16/08/2026: Yoko Sushi at Sct. Olai Plads in Hjørring is an exciting sushi place that stands out from the more traditional restaurants – not least because of their serving robot. 🤖🍣 The robot is one of the first things you notice, and it gives the place a modern and slightly futuristic feel. It's a fun detail that makes the visit more interesting, and children in particular will probably find it quite entertaining to experience a robot in a restaurant. It's also a good example of how technology has gradually become part of the restaurant industry. Yoko Sushi offers sushi ad libitum, so you have the opportunity to try many different types of sushi instead of having to choose one specific menu. There is a large selection of different maki, nigiri and other varieties, so both those who prefer the classic pieces and those who want to try something different have good options. They also have lunch specials, which makes it interesting to visit the place earlier in the day. In addition, they have various larger menus and offers if you would rather order a certain amount of sushi or take the food home. The food is beautifully and colorfully presented, as sushi should be, and there are many different combinations with, among other things, salmon, tuna, shrimp, avocado, tempura and various toppings. This makes it easy to put together a meal with many different flavors. The location at Sct. Olai Plads is also really nice. There is a large parking area right next to the restaurant, so it is easy to get there by car. At the same time, the restaurant is close to the center of Hjørring. I especially think that the combination of sushi ad libitum, a large selection and the slightly unusual serving robot gives Yoko Sushi its own identity. Many sushi restaurants can look similar to each other, but the robot is one of those details that you remember afterwards. A cozy place to go with family or friends, where the experience itself becomes a little more than just eating sushi. If you love sushi and at the same time think that a little technology and robots make visiting a restaurant more fun, Yoko Sushi is definitely worth trying.

04/08/2026: Super cozy place and not too many people, so there was plenty of room to talk and eat in a cozy atmosphere. The food was super good, beautifully presented and came quickly. Everything was super nice, and it was a good price. We ate for lunch and couldn't eat anymore when it was dinner time.

05/09/2026: ★★☆☆☆ – From Roskilde's kebab gem to Roskilde's big disappointment This is actually one of the reviews I'm most sorry to write. Roskilde Kebab & Grill Hus has been one of my personal favorites in Roskilde for many years. I've eaten here countless times and have recommended the place to friends and acquaintances from almost every corner of the world. For me, it was one of Roskilde's little kebab and pizza gems. But unfortunately, recent visits have been significantly worse, and today's experience was the last straw. My friend and I came in in a good mood, and I decided to try their barbecue skewers 3 skewers for 150 kr. We ordered, and so far everything was fine. We waited about 30-40 minutes for the food before my friend had to go down and ask about our order. It turned out that we had been forgotten a bit in the rush. Of course, that can happen, and it wasn't really what made the difference for me. When the food finally arrived, the skewers looked quite nice at first glance. But they only came with two small pieces of bread. I thought there must have been a mistake when it said bread was included. So I went down and asked if that was really all the bread that came with it. The answer was yes and the way it was said, where I experienced that people almost laughed at the question, certainly did not make the situation better. I really just thought: duck it - it is what it is. Then I started eating. And this is where things really got problematic. The rice was so overcooked that it was more like boiled porridge than rice. The meat was extremely dry and lacked both juice and flavor. I almost felt like I was exercising my jaw muscles rather than eating dinner. 😂 Both the chicken and the Adana meat were very dry. The chicken was a bit better than the Adana skewer, though. Their tzatziki was okay and was actually almost necessary to even get the meat down. Before we left, I chose to make the staff aware of the experience. Not to create a bad atmosphere, but because I sincerely think it's a shame when a place you've previously been so happy with drops so much in quality. And that's perhaps exactly what disappoints me the most. I've called this place Roskilde's kebab gem and sent people here for many years. But if the quality continues like this, it's hard to defend that recommendation. 2 stars and that's primarily because of the many good experiences I've had here in the past. Because today's experience was simply not good enough. Long wait, forgotten order, very small amounts of bread, overcooked rice and extremely dry and tasteless meat. It's really a shame. I sincerely hope that they find their way back to the quality they once had because I would actually like to be able to recommend the place again.

12/09/2026: We arrived, were quickly assigned the table we had reserved and it wasn't long before we were able to order our food and drinks. Drinks came after a few minutes, the food took maybe 10-15 minutes. Quite reasonable preparation time. All burgers were super freshly made and hot, and so were all our sides. Drinks were cold, as they should be. You sit in diner seats like at other Sallie's, and the Race Lounge is cozy enough (there is a view of the go-cart track, since you are sitting on the first floor), but we have to admit that Sallie's in Albertslund by the motel is a little cozier and has a more authentic "American Diner" atmosphere. The staff was young and both presentable and very welcoming. Absolutely exemplary service from start to finish. The food was - as always at Sallie's - a pleasure. Simply burgers and fries, as they should be made. Can only recommend!

23/10/2025: Located in the middle of Hjørring. Walking distance to restaurants, discos and attractions (museum and such). Nice staff! Breakfast was simple with bread, freshly baked rolls and cold cuts! Various drinks. Decent rooms with WiFi and TV. Decent bathroom. Quiet and peaceful place!

17/06/2026: Have bought food there for the last 25 years, when it was the absolute best grill in the area between Øresundsvej and Sundbyvester plads.. But the last 8-10 months the service has become too bad... When you enter the "store" there are 2-3 times as many "food vendors" as customers. And they are much busier getting food out than serving customers in the store... I think they got new owners/managers So stop haggling with that era.

16/05/2026: The food is always top notch. One of the places I will always choose if I don't feel like cooking myself. They are lightning fast and the food is always ready on time.

22/08/2026: I love Fanø and am a big fan of the island's restaurants. But this place was awful; maybe it was just an off day, but the service was completely overwhelmed and couldn't get anything right. Wrong food, wrong drinks. Tables piled high with used dishes. We noticed that she wouldn't take your order unless you came to the counter. Many people gave up and left. The food (even though it was the wrong order) was tasty. We'll try again; we don't give up that easily.

07/08/2026: It's really hard to find a cozier - more committed place to eat. It's young people mixed with older people 😉 and there's an incredible charm about eating with them - and they (I'm a trained chef myself) are really skilled in the kitchen and generous with the wine. Try it, you won't regret it 😀

16/05/2026: We chose Francophile because of the good reviews, and not least the menu card. When we arrived we were greeted by two very young and sweet waiters, one of whom was so busy presenting us with the menu of the day that he was clearly irritated that we allowed ourselves to ask about the menu they had on their website, which they could not deliver, on the grounds that the owner was on vacation and could not access and edit their website. We ordered their white asparagus as a starter, which should have been served with a foam, which turned out to be a cream sauce. It tasted okay, after a bit of salt. For the main course we would have had their fish, which they did not have. And chose their lobster dish with salmon. The salmon was dry and tasteless, and had to ask for bread. The bread was delicious though. We finished with cheese, which was excellent, although served refrigerator cold. And a glass of almost explicit and expensive port and red wine, both clearly showing signs of having been opened far too long. Perhaps all this was because the owner was on vacation, and we were unlucky to come at this time. The location and small intimate room are top notch. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
