28/08/2026: Absolutely delicious. Authentic Sicilian cuisine. Very, very good food. Excellent red wine. There were seven of us – everyone was extremely satisfied.

26/08/2026: Really good and tasty pizzas! Real Italian atmosphere. Airy and delicious crust and made with fresh and good ingredients! Definitely worth the money! 😊

19/08/2026: The steaks were barely okay. The strange thing was, that we got them maybe three minutes after ordering and they were not really hot. It seems, that they are precooked and then only very shortly warmed again (and that not in a beefer or similar) and not prepared fresh. This is not what I expect from a steakhouse. The sides are okay and it is a nice idea that you can serve yourself. Service was okay and friendly. But several things in the menu were not available. Also we couldn’t get an espresso after diner as the machine was nicht switched on. Maybe that was due to the fact of it being Monday and not many people going out to eat on Monday. But still it was disappointing as it is not really cheap.

09/08/2026: We were a bit skeptical due to some of the reviews, but we were not only pleasantly surprised, but would definitely come back anytime, and certainly more than once. The food is top-notch. There's an all-you-can-eat salad and potato bar. And "all you can eat" here doesn't mean a drop in quality. The salad selection is plentiful, and the potato bar, with its fries, gratin, baked potatoes, roast potatoes, and vegetable sides, is equally impressive. The steaks are truly outstanding. Delicious, cooked to perfection, just as ordered. The ribs (bones) were also excellent. And what makes a visit perfect? ​​When the service is superb. The staff was not only quick and attentive, but also happy to give tips on what to see and do nearby, or how the beers taste. We were particularly intrigued by the Porse Guld. It's a beer brewed without hops, and we really enjoyed it. Afterward, we went to the supermarket nearby to pick up a few to take home. A wonderfully harmonious little restaurant that is definitely not a typical tourist trap. Absolutely worth it. Fun fact: It used to be a disco. Our only criticism: They don't have draft beer – especially Porse Guld on tap would really enhance the place 😉

21/08/2026: Only place in town that makes a good potato pizza with real potatoes on glass and not the dry slices you get on frozen. Always had the best pizza here.

20/06/2026: I have been coming to Salato for many years and have always asked for “a lot of dressing” in my sandwich and when I asked for the same today, I was told that it costs 6 kr extra for “extra dressing”. I ask if this is new, to which the answer is that it has always been like this. I don’t know if I have been “lucky” for many years or if I caught the clerk on a bad day, but I have never been informed and have never paid more. I don’t mind paying extra for more, but the amount you get for 6 kr extra is extremely small, I am not unreasonable and I am not asking for more liters in.. 95 kr for a sandwich with “extra” dressing is deeply bad and I have to look for another sandwich place unfortunately.

07/08/2026: Great experience! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we felt really welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious, fresh and of high quality. The service was fast and professional. I highly recommend the place and will definitely be back!

01/06/2026: The grill is closed. The barracks at Smedebroen in Trige have now been converted into a parcel shop. Confusingly, opposite, outside the former Daglig Brugsen, there are so-called parcel boxes.

08/08/2026: Pricey, but great burgers made from authentic and sustainable stuff. No real place to sit and enjoy it, but go for the burgers, and never mind the rest. Sometimes, they are too busy to properly handle things, so be ware.

11/09/2026: The service was excellent! We ordered takeout, and the employee pointed out a special offer for ordering through the app. The pizza was fantastic. The potatoes and fresh tomatoes were absolutely delicious. Ordering a dip on the side is highly recommended – even the dough is superb!

28/08/2026: I used to be a huge fan of Otto's but after the concept changed. It has clearly deteriorated. Tomato sauce and pizzas have changed on the menu and I have nothing against Kølster soda but sometimes you just want a completely plain cola.

16/08/2026: The display on the fuel pump is partially defective. This makes refueling and payment difficult.

09/07/2026: It wasnt a pleasent sushi experience. It was boring and the rice felt overcooked. We know that running sushi nessecarily isn't as good as a dedicated sushi place, but this was just plain. The Fanta we ordered also had a bunch of black specs in it. To that they gave us that drink for free, while the rest of the drinks (that we ofcourse did not finish) were paid for. The lady at the cashier laughed as if it was fun and said "oh its probably from the hoses" and pointing to the soda machine. I wont recommend Huang Cheng as a sushi place, but the Chinese food was alright.

15/07/2026: The staffs were very rude to begin with. As I entered they wouldn’t even look at or greet me. Didn’t even got to order my food because they got pissed off that I spoke Norwegian and English to them, but they still couldn’t understand. Had a very nice Dane translate my order to them (they were all foreigners of Arab descent), but still they were very rude and not welcoming at all. Had to leave without food. Didn’t thought the worst experience I would have in Denmark as a tourist would be from foreigners.. Hence I’m foreigner myself.
