07/04/2025: We had cured herring open sandwich and fried herring open sandwich. There were little bones in the fried herring. Other than that, the food was well prepared. The staff are very friendly. Thank you for your warm service.

29/03/2025: The most consistently impressive and delicious courses for the whole set menu. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend. Just be aware they don’t open until 5pm so don’t arrive early if you have a 5pm booking.

19/02/2025: Mi familia estaba caminando de regreso de ver la estatua de la Sirenita cuando pensamos en parar y tomar un aperitivo. Café Oscar parecía acogedor, así que nos detuvimos. Las entradas que se servían tenían buen atractivo de platos, así que decidimos tener una cena temprana mientras estábamos allí. Los cuatro pedimos una variedad de entradas; pescado, carne, ensalada y un plato vegano. Estábamos muy contentos con nuestra comida. Recomendamos encarecidamente Café Oscar para comida deliciosa.

05/04/2025: A cozy "bodega" with surprisingly good smørrebrød, with an interior that you don't see in many places anymore, Tyrolerkrus pool table and classic chrome element.

11/03/2025: We tried this place for breakfast. At a cost of around €14, drinks not included, we ate a lot of things. Rugbrød with butter and jams, eggs, yogurt, fruit and porridge. All very good. Friendly service but a little slow.

10/03/2025: First week of March 25, the weather is like spring. Beautiful place a little hidden, away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Very good service from waiters (Almendra, Ricardo and Gabriel). We also came yesterday afternoon. We only had drinks. I would recommend it and return. The food looks very good, right?

From the moment you step inside, the dark oak interior and deep green tones set the mood. It’s got that classic, cozy tavern feel—complete with a few old-timers nursing their pints at the bar. The menu stays true to its roots, offering well-executed pub classics with a side of danish, but what really stands out is the beer selection. With over 70 different beers available, there’s something for every taste, whether you’re into craft brews, limited edition styles or just want a solid pint of lager. For food, we went with stone bite roe, Wiener schnitzel, and tartare with all the fixings. Honestly, the quality was well beyond what you’d expect from a pub. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and generously portioned. The only hiccup was that the starter and main arrived at the same time, which meant I ended up eating my main alone. A quick check-in from the server on timing would have solved that, but overall, the service was friendly, attentive, and added to the welcoming vibe of the place. Price-wise, it’s in line with what you’d expect in Copenhagen, but the portion sizes are a pleasant surprise—definitely bigger than anticipated. All in all, a great visit. If you’re after a classic pub experience with better-than-expected food and a killer beer selection, this spot is well worth a stop.
