28/06/2026: I had finally promised myself never to set foot at Rib House again, after the terrible service we received last time. But since my wife wanted to, we had to try. Once again, no service at all, we sat for 20 minutes waiting for a "waiter" or whatever we should call them, just to order drinks. Several people walked past us, but no one had any intention of serving us. Of course, it should be added that there were 4 other couples in the room, so the pressure must have been too great. Pldr. We chose to spend our money somewhere else that has heard of service. If you could give negative stars, this chain would get top marks. A completely miserable staff who have no idea what they are doing. It should almost be celebrated

25/06/2026: My husband and I come to an almost empty restaurant on Friday evening, most of Holbæk is at Skvulp. We sit down at a table, no one welcomes us, no one brings us a menu. No one reacts to the fact that guests have arrived. Three of the young men who are supposed to take care of the guests are busy chatting around and also serving two of their friends who are guests at the restaurant. After 10 minutes, a friendly young man finally comes and takes our order. Training for the staff who are supposed to serve the restaurant's guests would be so much in order. Super unprofessional and inappropriate behavior.

12/12/2025: Was there Morten's evening for duck, tasted good but very small portions, 3 french fries each. Risalamande was laughable, four large teaspoons. It wasn't cheap and they wanted drink money at the terminal!

19/11/2025: We were crammed far too many people into a small room. I know they don't get subsidies, so they have to sell a lot of tickets. But this was way over the limit. You couldn't get out if you had to go to the toilet, for example. Not entirely sure that the fire regulations were complied with. They get 2 stars for a terrific Henning Stærk

16/01/2026: The food is Oki there. But the temperature in the restaurant is low. Very low. We sat and froze. Changed tables to see if that helped. Asked if they could turn up the heat. The friendly employee didn't dare to mess with it. So it wasn't a pleasure at all.

10/01/2026: Unfortunately, it was not a very good experience. We sat for about 30 minutes before our order was taken, even after I had gone up to ask. When we arrived, we were told that the staff would come down to the table and take the order. The food was served at intervals of about 10 minutes. The pizzas came first, and then it took another 10 minutes before the schnitzel and burger were served. It was a shame that the food did not come at the same time, and the burger was also not hot when it was served. The restaurant had also made a post on Facebook that you get a free soda for the rest of the year. We were questioned by the staff twice, even after we had pointed out the post. Only after repeated dialogue was the offer accepted, and here it was also made very clear that it was a small soda. All in all, it was unfortunately not a successful first experience at Botan.

02/11/2025: I ordered pizza from this place and got a pizza with rotten meat that smelled rotten. We ended up throwing the pizza out and when we contacted the pizzeria for a refund they basically told us we were lying. I can't recommend this place in any way. They don't take responsibility for serving food that is not only obvious but can also make people sick.

20/04/2026: Finding a café where you can have breakfast in the morning here in Denmark is quite difficult. This place has a lovely, very calm atmosphere, but obviously it's exorbitantly expensive for us Italians: a single cappuccino costs a whopping €10.04!!! However, they also had soy milk, and it was really very good.

23/05/2026: 3 very small stars, food was ok but not above expectations, long wait for the food, and several diners got their food before us, even though we ordered long before them, the staff seemed very confused and not as if they showed how to run a restaurant, the atmosphere was good after all and there was a nice view of the harbor and water

07/06/2026: At first I got rice that was crunchy, dry and chewy, as if it had been sitting out all day. I called the store and was told I could come and exchange my food. When I go to exchange the food and get a new bucket in my hand, I can feel it is very light. I open it and notice that there is only rice in it. In the first bucket I got, the rice and sauce were mixed together, so of course I expected a whole new portion (I had eaten one mouthful). But no, the young clerks tell me that they can only give me the rice, because that was the only thing that was wrong with it. I argue that I don't want to pick the chewy, dry rice out of the sauce, but the clerks don't understand. Since I'm still not satisfied, one of the girls says that she has to call her boss. She does so, and after a while she comes back and tells me that I will get a new portion. It used to be so delicious, but if this is the standard now, I won't be back! Butternut Chicken is usually made with Squash, but they were replaced with carrots. The sauce had a strange synthetic aftertaste and the new rice - yes, was dry. It didn't taste bad, but it was FAR from the past. Oh, and too bad for Aars and Kylling & Co.
