13/09/2025: Very individual hotel, staff are so welcoming. Rooms are small but sufficient.

09/09/2025: With all my respect, I cannot give this hotel more than one star. I stayed at this hotel for one night, from September 3–4, before my 9-hour flight, and unfortunately it turned out to be the most stressful short stay I have ever experienced. At check-in, the staff could not locate my prepaid reservation for nearly 30 minutes. During this time, I even asked if I should book another hotel, but was assured everything was fine. Eventually, I was checked in and told all was in order. Later during my stay, I received repeated calls from the receptionist claiming my payment had not gone through. This was extremely uncomfortable and stressful, especially since the payment was already confirmed and visible both in the Booking.com app and on my card. The call even came during the hotel’s happy hour, while other guests were being served wine — which felt humiliating and unprofessional. When I returned to reception, the receptionist told me they had a “wrong card” on Booking.com and therefore could not take payment from them. I showed her proof that the payment had already gone through in the app, and she said she understood but insisted she needed a card “on file.” I specifically asked what would happen if I was charged again, and she assured me it would not happen — that it was only for their records. This turned out to be untrue: a second charge was processed without my authorization, using the card I gave solely for their “records.” What is most concerning is that the hotel later claimed my reservation was for 2026 — to say I was shocked is to say nothing. This is the very first detail that reception staff should check, and such a critical discrepancy should have been noticed immediately. But not during the check-in process, not later when I was asked to come back to the hotel, and not when she took my card “for their records” was the wrong date ever mentioned. Even if such a mistake with 2026 dates somehow appeared, it was the clear responsibility of reception to notice and inform me immediately, not to check me in and later call me with confusing and stressful messages. With all respect, as I said above, I cannot consider this acceptable service or professional behavior. AN UPDATE: The hotel now claims they did me a favor by checking me in for the “correct” 2025 dates at the beginning. This is absolutely untrue. During the call when the receptionist asked me to come back to the desk, she kept repeating that my booking was fine and that she only needed my card “on file,” assuring me there would be no extra charge. This happened during wine happy hour in the lobby, in front of many guests - so there is no need for me to make up such things, it was heard by others as well. There was never any mention of a different reservation or “new charge.” If she knew it was a new reservation and deliberately did not inform me, that is not a mistake — it is fraud. She did not take my card “for the record”; she misled me and charged me again without my consent. What is even more concerning is that after this entire incident, the hotel never once thought it was necessary to apologize for the stress and inconvenience their unprofessional staff caused me before a long international flight. You can imagine what kind of service this is. I have already informed all my friends and acquaintances, and they are shocked. My honest advice: stay away from this place.

23/10/2025: Had booked dinner at Hummer via a deal. All in all a good evening and we left the restaurant very full after more than two hours. Relatively few guests on a Wednesday evening so easy to get a seat and the noise level very low. The food was generally good with pasta orzo as the absolute highlight. The Tataki dish apparently contained sun-dried tomatoes which were absolutely inedible (tough) so they were left on the plate. The dessert was a bit messy and nothing to write home about. All in all an okay experience - but not 5 stars in some categories.

14/12/2025: When we arrived we were greeted by a grumpy lady and she apparently had time off at 3pm because at exactly that time she left even though it said someone was checking in.

03/12/2025: We had a nice weekend experience at Nilles Kro when we were visiting our daughter at Hadsten Højskole. The room was OK - clean and neat, and there was TV2 so we could watch the national team, which was a big plus! In the restaurant we had a 3-course menu on Friday and Saturday, served by friendly and service-minded staff. It was "country food", but it was well-prepared with good ingredients and tasty. The breakfast buffet was adequate, I would say - without being flashy.

27/07/2025: Thanks for a nice evening on Wednesday. We ordered shooting stars and Wienerschnitzel, both dishes were so good. Yum it tasted good and the service was good. Will definitely recommend the restaurant to others and will come again myself.

24/09/2025: Best way to disconnect, You'll forget about everything there. The materials, tools and colors are perfect. The staff were so friendly as well. I'll definitely go there again.

23/07/2025: Good atmosphere, nice place and friendly service. Unfortunately the food was only ready 30 minutes later than agreed - we also had a large order for 44 people. The food was packaged in leaky containers which leaked into the car and unfortunately caused the paper bags they were packed in to break and burst. The food tasted delicious! However, 150kr is a lot of money for a delicious but relatively simple tofu-rice dish. But we were full and it tasted good :)

21/08/2025: Well, expectations were high based on other reviews. But it wasn't that great. My kebab mix was fries and kebab with a dressing of some kind, no green what-so-ever. My wife's pasta bolognese was covered in cheese topping and gratinated. So an alternative preparation of pasta bolognese... The staff started by offering us a German menu. All in all, no, nothing to write home about.

28/07/2025: Maybe you know the window where you can by goodies… but there is a hidden gem behind the fence. A beautiful garden where you can enjoy food and drinks. I put as a must their bun with butter and cheese!

18/11/2025: I am delighted with Up-Town! 🤩 The food was incredibly delicious, a real culinary miracle. 😋 The service is at the highest level, and the atmosphere is simply wonderful. ✨ Definitely recommend! 👍

04/08/2025: Up-Town in Løgumkloster sounds like something out of an American movie with bright neon signs and teenagers hanging out with milkshakes in their hands and heartbreak in their hearts, but in reality it's more of a cross between a grill and a pizza joint with ambitions of comfort food for hungry customers. Here you get what you see, and there are no surprises. I threw myself into a deep-pan pizza with chicken, pepperoni, mushrooms and onions. A combination that on paper should sing in your mouth, but in practice it felt more like a chorus of small, cold notes. The taste was subdued and not something that jumped in the palate with enthusiasm, but the size was fine, and you could easily be reasonably full for the 100 kr. it cost. A meal where you didn't feel cheated, but not particularly spoiled either. The service was a bit of a mystery. I sat there waiting for a waiter for a long time before it dawned on me that here you are worth your own order. It is up to the guest to trot up to the cash register and remind the world that you exist and want some food. It is kind of okay if you know that. The atmosphere in the room is also not something that invites long conversations about life and blazing love; rather a place you go when you are hungry and can neither bear a fire nor the hassle. However, Løgumkloster does not have many places where the pizza actually tastes a bit like pizza, and in that light, Up-Town may be exactly what the city needs. - Okay size and price - Mild flavor without the big arm movements - Deep pan with soft bread and muted dreams - Waiterless experience with self-service plot twist - Not a restaurant, but a rescue on a rainy day - Best pizza in town (for whatever that's worth) 3/5 stars Maybe I'll come again, but next time I'll go straight to the checkout.

28/09/2025: A truly exceptional place. The stuff is super friendly, the music is quite mild and allow people to converse. The whole vibe was so friendly and people were actually interested in getting to know the people who come in. If ever I'm back in Odense, this place will be a must revisit. Thank you for a wonderful time
