08/01/2024: Virkelig lækker mad, hyggelig stemning og til en yderste rimelig pris. Vi kom af med under 800 kr for 3 personer for hovedret, dessert og vand/øl til os alle. Vi fik braiserede svinekæber med mos (møre og lækre) samt lækker gateau marcel. Det hele i rigelige mængder og lækker smag. Det eneste vi kunne ønske var endnu flere gæster til at skabe stemning. Men det må vi håbe kommer jo flere der opdager dette fine sted. Det er bare at komme afsted og opleve det:)

31/08/2024: Har været på stedet flere gange uden problemer men denne gang var under alt kritik. Vi var 4 gutter afsted vi ventede på maden i 45 min 🥵🥵. Meget skuffende da jeg så bad om regningen fik jeg besked om ikke og komme der mere , keg her ikke ord 🥲🥲🙈
18/08/2024: Ankom. Fik anvist et bord lige under en højtaler, hvorfre der h-kom ubehagelig musig (høj og dunkende). Bad om nyt bord. Ejeren !!!" sagde hvad siger I , jeg kan ikke høre noget, I må da være sensible". Mere arrogant og nedladende behandlimg har vi aldrig været udefor, Da vi efter længere tids ventetid fik vores bestillinger, var det elendigt.

30/07/2024: The owner knows something completely unique. The interior of the café is something completely special. It is adventurous and unique. We had meatballs and fish meatballs that tasted good. A recommendable place with homemade food.
15/07/2024: Fantastic homemade food and dessert. Great service. Absolutely gorgeous decor and the opportunity to buy local crafts and fine art. Can only be recommended.

27/12/2024: Stylishly decorated, a friendly and attentive waitress, and overall a delicious dinner!
We were there for the first time and had tenderloin steak. The steak was cooked to perfection. It was beautifully presented. The fries were delicious and crispy. Our absolute highlight was the mushroom sauce. It made you want to lick your plate 😍
18/12/2024: We celebrated our daughter's birthday for the family, and had the adjacent 'lounge/mini-party room' to ourselves. It was decorated super nicely and we felt very welcome. The service was sublime and the food really good. Huge, huge recommendation from here! We will definitely be back :-)

Best items are tomato soup n daal curry ( I’m vegetarian)
We kept coming back to this restaurant since last 3 years and now it is temporarily closed, very sad

29/10/2023: Super yummy! Excellent Indian food. Delicious and flavorful. We enjoyed a lot these spicy flavors. Great place and a very interesting price.

14/07/2025: I’m devastated by the news that Høvlen is no-more, and that it got bought up by investors from Reffen street food.
This iconic place lasted 135 years. Thanks Iben for some real hygge. And of course not forget Buster 🐾. Hope to see Høvlen getting back to what it was, but for now, I’m scared it will turn into some juice-bar.

27/08/2025: They were talking about how much I dipped in my mayonnaise, how much chili I put in the pita bread. The pita bread was fine until I got to the bottom. I think there was kebab in it, and I had ordered it with chicken.

we ate at the pop-up of the Aarhus Syv Ni 13 restaurant
(Wednesday, August 20, 2025).
We had the large 7-course menu—
it was excellent, and the value for money was very good!
The hotel's facilities were suitable for the meal, but unfortunately, we can't comment on the hotel itself.
"SAMSØ is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended!"
