19/09/2025: Usually, the staff are really nice to me, but this wasn’t the first time that one of the guys served me with an attitude. I wanted to grab a pastry from the bakery section and was curious about one of them. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Danish, so I didn’t know what kind of filling the pastry had, and I also wanted to know if it was very sweet or not. Instead of a helpful answer, I got a reply with attitude. He corrected me (of course, on how to pronounce the pastry name) and said, “Yeees, it’s sweet, because it’s a pastry…” Excuse me, but if you want to sell your products to someone who is simply trying to learn about them, that’s not the way to respond. I just wanted to know if I would actually like it. Usually, it’s a nice place, but I know that if this guy is working the next time, I won’t go inside — because he ruins my mood instead of improving it. That’s really sad. This also wasn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with him. Whenever I order something from him, his attitude makes the service really unpleasant.

25/09/2025: Had a company Christmas lunch here, the food and service were sublime. I've only heard good things about the place from those who have visited it on regular evenings. Highly recommended.

07/12/2025: Piano Bar in Herning is a really nice and cozy place with great facilities and a fantastically sweet staff who always greet you with a smile and helpfulness even if they don't always speak Danish. That's part of what makes the place so pleasant to visit. Unfortunately, my friends and I have experienced several times that the owner greets us with a negative attitude. The last episode was the last straw, we were asked to move to make room for a smaller group than us, which we did completely peacefully and graciously. Shortly after, we were asked to leave the place without explanation. This meant that we had to leave both the beer towers and shots that we had already paid for. It wasn't the first time we had an unpleasant experience with the owner, and overall it has meant that we have now had enough of the place. It's a real shame, because the bar and the staff have so much to offer, but repeated negative encounters with the owner have ruined the desire to come back.

04/11/2025: Location is off the highway. Noise 24/7. Check in painless and can do 24/7. Spar, grill bar and ok gas station at the site. Cheap

29/09/2025: 29/9 2025 which was closed upon arrival 17:30 2023/2024 The good fast food, the staff makes a doner plate or durum roll as you wish. Can definitely be recommended. It can be difficult to get a free parking space during the day, so use one of the large spaces.

23/09/2025: They make good pizzas. A bit small and if you want to change/add something to the pizzas, they look at you a bit askance. However, the staff always has a smile on their face and are friendly. The lights hang low, so you walk into them. 😂

21/12/2025: It went wrong right from the start. The menus were not the same. We wanted to have something to drink before the meal, and try one of their special beers, there were so many on the menu that they unfortunately didn't have. We ordered 2 x ribeye 1x turbot and 1 time red deer. The ribeye was cold and sinewy, the sauce was cold and then there was a sprinkling of greens on it, the poms were fine. The turbot looked like a small starter for 365kr The red deer was very delicious. Dessert 1 time ice cream ok 2x Mazarin cake with melted chocolate, the Mazarin cake was not eaten, as we did not have tools to separate it. 1x cheese consisted of 3 small cheeses 3 dry biscuits 2000 kroner for that experience, if we could do it over again we would have had a greater experience by going to McDonald's, we will never go there again.

20/12/2025: Good service, but the food was absolutely nothing to write home about paid over 1000kr. for the food and drinks, it was really bad. Ordered fish with some noodles that could be from Netto. Ribeye steak was ordered, cooked medium with was more than red and with tendons in it. We got 2 different menu cards, so it was a bit difficult to figure out which one worked, when I had to order beer I had to order 3. Times a day they didn't have the first 2 choices even though they were on the menu. So I won't be going there again.

05/02/2026: If we could give 0 stars for food, that's what we would have done. There were 3 of us. We come from a long way away. 2 order salad. A bowl of very roughly chopped iceberg lettuce arrives. 3 pieces of tomato and tuna and chicken respectively. Quite a bit of dressing. A pizza is ordered at the same time. 20 minutes after the salad is eaten, a cold and limp pizza arrives. As an apology, the man brings a pizza tray with a new pizza that he says we can take home. But what are we going to do with a new pizza. We were on a trip. It would suit them to tighten up a bit in the kitchen. Plus we enjoyed our very expensive cola. 40 kr for a 0.5 l in a plastic bottle. When we had to pay we were directed to the bank. No payment by card or MP. We will not come again.

30/12/2025: Get food quickly and it tastes great!

22/10/2025: Huge cozy decor at the back, which is only for those who have booked a table in advance. We first got tapas for 2, then an extra order of dirty fries Greek style, then drinks and finally smoothie and coffee. Not once in the almost 2 hours we were there did an employee come over and ask if we needed anything. In fact, they were nowhere near, so I couldn't call a waiter over to order more, but had to go all the way to the front of the store and order. The tapas were really boring. Very unimpressive. The drinks, on the other hand, were beautiful and delicious! In general, everything took far too long to make. We especially waited 25 minutes for coffee and smoothie. We would like to try to come back again to enjoy the ice cream, which looked delicious. But we won't be back for the food.

18/09/2025: Not fooled by the service. A young girl who must have started today. 2 others who looked over her shoulder a bit, but then disappeared into the back room. It took half an hour to get a cup of coffee and 2 pieces of cake shoveled onto a plate. It only had to be moved twice! There were very few customers. Why would she have to handle the service alone?

29/08/2025: Cozy place. Ordered a pasta dish with chicken for 179 kr., but the portion was really small - didn't get full. Ordered water ad libitum, but you have to go in and get water yourself.

22/11/2025: Really good sushi. The selection wasn't the biggest I've ever had, but I didn't miss anything, and it tasted so good. What was supposed to be hot was hot, which was delicious, and it all seemed freshly made. They had Melona popsicles for dessert, which was super delicious and different from other Asian restaurants' desserts. The staff spoke English, but that wasn't a problem, and they were nice and smiling. I can only recommend the place, and will definitely eat here when I have to eat sushi in Herning. I'm already really looking forward to my next visit 😊

18/11/2025: Fantastic restaurant experience in Herning!!!! The food is really delicious and very Instagram-friendly 😉. The dishes are arranged in a way that makes it easy and inviting to eat sushi. When you are seated, the staff asks if you have been there before, and if not, you get a nice introduction to the concept. The staff is international, many of them students, but two of the female waiters speak Danish. It is not quite perfect yet, but they make a great effort, and it was nice to be able to speak Danish with them. Both were very welcoming, fast and generally super nice. They also ask about allergies and know the menu by heart, which gives the impression that they take the guests' needs very seriously. The restaurant is cozy and relatively small. It can get a little noisy when it is full, but you can always request a specific table when making a reservation, and they really try to accommodate that. The order is made via tablets, where you can tap on the pictures to see ingredients and allergens, really user-friendly. The food also came quickly. We ordered wine, which was served with free water that you can refill yourself, and we also tried a Japanese soda. We ate everything we could, and almost no leftovers, because everything tasted amazing. The fish was very fresh, the waiter mentioned that the chefs cut fish every day, and you can taste it. After the meal there was coffee, cake and ice cream. The restaurant is very clean, and the same goes for the toilets. They can be a bit cold in winter, but that is quickly over, and the restaurant itself is pleasantly warm. A little extra detail made the experience even better: the waiter told us that the wine bottle she was serving from was almost empty, and instead of throwing the leftovers out, she gave us an extra top-up in the glasses. A small gesture, but really appreciated. All in all, an excellent experience, both the food and the service were top notch. I doubt that any other ad libitum restaurant in Herning can match them. Highly recommended!
