22/07/2025: This review refers exclusively to the pedal boat rental – not to the food or the ambiance, which was quite photogenic, by the way. The rental shop is beautifully quiet – a truly postcard-perfect setting. And hey, there's plenty of parking. That's a good start. Now for the boat ride, which had more of a Titanic vibe – minus Leonardo DiCaprio. With a bit of hand-to-hand communication (and a card reader that was apparently on strike), we managed to rent a boat. And then: nothing. No one there, no instructions, no pirate flag, no "Ahoy!" In front of us were four pedal boats – like the contestants on "Boat or Dummy?": - Two were more like aquariums than boats – filled to the railing. - Number three was in the third row, behind two canoes that looked like a ninja course. With kids? No chance. - Number four looked like the only viable candidate – so up there we went. We wanted to quickly organize a life jacket for the littlest one... until we came across about 50 randomly stacked in a wooden shelter. Whether you could just help yourself or whether a life jacket would jump right in your face remained unclear. Safety level: spontaneous. The boat still had some trash on board – apparently we were the crew AND the cleaning crew. But hey, adventures and all. As soon as everyone was seated, we discovered the "waterfall from the inside" – massive water ingress, the boat probably wanted to take a bath itself. So we got back out, without a dramatic rescue – but at least we were dry. Feedback? Hard to do when no one was there. We left the money we paid anyway – as a donation for boat repairs or to finance a working card reader. 😅 PS: As we walked to the car, another pedal boat chugged happily back. The couple on it looked happy – apparently, it works sometimes. Lucky boat principle. PPS: The food looked great – maybe we'll try it next time and skip the boats.

20/07/2025: Turistfælde!! Vinder gæster pga. beliggenhed ved åen. Der er enormt dårlige service og betjening. Tjener er ubehøvlet og uhøflig. Taler ned til gæsterne. Sodavand serveres varme og uden brus. Pizzaen virkede allermest som om det var en købe-dej. Pomfritter serveret i en dyb tallerken, og vi bestilte hvidløgsdressing på pizzaen, men det blev serveret i en lille skål. Maden smager ikke godt. Vi kommer aldrig tilbage!

10/08/2025: Food quite good. Maybe a different bread for the burger and Bies waffle would have fitted better. We were four and waited for the food more than 40 minutes.

27/07/2025: Kvaliteten fejler intet, men i forhold til prisen er man skudt helt ved siden af. Min søn og jeg fik husets burger til frokost, og det var da en udmærket burger, men fik en lignende på et bedre spisested i Aalborg 30 kr billigere for to dage siden, og så var den både bedre og med mere tilbehør til. Endnu være var det med stedets charcuteri brædt. Indholdet er nærmest ikke eksisterende til ca 200 kr pr person. Så kan det godt ske, at Kvaliteten er ok, men det gør det ikke alene. Til stedet fordel var venligt personale. Øllet var ok til prisen, men det bør det vel også være på et bryghus.

08/07/2025: Super good food and friendly staff! We had Chili con Carne, Chicken Breast and Grilled Beef Fillet, everything was delicious!

23/06/2025: Langsom (og ikke særlig imødekommende) service, lang ventetid, dødsyg mad, kedelig øl, og alt for høje priser..... Det kan ikke anbefales.

01/06/2025: Tip: You can sit here and eat something even if you don't play golf. Someone recommended the fries, and they were 👍. We were a bit unlucky with the weather. I think if the weather's nice, you can also sit outside with a nice view of the fjord.

07/03/2025: Fantastic place. A true "Bruun" pub with smoking allowed everywhere as grandpa knows it a bit crowded but still big enough to hold a concert.

22/07/2025: A great little bakery with excellent bread, delicious rolls, and incredibly delicious cakes 😋🍰 The fact that the super-friendly saleswoman also speaks German was a nice bonus.

06/07/2025: We were in the situation last night to get to Frederikshavn from Gothenburg, and 50 children including coaches had to be transported from Frederikshavn to Aarhus by bus, the bus never came. So we were allowed to stay at this hotel until the next bus came, they were so good at helping us, they provided chips and good service. And they were so happy and accommodating. Thank you very much for all the help last night, so that we didn't have to stand outside and freeze for 2 hours.

04/07/2025: Great with ceiling fan in room. Water park was also very cool. Very good breakfast.

01/08/2025: Sad! Waste of money! There is some sushi, yes - but wok? What is that?! There are nuggets and fries and chicken skewers. Smaller children are happy, but older children are also waiting for something wok or something exciting. 🙁

09/08/2025: You write that you are open 24 hours, I have driven all the way from Copenhagen and now we have driven an extra hour and you are not open for 24 hours.

31/07/2025: Tourists, run away! They don't accept foreign credit cards or MasterCard. But we're allowed to pay in euros... with a surcharge, of course: 164 DKK = €21.97... for the owner, that's €25. Why not... but they throw us change (obviously less than the difference in euros), not a smile. I preferred to cancel and leave when I saw his behavior. If you don't want tourists, put up a sign outside. With such kindness, I understand why your restaurant was empty!

16/06/2025: Every time I'm here, my first stop is Bindslev Pizza 🍕. Since I always have two dogs with me, I take food home with me. So far, everything we've had here has been delicious. I highly recommend it...
