23/11/2025: Atmosphere, atmosphere not found in many other pubs/restaurants. Guldkronen has a fantastic staff. A place to be experienced and enjoyed.

17/12/2025: Warning: Be ready to be kicked out after 30 minutes if you only order drinks. I usually don’t write bad reviews, but this was just a shocking experience. Came there today with my partner around 12:30 to have some hot chocolates. As the place was getting busier for lunch time, around 13:00 the manager (I think he was the manager as he was fixing up some chairs in the cafe) came up to us and said “I’m going to have to ask you to leave as people need space to eat”. The table was reserved for 14:30, so I’m assuming he wanted to fit another paying table in before the reservation comes. As someone who works in a cafe, I’m shocked that people get treated this way if they don’t order food. Especially being kicked out without an apology of any kind is something I have never experienced. If I knew that I was going to have to order food around that time to at least sit there for over half an hour, I would have left. This is such a shame, as I have visited this cafe a number of times and have always had a lovely time. The service is always good, especially today the girl was very sweet and even came up to us to ask if there was something we were missing.

19/10/2025: we came hungry and hoping for tapas. Unfortunately they weren’t serving tapas from 4-5pm so we could only get toast and fries. Luckily the toast and fries were delicious. Also lattes. We liked sitting outside in the park. Overall a cool little place and enjoyed the music decor

14/01/2026: We went there in a nice sunny Saturday and there was an amazing atmosphere! It was very lively and the most filled restaurant there. The food was very good and the service was nice as well! The portion sizes were large and for me that is a good thing 😊 the drinks were also quite nice. Would definitely visit next time I’m in Esbjerg.

13/01/2026: The burger at wildebeest gastro pup was nothing short of delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked – juicy, flavorful and clearly made with respect for the ingredients. Everything worked together, and you could tell that every detail had been thought through. The staff deserves a special plus. They greeted us with smiles, good energy and a genuine friendliness that you rarely experience. The service was simply beyond the norm – present, welcoming and with a clear passion for the place and the guests. The atmosphere in the GASTRO pup was very special. Relaxed, cozy and with a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer – and definitely come back. A clear recommendation from here
