28/05/2025: No staff and pictures do not match the description of the hotel online at all. The building has not been maintained as a functioning hotel should be. We have to cancel our stay.

10/09/2025: We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vadstrup 1771 – surrounded by the most amazing natural surroundings just outside the city. The quiet location only contributed to creating a very special and relaxing atmosphere. You are welcomed with a warm and homely atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. An authentic and charming place that can be highly recommended if you are looking for peace, presence and an experience beyond the ordinary. Thanks to Rie and Paul for creating the framework for our lovely 2-day stay.

16/06/2025: Liked it on the island. Only breakfast, but 4 times the same portioned dish. Soft-boiled egg that was hard-boiled, yogurt in a mini bowl with 3 blueberries and some apple strips. 3 kinds of jam, rosehip, blackcurrant and orange in bowls that were so small that they could only cover a bun (which were lovely). The cheese was again mini so 2 couldn't get a piece of brie on the half slice of gilleleje bread that was allocated. When I asked if you could get oatmeal instead of yogurt, it couldn't be done. Wonder how those who were going on a bike ride managed. A good thing that no food went to waste. Rooms, very soft bed, no WiFi, then you had to go down to the library. Good thing the island and the weather were nice

09/09/2025: An awesome flæskestegs sandwich that is a pleasure (and sometimes a mess 😉) to eat. The smørrebrød looks creative and fresh though I haven't tried them myself. Note that this is a little place so don't expect to sit there. Order your food and go sit by the lakes for a great food with a view 😁

14/11/2023: Cool lille sted. Mega chilled musik, rigtig god service, smilende (der er efterhånden langt i mellem smilene de steder jeg besøger) og rundhåndet med mængden af mad. Bestemt ikke et sted man blivet flået. Pris og kvalitet hænger sammen. I bør åbne nogle flere butikker, tættere på Vestegnen, så de mindre engageret sandwichbarer bliver udfordret på deres service. Well done guys.

08/10/2023: A great place for a tasty sandwich. The waiter was very attentive, translating the menu for us dish by dish and recommending his favorites.

20/06/2025: If you love Oysters, good vibes and an intimate settting then this is 5/5 stars. Hidden Gem!
