De bedste restauranter i Nordjylland

30/04/2025: Vi havde en fantastisk oplevelse for et år siden med lækker mad og venlig betjening og var fortrøstningsfulde, da aftenarrangement med mad og vin igen blev flyttet til Strandhotellet. Maden var helt i top igen - virkelig udsøgt. Der var flere vine at vælge imellem - også en med prop og uden proptrækker. Vi var denne aften kun to par tilmeldt arrangementet, og måske derfor overså personalet os og fulgte ikke op på noget. Hovedretten kom på bordet, inden tallerkner fra forret var fjernet. Personalet virkede meget uengagerede i vores besøg, og der var ikke megen service. Det virkede meget tilfældigt, når de kiggede vores vej Vi håber, det var en engangsforestilling, men vil nok overveje, om vi næste gang melder fra, hvis arrangement igen må flyttes.

28/04/2025: Overall a good experience, lunch was without the advertised open sandwiches, but there was so much other delicious food. The inn needs to get a handle on the lunch price, which was 169kr on Facebook/website, but was adjusted to 189kr. somewhere. I'm happy we got it for 169. Other lunch prices were to be expected.

24/08/2025: We did a wine tasting, which was absolutely outstanding. The owners were able to explain each wine to us laymen, and afterward, we were given a tour of the impressive winery.

24/08/2025: We decided to go there spontaneously and were given a very warm welcome by Jan and Gitte. The park golf course is great fun, and the grounds are maintained like a golf course. After a pleasant wine tasting, we slept peacefully in the RV. Thank you Gitte and Jan for your hospitality! We'll be back!

11/11/2025: We visited the inn for MortensAften. The food was excellent! An experience and consistently perfect. Likewise the service: friendly, polite, advisory, professional. The location is just fantastic. A wonderful forest area in the middle of North Jutland! Now unfortunately some CONS: We took a suite for one night. There is probably a hot tub here, but no bath mats, soap, shampoo or bubble bath. A no go. No possibility to make coffee/tea in the room. No sockets at the desk. And last but not least: The receptionist has a hard time getting a smile on his face. The friendliness and service mindedness are missing outside the restaurant. That could otherwise be expected at a large hotel of this price range. Maybe North Jutland moderation. 😉 Still: We enjoyed two lovely days.

09/11/2025: Rold storkro takes you back 40 years in time. It's dark and boring. Especially if you have children with you. It would be every pensioner's paradise. The rooms smell of sour shoes, they are worn and the wallpaper is peeling in the corners. There is mold and old soap residue on the tiles in the bathroom. It looks like something that hasn't been renovated since the 80s. There is a pool at the hotel, which is obviously not heated, and is so cold that penguins wouldn't even jump in. Rold storkro is not a place for children. If you are planning to have a party and invite children along. Then don't, nothing positive will come of it. - Or you could stick them an iPad. One of the waiters for the party we were part of was downright rude and had a deeply unprofessional behavior. Grumbling about when the children's menus were supposed to be on the table and grumbling about cleaning up after dinner The food wasn't particularly good either. Poor presentation of the dishes, with waiters arguing about what was being served. A starter that looked so appetizing I wouldn't even give it to the dog. The breakfast buffet was what you would expect from an inn. Nothing was missing. Rold Storkro is located in beautiful surroundings with a really nice view. Right up to the forest, where you can take some good walks. Rold Storkro gets one star for the location. The rest isn't worth it.

05/11/2025: We ordered chicken pide and adana durum. They were too oily, cold, and not well prepared. Service also wasn't good.

25/07/2025: Cool place and super inspiring. Old fishing boxes that are collected at the beach. Are made into new useful things. You can make your own key ring or spinning top with their casting machine

02/09/2025: A really good baker with a large and tasty selection of cakes 😋 Buy bread and cakes from your local baker! There aren't many left, so your purchases help preserve and develop the fine craftsmanship of the baking profession.
