02/07/2025: Cozy and nice surroundings. Polite and professional staff who are clearly properly trained and experienced in delivering high quality. We had a glass of champagne, which was really delicious. Then beef tenderloin with gemuse, new potatoes and a wonderful sauce. To this, two glasses each of Peter Sisek's PSI. The perfect wine for that serving. Price 1000 DKK per person. The only reason there is no top rating is that the steak was too small. We are in West Jutland and a steak for 370 DKK (plus 60 DKK for potatoes) should weigh more than 150g. I'm not even sure it weighed that much. That's a tall order. It was small! That doesn't ruin the experience, which was really good in all other respects. I would still say we are dealing with the best restaurant in Esbjerg! Perfect for a romantic couple's dinner or a professional networking dinner like we had. Thank you!
31/05/2025: En rigtig dejlig oplevelse at besøge Mundheld. Der er en rolig atmosfære og sødt og smilende personale. Vi fik serveret rigtig lækkert og veltilberedt mad. Der var tid til at hygge mellem retterne. Alt var perfekt. Tak for en dejlig oplevelse 🤩

04/10/2024: Deltog i arrangement med overnatning. Lækker og veltilberedt aftensmad. Har sjældent set flottere morgenbuffet. Gode og rene værelser. Eneste minus er dårlig mobildækning.
24/07/2024: Var forbi kroen igen i år, må indrømme mad kvaliteten er gået lidt ned. Vi fik kro gryde med pom.es og steak af oksefilet. Pommes. Gode og varme med oksefilen var lidt kold. Krogryden var god og varm Betjening 5 ud af 6 Maden overall 4 ud af 6

03/08/2025: There were 4 of us who shared a number of smaller dishes including artichoke, shrimp toast, flatbread with broccolini, squash and grilled spiny lobster. The dishes were tasty with a good variety of ingredients and spices. Cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. We tried a nice white wine from Bogense.
25/07/2025: Fine dining without a set menu, guests can choose from a lovely selection of snacks, starters, appetizers, first courses, main courses, and desserts. Great ambiance, attentive service, and high-quality ingredients. Excellent!

03/04/2024: Vi søgte dejlig kromad og det mødte vi. Dejlig betjening - velholdte lokaler og udsøgt mad, hvor der var rigeligt. Søde og rare mennesker
27/03/2024: Næsten alt var elendigt. Alm. rugbrød Hvidt franskbrød. Tarteletfyld næsten uden kød. Meget trist pålæg. Der var en ost, som var ok.

23/08/2024: Delicious smorrrbrod. They had at least 20-30 choices on display. I chose two. One was the lox one and the other steak tartar. Both delicious. All tables had a reserved sign but they seated me. I think they seat you if they are less busy. But it got full very fast. It is not cheap. Those two cost me 270 DKk which is about $42. That is not a cheap lunch for me but well worth trying. But delicious and the servers were very professional and timely.

17/09/2025: We got food from Martin Kok for a 150th birthday. (25+50+75). We chose the Italian buffet. The food was fantastic and the cold was beautifully arranged on plates. The food was delivered 10 minutes before the agreed time, so there was no need to panic at any time. There was more than enough food. We are very satisfied and so were our guests. Several of the guests asked for Martin Kok's website address. When we wrote to Martin Kok, they were very quick to respond. We have no doubt about where we will order food for our next party.
04/06/2025: I was going to celebrate my 30th birthday and was looking forward to an Italian buffet from Martin Kok. Unfortunately, I am left with a very sad experience. I had ordered for 50 people for delivery with the expectation that we would eat around 3 pm I had not received any confirmation, so I asked a few days before if they could confirm the number and time. Here they first confirm, but then change my delivery time to 12.30 with the beginning “it doesn’t fit well”. Here I would have liked that I didn’t have to contact them myself to find out, but peace be with it. When we are going to eat later, we are not far into the appetizers before it turns out that they have given us the wrong appetizer. They have given us a seafood salad from the Southern European buffet. In addition, 19 out of 49 end up not being allowed to taste the second appetizer, because there was not enough when it was their turn at the buffet. Of those who had received, 14 were children and the rest had limited themselves to 1 slice of carpaccio, as they considered that the quantity would not be enough - it was not. However, for the main course there was plenty of meat, which they should be commended for, but the accompanying chive pesto was not even half of what was given. We received 1 very small bowl for all those people. I contact them afterwards to give some feedback, praising the good things, but of course expressing my ambition for the mistakes. I am completely outraged by the treatment I received afterwards. The owner refuses to apologize or acknowledge the mistakes. First I am told that I have received a starter with a salad of shrimp, serrano and pesto (the one that belonged to my buffet) and even after I send him pictures of the seafood salad I received instead, I receive no apology (I had leftovers from that very starter, picture added here). When I write the part about the chive pesto, I just keep thinking that it can't be right, there wasn't enough for 50 and just ignore the fact that I was the one in the wrong here too (I'm attaching the bowl here). In relation to the carpaccio, the blame is also just thrown back at me with the accusation that the others must have taken too much (we all know that if it's 19 people who don't have enough, then there's something wrong with the quantity). For me, it's incomprehensible that you don't just apologize for the mistakes instead of indicating that the customer is lying... I won't order from there again and neither will the guests.
