12/09/2025: This is the best food I’ve had during my two day visit in Aalborg. The tasting menu has 10 items with generous portions. The chef clearly has put thought into the pairing of the food!
11/09/2025: Fantastic place.
I visited Applaus as part of a large group. I have celiac disease and when I mentioned it, it was completely taken care of and I was given fantastic alternatives where needed. At the same time, I got the same explanation and story about the food as the rest of the group, and the waiter had my dishes completely under control. Superb.

22/08/2025: Sweet and helpful baker lady who helped me find my way around the other side of the super annoying roadworks on Buderupholmvej. I had taken a 20 minute detour to end up in the same place without being able to get through.
The whole trip home from Hadsund took twice as long as usual because of the roadworks 🤬
BUT the baker lady helped me. Thank you so much for that. 🤩❤️

06/07/2025: We know Dörthe from the days when she still had her café. Now she has combined a pottery and home in Tversted. She offers beautiful cups, plates, and other pottery. It's always worth browsing; open when the Danish flag is visible at the entrance.

16/09/2025: Nice ordinary lunch take your own table, delicious food however the liver pâté and cheeses were not to our taste it was missing a good piece of sliced cheese don't know why more people switch to brie and some blue cheese
The liver pâté was very tasteless
04/09/2025: We made a reservation by phone and immediately asked if dogs were allowed. The answer was yes and we were very welcome.
We were greeted by a cosy atmosphere with very nice but also large restaurant rooms and a terrace area.
We had Norway lobster and onion soup, which were very good starters.
For the main course we had a veal shank in a hearty sauce with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
We also had a medium roast beef burger with excellent side dishes, and rarely have we had such crispy, delicious chips in a restaurant. Even my special request was catered for without hesitation and was fulfilled.
Chapeau!
And thank you very much for the friendly service.
We would love to come back.

12/09/2025: We went to a soft ice cream in Denmark three times because it was so delicious.
24/08/2025: We ate delicious soft serve and ice cream there. The prices are in line with Danish prices. For four people, we paid the equivalent of about €25. The small portions were perfectly adequate, and the portion sizes were very generous.

01/09/2025: Fantastic sushi, people will say it's expensive at sushi fresh but I think it's everyone. It was super fresh, and they have super friendly people who welcome you with a smile and a good atmosphere. And their sushi is generally just better than everyone else's☺️

09/09/2025: Classic Italian family-owned restaurant with a long history. Run by the second generation. Well-made pizzas with excellent ingredients. Crispy base and plenty of freshly grated parmesan. Also many classic Italian dishes on the menu and a large wine cellar with good wines in different price ranges. Nice service. The only warning is about their baked pizza where the tomato sauce is served on the side. Stupid concoction.

18/09/2025: we have eaten in the restaurant where everything was 10/10.
Today we ordered food to take home, but unfortunately it did not live up to the food up there. The food was bland and boring, and only tasted of rice.
From now on we will eat up there….
13/08/2025: It was the first place we were recommended when we came to Aabybro. It has been a really good experience with the food, good quality handmade sushi, and the service was tip top. We can highly recommend the small sushi restaurant in the heart of Aabybro🤗

11/09/2025: A very nice bakery in Løkken, right next to the Meny supermarket. They offer delicious breads, rolls, and cakes, both large and small. You can also sit inside or outside, although this isn't ideal due to the parking spaces.

The service was excellent. The young man was very attentive and helpful. Always our first stop after settling into the holiday home.
09/09/2025: The burgers were really delicious, as were the fries. The service was super friendly and attentive, top notch!
We'll definitely try the pizza one of these days, too, as the one at the next table looked really good. 😉

Authentic dishes that are seasoned with each course....very good homemade spring rolls.
12/08/2025: Cute little kiosk where they cook and sell delicious thai cuisine (mainly takeaway). The dishes are priced at 95DKK (~€12,50) and the snacks are a bit cheaper. The food was ready in 15 minutes! If you would like to sit outside you can have a seat at the 2 wooden tables with 2 chairs each. Would recommend!!
