17/03/2026: Lovely food and fast and friendly service. I had breaded chicken and was allowed to change from rice and sweet and sour sauce to noodles and curry sauce without any problems. Large portion so everyone can be more than full. Would recommend this restaurant to others

28/10/2025: I was at a birthday at Café Otte & Tyve, and I was actually quite surprised by the quality of the buffet. It was a catered setup with a really nice selection – there was salad, salmon, Caesar salad, cheeses, cornichons, waffles, nuggets, potatoes, sausages, samosas, and all kinds of dipping sauces. Basically a proper breakfast-slash-brunch buffet, and I really liked it. Everything was fresh and tasty. What surprised me even more was the place itself. I’m from Sønderjylland, and down there sports clubs don’t look like this. This café is right next to football fields, so it’s technically part of a sports club, but the quality level – both of the food and the place itself – is so much higher than what I’m used to. It was a bit of a culture shock, to be honest. The service was great too. The staff were attentive and friendly, and everything ran smoothly. All in all, this was just a really good experience. The food was great, the setting was surprisingly nice for a clubhouse café, and the overall vibe was just good. Nothing to complain about.

30/11/2025: Christmas lunch at Møllehuset in Frederikshavn: A disaster from start to finish We were six adults and a small baby for their Christmas buffet – an experience that unfortunately ended up being one of the most unprofessional events I have ever attended. When booking, we informed them that we were coming with a baby and wanted a table by a window, so that we could have the stroller close and in sight. This was confirmed without hesitation. When we arrived, it turned out that yes, the table was by a window – but on the other side of the window there was a slope down towards the water, where a stroller obviously cannot stand. In other words: the promise was not fulfilled, and the stroller had to be placed in a place where we could not see it at all. A really bad start. But unfortunately that was only the beginning. We were seated 10 minutes earlier, as they requested. Yet it took 45-60 minutes before anyone even came to ask what we wanted to drink. When you only have 3 hours for the whole event, this is completely unacceptable. When the drinks finally arrived, of course one was missing – and even after pointing it out, another 5-10 minutes passed without anything happening. It seemed as if the staff were constantly forgetting things and running around without any overview. We quickly noticed that it wasn’t just us: the tables around us were also waiting for up to an hour for their drinks. Many guests complained loudly about the lack of service, poor service and a staff that clearly had nothing to do with anything. The atmosphere in the room was anything but Christmassy. The buffet was also nowhere near ready. Basic dishes such as pork roast, potatoes, fish fillet, etc. were constantly missing. Guests stood in line several times, only to discover that the dishes were empty again – and that it could take 5-10 minutes before anything was refilled. The quality of the food was ok, but certainly not enough to save the overall experience. In addition, a beer menu is placed on the table with 15 different beers – but only 3 are in stock. A detail that sums up the entire evening very well: Lots of promises, no delivery. I have rarely experienced such poor organization, such slow service and such little overview at an event that should have been planned well in advance and run according to routine. It seemed as if the staff were far too few, far too stressed and without coordination. Everyone at our table agreed: This was not a Christmas party – it was chaos. Unfortunately, it is clear that this was not just an isolated incident. Subsequently, we can see that many others have experienced the same thing. My recommendation is therefore clear: Cancel if you have booked, and save yourself the disappointment.

26/04/2026: The steak was nicely fried, the vegetables were nicely cooked al dente, normally a restaurant like this with a large dinner party would serve half a dead broccoli, but here it was really nicely cooked, so the food was really nice, as far as the locals are concerned, maybe a bit of a mishmash, the waiters were very young but nice and friendly. All in all, a reasonable experience

04/05/2026: Had the chefs menu with wine pairing. All the 5 courses were excellent with really nice wine pairing. Very nice ambience, not too quiet, and not too loud. Highly recommended.

15/02/2026: What a FABULOUS place! Small, intimate, warm, inviting… delicious food! Wonderful natural wine selection. The vibe was so special. We enjoyed every minute of it and can’t wait to go back.

28/03/2026: It's a nice enough place and the food is good. I just think it's become quite expensive to buy anything there. It's not the place's fault. It's various taxes. I've started bringing my own coffee from home. But it's a nice enough place.

29/01/2026: Delicious place in the old station building. Cozy decor. Many different take away dishes in the display case, also vegan. Varied menu also with vegan burger. A good mix of cafe, kiosk, coffee shop and eatery. Makes their own dough that you can buy, and homemade deli items.

11/06/2026: Ambient is wonderful and the food is sublime. An excellent experience for your eyes and also your taste buds. Order what we did and you’ll not be disappointed:)

06/06/2026: I was expecting more of a restaurant, but in reality it felt much closer to a café. The food was perfectly fine and I enjoyed the meal, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. Everything was good, just not particularly memorable. Overall, a pleasant experience, but not quite what I was expecting.

05/06/2026: One of the noisiest restaurants I've ever been to. We had to leave before we even got our food due to the noise level. Two people at the same table couldn't have a conversation. Other than that you're sitting like a herring in a barrel.
