06/01/2026: Standard chain hotel. Nice rooms with great views, spartan breakfast and a perfectly good gym. The surrounding area is heavily influenced by construction activities. Pleasant and solution-oriented service. Inconveniently located for those without a car, but bus no. 18 or the boat to Sluseholmen will get you there, or you can use the newly opened Metro station in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel offers free outdoor parking. The room is not cleaned, and you have to collect towels and toilet paper yourself from the reception. Snow in Copenhagen made the January stay a unique experience ❄ Updated late summer 2025: The hotel has shifted the check-in time so that you get fewer hours in the room for the same price. It's "shrinkflation". The room was still available, but for a cost of 200 DKK. It's both petty and greedy. The next thing is that you have to pay extra for breakfast. We left our luggage in the car and took the 200-kroner note with us to the bodegas in Sydhavnen. Updated January 2026: There was a rumor, now breakfast is no longer included in the stay. The hotel charges several hundred kroner per person for this. Based on previous experience, it is not worth it. So we chose to have breakfast in the neighborhood and thus support the local business community. Parking is also no longer included in the stay, and entails an additional cost for the stay. The hotel is still under renovation and clearly shows this. So why on earth do we still choose to stay there when we are in Copenhagen. One thing is that we were not aware that parking is no longer included. The other is that we like to have, albeit temporarily, the zip code 2450, we support BK Frem, when we live in Copenhagen. However, we will probably have to reconsider our plans for accommodation on future visits to Copenhagen. (Being pushed out of Sydhavnen and into Høje Taastrup due to gentrification is, after all, an experience of the real Copenhagen).

31/12/2025: Not a 4-star hotel – at most 2.5 stars. Rooms were far apart, and despite asking, no solution was found. Information about the New Year's Eve party was incorrect. Very poor room cleaning: bed linens were not changed, only one room had fresh towels, dirty floor, no bath mat or toiletries. Not recommended.

17/11/2025: I had an excellent experience at Mangai Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and very welcoming. The employees were incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. The food was exceptionally tasty, full of rich flavors, and beautifully presented. The wine selection was also impressive, and the glass I had paired wonderfully with my meal. Overall, Mangai is a place I would happily visit again and highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a pleasant dining experience.

12/07/2025: Honestly quite disappointing experience. The orange wine I tried was nice but food-wise the selection was very poor and nothing like what’s shown in the photos which was the main reason why I wanted to go there. The menu selection was olives, pickled vegetables, bread, meatballs and cheese plate. I decided to start with some olives and pickles and that already was very disappointing, pickles consisted of mushrooms and some strange greens which did not taste or smell fresh at all so I barely touched them. Based on that I didn’t want to risk ordering anything else. Not to mention the place was practically dead for a a Friday evening. The girl who worked there was nice though.

23/10/2025: Electronic-focused club: tuned sound, interesting lineups and a dance floor that peaks late. Friendly crowd.

27/01/2026: Nice location, a little worn out facilities both rooms and dining area. Small reception area and always crowded in breakfast time. All right location vice, needs upgrade and downgrading in price.

19/01/2026: Honestly, the customer service is lacking in this hotel. The location is the only benefit. Early check in costs 35 euros. They don’t do complimentary bag storage, they have storage lockers in the basement which you have to pay for. This can add up in costs. Umbrellas are not complementary and you have to pay per use unlike a regular hotel which may charge if not returned. Just pay a little put more and go to the hotels next door which provides all of these basic things for free, like how a normal hotel should. Breakfast I think was 15euros a person if you add it upon checkin if not it become 20-25euros I think. Very disappointed overall by customer service. I’m glad I’ve been to other Scandic hotels and have had better experiences. If not I would have blacklisted Scandic hotels from hotel chains I stay at. Regardless in terms of the room, it was clean and spacious no complaints in that regard.

12/11/2025: We felt very comfortable in this restaurant. Friendly service. Varied menu. The food was delicious and plentiful. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the garlic naan, though. It was a bit dry, and the garlic was hard to find. But otherwise, highly recommended.

11/11/2025: Exactly what I was hoping for, deliciously lush, not watery, not timid, flavourful and scrumptios.

08/11/2025: Lovely relaxed atmosphere with fabulous food. We had a three course meal and enjoyed every bite. Afterwards we enjoyed a lovely live jazz concert on site.

02/01/2026: Unbelievable that I had to wait 40 minutes for my food, even though I was the only one in the store when I ordered. Two families who ordered after me got their food before me. It clearly seemed like the families were being prioritized over me, even though I had ordered first. There was no appointment or special arrangement. The employee was also difficult to communicate with and seemed indifferent. I have been eating at Shish for over 3 years, but this experience was extremely poor. Very unsatisfactory.

10/10/2025: Authentic Italian pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven, delicious and plentiful spaghetti, impeccable service, and friendly staff are the order of the day here. The generous and friendly owner has a big heart. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to savor authentic Italian cuisine and atmosphere. Thank you, Luigi.

04/12/2025: Good authentic tacos, not very good value for money. For 170 kroner I actually expected to be fairly full. Service was quick, if you were remembered. Food was forgotten and nothing was done or mentioned to fix it. No apology either and not much room for those sitting behind. Probably wouldn't come again
