13/04/2024: Rigtig udmærket koncertmenu og dertil en vin ad libitum for 175 kr, med nøje udvalgte vine. Men jeg undrer mig over at skulle betale 85 kr, for en dåseøl, som der selvfølgelig er et fint glas til. Men en fadøl kostede 80 kr. Udvalget af øl var virkelig ringe og det undrer mig når det er en Schiøtz Restaurant. Og hvorfor har de en Vinsomelier stedet, hvorfor ikke have en Ølsomelier.

08/08/2023: Many of the reviews written about "Valentino" are outrageous and based on the fact that (German) guests expect a lot for little money. If I choose a restaurant where I pay 99 DKK for a buffet, rather than 14 euros, then I CAN'T expect high-quality food, especially since the drinks are also moderately priced for Denmark. OF COURSE, I have a completely different and differently seasoned goulash on the table at home, the pizza is usually hotter, the fries crispier (a fundamental problem with buffets), and the ribs softer... but everyone has different tastes there, too. So... Considering the price, the buffet is quite extensive, and the food is tasty. While you might criticize the selection (spaghetti on one side, ribs on the other), the buffet menu displayed outside will tell you what to expect. So, when I call Valentino a "low-budget restaurant," it's not an insult in any way, but almost a distinction. In short: The buffet is absolutely fine at this reasonable price for Fanø, even if there's still plenty of room for improvement. However, the price would be almost impossible to maintain!

25/07/2023: I ordered the Jambalaya and cornbread, and I was severely disappointed. How can a southern dish like the Jambalaya be so bland. The rice were mushy, the dish had like 5 shrimps and then I’m a certain that they forgot both the sausage and the octopus… because these components weren’t visible nor could they be tasted. The cornbread tasted great, but the overall disappointed of this meal, doesn’t bring experience up.
