02/08/2026: The coffee was just regular, nothing special. Several tables were dirty, "clean" glasses for water were dirty, the glass for our juice was stained from previous use, not clean. No toilet for customers.

The setting is pleasant, though a bit dated in some areas and in need of a refresh. The terrace could benefit from more heating on cooler days, though the provided blankets and heaters are a nice touch. Tablecloths would also help elevate the presentation and ambiance. The food is generally very good — simple, fresh, and tasty. The bread could definitely be fresher, but overall dishes are well prepared, and desserts are especially enjoyable. The mains are about average compared to Parisian bistros, but slightly above average for Copenhagen. Staff are polite and generally responsive, though sometimes a bit distracted and dressed in a style that feels slightly old-fashioned. Still, they maintain a friendly, professional (if sometimes overly informal) attitude. The bathrooms could be cleaner and more modern, and the interior décor would benefit from some updating, but the overall charm remains undeniable. Located in one of the most luxurious parts of Copenhagen, just behind the d’Angleterre, Café Victor remains a personal favorite — reliable, lively, and enjoyable year after year. I’ve been coming here for many years and even went twice on my last trip — it’s my go-to spot in Copenhagen when I want a classic, comfortable dining experience.

05/01/2026: A very pleasant surprise. Charming restaurant with good service. The food was plentiful and tasty, but a bit too rich. There's limited seating inside, so reservations are recommended if possible. No vegetarian options were available.

22/07/2026: The bread is delicious. We ordered a croissant (with butter and cheese added on the sesame-sprinkled bread), a ham and cheese panini, and a mozzarella panini. We also ordered orange juice, an apple shaker, an Americano, and a flat white. It's interesting that the juice and shaker have ginger in them, but it's not bad; they taste fresh. Above all, the bread and cheese are super tasty!! They said you have to take the key to the building next door to use the restroom. The owner? The woman is very friendly! It's quiet and nice.

21/10/2025: We were there during dining week in week 42. The food was so delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and the waiters are sweet and welcoming. Especially their ravioli with mushrooms was so delicious, but everything was really delicious. Worth a visit!

09/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic evening at Vesterbro Retour. The service was the best I have experienced in Denmark. The steak was better than the ones I have tasted at Mash several times, and the dessert was absolutely perfect. We will definitely come again

05/07/2026: A truly beautiful place, the service is impeccable, and the food is delicious (the béarnaise sauce served with the red meat is incredible). I highly recommend this place and will gladly return.
