28/06/2025: We walked into the restaurant and were greeted with a very friendly welcome! The food was fantastic, just like mom's home-cooked food. We'll be back on our next trip! Top restaurateurs, 5 stars from us!

23/06/2025: We found it on Google Maps, and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. We all had the dish of the day, meatballs with new Danish potatoes, red cabbage and brown gravy. Absolutely fantastic taste experience. Reminded me of the ones my late great-grandmother used to make. Great staff and atmosphere. Can definitely recommend the place.

18/06/2025: We also stopped by Halr on our tour of roasteries and cafés around the world and would like to share our impressions with you: First Impression & Ambience: A small café located in the back courtyard invites you to linger in a quiet atmosphere. Inside and outside, visitors are offered plenty of individual seating, creating a very inviting impression, which is confirmed. The Service: Unfortunately, we were greeted very directly at the door with a clear warning, which startled us and also prompted us to leave. However, since we hadn't had breakfast yet and had traveled a long way, we decided to stay. When paying, we were able to experience the other side of 100% ignoring them: super, super friendly. The Offer: From a quick snack to a hearty meal, you can get everything here. The dishes make a great impression and all seem to be prepared in-house and with care. A huge compliment. The Food: We were able to try the muesli and would have liked a bit more fruit. Overall, it consisted mostly of oatmeal, but was super filling and delicious. We strongly believe that the other dishes are also worth trying, given how carefully they are prepared. The Coffee: One of the decisive criteria for our evaluation is, as usual, the taste of the coffee/cappuccino. Here, we were able to taste a fairly strong cappuccino, more similar to Italian roasts, but both cups tasted a bit "mealy." We couldn't detect a distinct aroma here. Hence the rather reserved rating. The preparation was truly a feast for the eyes, and we were pleasantly surprised by the great motifs. Conclusion: We're not really longing for another visit based on the welcome, our food selection, and the coffee. If we do return to the region and give it another try, we'd be happy to try the cake or other dishes and hope for a better impression.

15/06/2025: A cute little café in a backyard. Very friendly service and a wide selection, especially for coffee lovers. The prices are quite steep, typical for Denmark. We paid the equivalent of €41 for two sandwiches, a matcha latte, and a smoothie. Everything tasted very, very good and was presented in a really sweet way.

18/06/2025: Had a delicious shooting star, with a decorative, whole crayfish. All ingredients appeared fresh and well-cooked, but otherwise it's "shooting star" - the best in town, maybe? Also tasted the neighbor's tenderloin with mushroom sauce - not bad. O. P. Anderson and a Fanø Rav for it. A super cozy place with a good atmosphere that oozes history - it's Esbjerg's oldest, still operating eatery.

23/06/2025: During our visit to the island of Mandö, we sat in the outdoor café. The owner is really nice. We immediately felt warmly welcomed. The cappuccino was served with a beautiful layer of milk foam, which I thought was really thoughtful. I also really liked the tableware. The apple pie was a surprise because it was different to what I had expected. It was the first time I had eaten an apple pie like that, and we really enjoyed it. We found the island of Mandö very relaxing, and the café with our favorite bird as its logo was the icing on the cake. And our personal tip is the chai latte; it was the best chai latte we have ever had.

09/06/2025: Lifesafer on a very rainy day on Mandø. Super service-minded staff, who came with towels for our 84 year old mother and generally helped us dry our clothes. The pit stop at your place saved our family trip. Thank you so much ♥️

25/06/2025: Good café close to Ribe Cathedral. Really cozy place with the possibility to play board games, play corner for children and relaxation for adults. Good coffee, good bun and the sandwiches looked delicious! Also good fair prices and a coffee lover like me loved the possibility of refills

23/06/2025: Avocado bread with scrambled eggs – I was looking forward to this. The scrambled eggs, however, apparently came from a bag, as the only option for those with a dairy intolerance was to omit them, and despite the limited number of guests, no alternative (fresh scrambled eggs or fried eggs) was offered.

The sandwich was delicious, the iced coffee perfect and the music and atmosphere while I was eating was absolutely top notch. Thank you so much for the food ❤️❤️❤️ I had a really hard day and the delicious food and fantastic service were just what I needed ❤️ thank you from the bottom of my heart from Mira ❤️

28/06/2025: Good pizza and great service. Had to drive an extra half hour compared to the alternative that was closer. Nice service that gives you the good feeling of being welcome.

23/06/2025: If you want Denmark's best pizzas, you have to stop by Gørding Pizza & Steakhouse, it's a sure winner every time...

08/07/2025: The coziest restaurant and bar in Esbjerg. Their cozy seating area on the square contributes to a cozy atmosphere and makes for a good conversation. Very good service and always a good atmosphere There is often live music too

03/07/2025: The cappuccino was lukewarm, waitress had not listened well to what was ordered. She later apologized. But my husband was already eating which turned out to be half cold. And after about 10 minutes later my burger was brought which was also not warm.
