The food is generally very good — simple, fresh, and tasty. The bread could definitely be fresher, but overall dishes are well prepared, and desserts are especially enjoyable. The mains are about average compared to Parisian bistros, but slightly above average for Copenhagen. Staff are polite and generally responsive, though sometimes a bit distracted and dressed in a style that feels slightly old-fashioned. Still, they maintain a friendly, professional (if sometimes overly informal) attitude. The bathrooms could be cleaner and more modern, and the interior décor would benefit from some updating, but the overall charm remains undeniable. Located in one of the most luxurious parts of Copenhagen, just behind the d’Angleterre, Café Victor remains a personal favorite — reliable, lively, and enjoyable year after year. I’ve been coming here for many years and even went twice on my last trip — it’s my go-to spot in Copenhagen when I want a classic, comfortable dining experience.

13/08/2025: 2-for-1 deals on 0.5L draft and Carlsberg...so great place! The service is also very friendly. The location is also perfect...great for people-watching...in short, a great pub!

08/08/2025: A nice little pub with music in the evenings. I was there myself in the afternoon on a normal afternoon with a couple of friends. 75kr for a ½l draft from the tap, so it's also paid. Fortunately they have some good hours, including 3-5pm, where there is 2 for one when it comes to beer.

04/12/2025: The atmosphere is truly enchanting, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. It’s hard to evaluate the food quality because it was served cold. With the steak, they didn’t even bother to bring the proper knife. We had to wait a very long time for our food, with no appetizers offered while waiting. The service was cold and unfriendly, which makes me want to avoid this place in the future — especially when it was obvious that local guests were being served quickly and with a smile. It’s such a shame that such a beautiful place is ruined by poor service. Even empty glasses that were clearly no longer needed were left on our table.
