06/11/2025: I didn't find them friendly, especially the guy who is there sometimes. He just has an "attitude" and never smiles. The young girls are more welcoming and smiley. Otherwise, a super nice and clean place - good atmosphere for work etc!

05/06/2025: We had read that it was a 5 course menu - BE WARNED that when they say 5 courses, they count the starter (salad), second platter (2pcs asparagus) and the main as 3 COURSES (mackerel, potatoes and green leaves). I’ve never heard of a restaurant that counts a plate of potatoes as a full course, let alone a sharing salad. We felt deceived and high-key scammed especially since we are paying 500kr per person for a 5 course meal, EXPECTING 5 courses, not 3. Secondly, the menu stated “whole grilled mackerel” but we were surprised when they served ONLY 2 small whole mackerels to share between 4 PEOPLE. Food was good but honestly we felt we got scammed. You can get better value for money elsewhere. 😞💔

17/04/2025: Skærtorsdags frokost i Ølhalle - bord bestilt for 3 mdr. siden - ingen plads før kl 14. Vi er kommet Ølhalle mange gange før. Første og forhåbentlig sidste gang blev vi forvist til baglokalet (slyngenstuen). Hvor man støder hovedet mod dørkarmen når man skal ned og hente mad, og selvom man er 177 cm. Derudover er akustikken helt vild dårlig når lokalet er fyldt. Man kan ikke høre sig selv tænke endsige hvad ens familie havde at berette. God betjening som altid - dog giver det nul mening (virker lidt som optrækkeri), man som gæst skal betale 399 kr. for smørrebrødsbordet fra kl 14 og “kun” 299 kr. før kl 14. Specielt når man for 3 mdr. siden ikke kunne vælge er bord før kl. 14. Deruover ervdesserten nu ekstra! - mener den (fx æblekage og lign) tidl. var inkluderet i prisen? Så samlet set var det en lidt for dyr fornøjelse for 4 voksne og 1 barn = 2600 kr. med øl og vand.

09/03/2025: En rigtig fed måde at opleve det klassiske frokostkøkken i DK. Her er alt lige fra en sildemad til hønsesalat og æggekage. Mums siger jeg bare 👍

03/10/2025: Go there for the view! Self-service, small but o.k. menu. You need to buy a ticket @ ground floor to get up there, but you can also visit the exhibitions for that!

06/08/2025: We had a booking as a group of four and ordered 10ish dishes to share. One of us was celiac so asked the waiter which items were gluten-free, and he said he didn’t know on some of the items but confirmed some more obvious ones like oysters, peppers were gluten-free. I asked if he could check and he told us to order what we wanted and he’d confirm with the chef if any of it was not gluten-free and he’d let us know before the order went through. I thought it was an odd approach but complied. 10 minutes later our food started coming out, with the entrees coming first despite ordering a bunch of starters. All 10 dishes ended up being served at the same time - no way we’d be able to eat everything while hot meanwhile there’s mussels and prawns in sauces being served which are unpleasant cold. I asked another server if the food always came out at the same time and she said only when asked to come at the same time, otherwise the server placed the order in courses.. which our server apparently did not? Then our initial server let us know as the final dishes were being placed down that some of the dishes we ordered weren’t gluten free - wish we had been told before the food ordered so we could adjust as needed. All in all, throughout the evening I asked several questions: which items were gluten-free, for a description of a few white wines, for a description on one of these dishes, if there was decaf espresso or tea - all of these were answered with “I don’t know”. For a place with prices like this, I’d expect much better service with staff who are familiar with their menu.

14/10/2025: There has certainly been shrinkflation in the Bronx. In the past it was a place where you could get your fill, for an okay price. Now water costs 35 kr. Per person. You get half the amount of fries you used to get and a burger with bacon has exactly 1 piece of bacon in it. The food is good, but quantity, price and quality do not correlate as they should. Therefore only 2 stars.

09/10/2025: Nice experience until the food arrived and the meat was almost completely rotten and soft, I really don't understand how it can be so difficult to make a complete burger

10/10/2025: At those prices, you would expect the cakes to be no more than a few days old. Unfortunately, that was not the case with the lemon tart, which was soft and rubbery. The bread was okay, but not up to par with a French bakery.

19/09/2025: We stopped by for a savory breakfast and decided to try the salmon quiche out of curiosity. It was nice, though nothing extraordinary. The staff, however, were very friendly and welcoming, which made the visit enjoyable.
