beautiful piece. I had roast beef. 5 thin slices. With a little embellishment. I was still hungry when we left. We got a bottle of wine. If we had been given a glass, it would probably have been drunk before we got the food. We paid almost DKK 900 😬 We will not go there again.

24/07/2025: Good cozy place. Service and management were top. The food and drinks were with good taste. The prices were a bit expensive.

11/09/2025: We were sent on to the Park Hotel even though we had paid for dinner at the beach hotel and only found out the same day after we arrived.

03/09/2025: We had the most wonderful experience at Løgstørbadehotel. We knew in advance that it was an old hotel and that there were stairs. We had read the reviews and were excited to see if we had chosen the right place. But we were positively surprised. Got the nicest rooms, clean and neat and there was what we needed. Coffee and warm cake at 3 pm. At 7 pm we had dinner. 3 courses. Everything was perfect, we could have used a little more vegetables for the main course, but otherwise the meat was tender and tasty. The service was excellent, especially by "the tall one" and the young Khaled who always smiled. However, the woman in the kitchen who sometimes came into the "dining room" had NO, if not NO, sense of humor, if you asked about something she could ruin even the best conversation and the best mood. The breakfast, yes there was what you could wish for, nice and hygienic All in all a stay we can only recommend.

31/07/2025: Really cozy place. Our sweet waiter Lara was friendly and polite :) The food could have been a little warmer, but tasted really good.

28/07/2025: Lamentablemente uno de los peores filetes jamás comido. La carne fue recomendada por los empleados, y finalmente llegó un ojo costal (Entrecôte) que se ordenó de medianamente trasera a rara. Llegó una picada gris de carne, extrañamente sazonada (probablemente para ocultar el sabor viejo y rancio). El filete estaba más cerca de estar bien hecho, pero medio raro o raro probablemente no sería posible servirlo ya que la carne pasó por esa etapa hace mucho tiempo. Las porciones son grandes, pero IT hace aún peor tirar, me siento triste por el toro que dio su vida solo por ser tirado... Tengo una sugerencia al dueño del restaurante, “despide a tu chef” o si eres el chef, cierra tu negocio y haz otra cosa, los restaurantes no son para todos... La foto es solo para que el dueño sepa cómo se supone que es un Ribeye.

27/08/2025: Pitamix is ​​a classic place to get your pita menu from in Aalborg. Their kebab is good, but I prefer their chicken. Their fries and garlic puree are definitely worth coming for in themselves. The price has increased and the quality has unfortunately decreased a bit..

07/06/2025: Strawberry shortcakes taste like a frozen old rusty cake, the Swedish cake splatters more than it should splatter, but the carrot cake is yummy. The quality of the food, in terms of choices, has decreased, the food doesn't taste that much. The steamed salmon tasted of steam - no taste unfortunately. The mashed potatoes had given up on life, I won't choose it! The meatballs tasted as usual. They can be eaten, they can go down. So why didn't we just choose those instead? Yes...good question. We also took the fish fillet, because we were inspired by a small child singing "I have to have the fish fillet" We tried them, we cried and so did the child. What a sadness. It was dry and boring. Before there were various delicious dishes to choose from at a fair price. But now. Not that it has to be a restaurant, but when you have been here several times and for many years it becomes a bit sad to see what the menu offers now. What makes up for it is mostly free refills. That's a good idea! And… Oh yes, you also have furniture!
