It is a couple who own the restaurant.
He is a chef and cooks fantastic food, she is Somali and finds wines that go perfectly with the food.
I look forward to coming again, with my motorcycle friends this summer 😊
19/04/2025: Lovely evening with a three-course menu and the house's white and red wine. Well-prepared food, friendly service and a good atmosphere in a full restaurant on a Saturday evening. Can really be recommended.

Go for Wiener schnitzel - it's good and there's plenty of it 😀

01/11/2024: Amazing cozy little place. Great bread and canned fish. We also had a delicious soup that made us feel warm and cozy on a dark, gloomy afternoon. Not like restaurant food but more like home, familiar food. The owner was super nice and friendly.
30/08/2024: A salad you feel is made with honor for Me. Lovely home-baked and bought more wonderful, to take away: juice, jam and dressing. Wonderful surroundings. Thanks!!

24/05/2025: We had a good meal. Everything was fresh, and the wait time was perfectly acceptable. The atmosphere outside was a bit lackluster, but we were sitting outside on a windy day, so perhaps they weren't expecting any customers outside.

23/02/2025: now it's been a long time since I've been to cafe Klaus Værested. But the last time I was there I thought it was a very cozy place, really sweet friends and a good staff that you can have a chat with if you need it, otherwise you can get to know some new friends! And then you can buy some hot food that you can eat for lunch, and it tastes fantastic for that price. ;0) So I thought if you live close to Roskilde, I think you should try to stop by Kafe Klaus...!!! ;0))

03/08/2024: Dejlig restaurant med virkelig fin betjening. Vi var der til ugens store tilløbsstykke “stegt flæsk”. Det var super godt, og deres hjemmelavede jordbærdessert ligeledes i top. Udsigten er i øvrigt også forrygende.
13/07/2024: Very nice golf club. Extremely delicious restaurant and a unique view of the fjord. Well trimmed fairways and greens.

10/03/2025: Friendly and smiling staff, I ordered a meatball sandwich which was really boring. The bread was so dry and large that you felt like you had flour in your mouth. It was a really boring experience, so had to throw the whole sandwich away. Really sad experience.. Do not recommend their Sandwiches. Practice!!

The selection of cold fish dishes is a highlight, especially the herring in a light curry sauce—creamy, tangy, and surprisingly reminiscent of coronation flavours. A great way to sample a range of local specialities.

18/05/2025: We were a small party of 14 people, we had a 3 course menu. A huge compliment for your fantastic food and sweet service, everything was perfect, you are truly professional, we would love to come back. 👍😊
13/05/2025: The food was very good. But it's also very expensive. €90 for a veal schnitzel and a chicken breast, each with a drink, is pretty steep. But the restaurant is cozy. The manager served alone, and because it was busy, she wasn't the friendliest.
