14/10/2025: I had come to hear some really good Rock after we had been to a concert. The atmosphere was really good. There wasn't enough space so you had to stand up most of the time. The service is really good. You got your drinks or beer fairly quickly. Thank you for the good experience. Unfortunately, I can't give anything for the food because I haven't tasted it.

The price was affordable considering the quality of the food and the prices there. The cookies, also homemade, were delicious. We would definitely return.

24/09/2025: Absolute gem of a restaurant! It’s a set menu but they do surprise you with some extra courses. The potato was the best thing ever. Overall really enjoyed the menu, unique flavours and textures. Highly recommend making a booking and stopping by. Perfect for a moody date night

22/09/2025: We had a great time at Høst, it’s clearly a very busy place and due to that it is very systematic and quick service, each course arrived very quickly after another. Maybe even too quickly but it suited us well. We had the 3 course menu and bottle of Albariño wine that was both nice. Few surprise courses came during the meal.

28/10/2025: Franks Kro. I’ve actually been here before, back when the place was called something else, and I think it’s quite funny that every time I’m here, a lot of alcohol somehow ends up being involved. That probably has something to do with the fact that I was here with a colleague of mine who’s a chef and who knows the owners, so I was nicely introduced. This place is all about classic Danish food. The good old dishes you know — Wiener schnitzel, stegt flæsk, plenty of pork, and lots of beer. Proper grandmother-style cooking, and man, it’s so good. The food is just genuinely delicious. All the good principles of traditional Danish cooking are right here. If you’re ever in the mood for proper, old-fashioned Danish food in Copenhagen, this is where you go. Not only is the food great, but the service is also top-notch. The staff are funny, welcoming, and know how to take care of their guests. You can tell they actually enjoy what they do. The interior matches the vibe perfectly — cozy, homey, full of character. The decorations make it feel like a proper kro, in the best way possible. Beer is flowing, the stegt flæsk is crispy, the sauces are rich, and the whole atmosphere is just wonderful. All in all, a really great experience.

24/10/2025: wonderful time was spent here with my wife. we are out of towners but felt all the hospitality we could have asked for. the wait staff was fantastic and kind, the beer was massive and fresh, and the food was so filling it’s criminal. some options were all that you can eat and it was honestly crazy to think i could eat more than what i was served. deffo recomend

12/10/2025: Loved it all. We picked the 5-courses menu, 2 desserts, and 2 glasses of wine. Few tables, good music, attentive service, and delicious, well-made and well thought food. All the dishes were flavourful and interesting. The dehydrated beetroot with pumpkin foam was mindblowing (especially since I normally don't like beetroot). Terrible pics cause I was too busy eating and thinking about the food. Thank you for the great night! 💘

20/09/2025: The place is beautiful, and they let you taste the wines before choosing. All of them were incredible, by the way! We ordered two glasses of wine, some olives, and some cheeses. A great place for the afternoon before dinner!

14/10/2025: Loved this place so much had to go back a second time. Great Speakeasy with incredible drink menu, frozen Espresso Martini was delish! Robin is an awesome bartender and the entire staff made me feel like Norm in Cheers when I returned!!!

10/10/2025: Cozy bar in the center of Copenhagen. Nice and cozy rooms in the basement. The drinks are ok but definitely also paid. Ok cozy bar but you also pay for it.

04/10/2025: Hidden gem and what a nice atmosphere and dinner experience. The food was excellent and all with an authentic taste. Extra bonus was the wonderful wine pairing from a special wine house from Catalunya. If you look for authentic food, stop looking and reserve here!

21/09/2025: BE SURE TO MAKE A RESERVATION My mother and I attempted to dine here last night. We did not expect to be in Copenhagen but our plans changed, and we found ourselves without a dinner reservation on a Saturday night. We stumbled upon the sidewalk sign and got excited at the prospect of a Caribbean meal. To get to the restaurant, you had to navigate through an alley along the Flamingo restaurant that led into a poorly lit interior courtyard. There was signage along the way, eventually leading to a doorway and staircase. It seems like we were about to ascend into someone’s apartment, so the New Yorker in me immediately wanted to turn back. My mother was more daring than I and went up the stairs. We were happy to see a dining room with tables nicely set, and mostly empty at about 7:30pm. We were greeted by a nice young woman who explained she would have to inquire about whether we could be accommodated. I assume it was the manager/owner who came over to us next. She first asked if we were vegetarian and then explained that our only options would be Jack curry or jerk chicken. She quite matter-of-factly stated, we saw the reviews and that’s why we were there. She then explained that guests reserve and see the menu beforehand. As mentioned above, we simply saw a sidewalk sign. We’ve never heard of this place or read any reviews. Since we were not fans of the entree options, we left. Honestly, the impression we walked away with was that the owner/manager was probably relieved we didn’t stay as the energy was not warm at all. Now that I have seen some reviews, I write this for the benefit of another potential diner who might glance at Google before going. Walk-ins appear to be frowned upon so either make a reservation for another day or face extremely limited food options. Don’t be discouraged by the entry! My father’s side is Caribbean and I’ve had some delicious food throughout the islands and in NYC. It would be nice to see how this Copenhagen restaurant compares. Plus, I’m always looking for a great place to host my law firm’s holiday dinner. (Please note: I gave 5 stars as to not distort this establishment’s predominately positive reviews. I will definitely update if we get a chance to dine here)
