De bedste restauranter i Nordjylland

05/08/2025: Nice young people in the restaurant and kitchen are fine. Rooms are ok and it is clean. We had booked 4 nights and after 2 the weather was bad, so we stayed at the hotel to have lunch and then go out. We couldn't get that despite it clearly stating it is possible on the hotel's website.! They didn't have time due to a party of 100 people in the evening. We could walk into town (in pouring rain and with poor walking). Another comment that they were baking bread, but my expression resulted in "I can go out and ask", but we gave up and checked out on Monday instead of Wednesday. We paid for the entire stay with all expenses, because that is what we had booked. The hotel should consider whether they will put resources in place to suit, or either run a hotel or only parties. We have now been to Hotel Søparken 3 times... first, only and last.

06/09/2025: We were greeted by smiling and friendly staff, and the service was quick. Unfortunately the food was not very good, my husband got chicken salad, a very small portion, and there was more salad than chicken!!! My fish fillet was fried in rancid oil! So we were not as satisfied as the last time we were here.

30/08/2025: The atmosphere was nice and cosy until a pungent odour of drain suddenly hit us! We sat just opposite of the kitchen door and next to the toilets. It was awful but luckily we were done eating. The fish was too salty, unfortunately. Main meal very small with a little piece of cod and 3 tortellinis. Dessert was a chocolate mousse, quite nice but topped with a tasteless and chewy merengue. Unnecessary! More chocolate mousse and less trying to be chichi. Most surprising part of the dinner: the bill If you choose entry of the day, main of the day and dessert of the day you pay less then for the 3-course menu consisting of the exact same 3 dishes. The waitress argued that if’s the chef who sets the prices and this is how it’s done in Denmark. Well, so be it, but we won’t return in this case and felt a bit fooled. However, lovely Pinot Noir!

08/10/2025: the room smelled of dead animals. The positive thing was that there was hot water in the taps.

14/12/2025: Good food, fast service. But I was unfairly fined 985kr. So unfortunately I can't afford/want to come again.

15/10/2025: Remember to put the slice on otherwise it could end up being an expensive meal.

14/08/2025: Noooo it was terrible! Lousy churros, lousy ice cream, lousy drinks… They ran out of Daim sprinkles, and out of the blue they just threw in a bunch of other things. 4 wrong orders out of 8…. It took them 17 minutes to take a pie out of the cupboard, and make a rum and coke. Tasteless. Nooooo

14/08/2025: I went out for ice cream with my family, but the experience unfortunately did not live up to expectations. One of the party did not receive what was ordered, and I had chosen three toppings for my ice cream, one of which turned out to be sold out. Instead of asking me for an alternative, the staff chose to replace it with something else on their own initiative. It would have been much better to let the customer choose for themselves. The churros were also dry and tasteless. I will not pay 79 kr. for such an experience again. In addition, another person did not receive their chocolate cake until the rest of us had finished our ice cream.

05/08/2025: The restaurant area was far too small for a buffet restaurant, there wasn't much room to walk around and you were sitting too close to other guests. There was really a lack of variety in the buffet, which wasn't replenished regularly enough. Just overpriced for the buffet and especially the drinks.

24/06/2025: Unfortunately, this is the worst 670kr. our family has ever spent at a buffet restaurant :-( We should have ‘turned around’ when we saw that the restaurant was COMPLETELY empty when we arrived - that’s always a good indicator of staying away. The few dishes that were there seemed old and possibly reheated several times. There were NO vegetables in the dishes, I found a bit of carrot and another undefinable vegetable in one dish. Their sushi smelled SO bad of old fish that I forbade our girls from eating it! We would have 200% probably gotten sick from it! You could then choose some meat and vegetables yourself and have them fried by the chef, which we tried. Here too, the beef had a strange aftertaste. Both my husband and I have a strange feeling in our stomachs after our visit. In conclusion, is it perhaps also “overpriced” to charge 78kr. for a large cola? Or is it just us? … Ouch, we would have liked to have saved that money :’-(

29/05/2025: Tasteless and REALLY a lot of cheese... the coke was warm, but very nice staff.

17/10/2025: We got our food very quickly, but it was missing a pancake and even the pancake dish was NOT as described AT ALL. There were 2 tiny vanilla lumps with a splash of syrup on the plate. On the other hand, their sandwiches were super good.

04/10/2025: Add for an experience 🤮🤢 We read that it was fresh ingredients, but their Fish’n Chips were anything but fresh. The “fish” were partially frozen and their fries tasted like rancid fries. The poor waiter apologized and offered another round. My wife refused and I really should have too, because I had to give up eating it after a few mouthfuls and left the place with a sickening taste of fries in my mouth. We will never return so we were offered a free meal, ugh 😠

06/10/2025: Stars for the price. Very satisfied. Super service. Good breakfast with what should be of good quality. Good beds, nice and clean.

20/08/2025: The food is great. You have to like sitting outside on the street, but the interior is nicely decorated. Service is okay.

06/09/2025: We had a Margherita pizza, chicken rolls, and half a chicken. The chicken was good, but the chicken rolls could have used a bit more dressing and seasoning, and the salad was also good without any of it. Perhaps not quite what German tourists are used to. The pizza was really not good; the base, while thin, felt like cardboard, and the cheese seemed to be a cheap imitation cheese. It was absolutely useless, unfortunately. The staff was very friendly, though, and the wait time was acceptable given the busy times.
