08/02/2025: My husband and I stumbled across this gem on our first visit to Sawtell, which also happened to be for our anniversary lunch. The waitress was Italian herself, and was incredibly enthusiastic about the food. She immediately recommended the Focaccia. We got one of the Focaccias with mozzarella, mortadella, and pistachio salsa and one with prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato. They were absolutely insane! The Focaccia is made in house every day. The mozzarella is sourced from a specific farm in Byron Bay, and the pistachio sauce is a delicacy of the particular part of Italy the owner and chef is from. Every single ingredient was amazing. We also had 2 lattes, which were delicious (and. we're coffee people). Then, the chef and owner surprised us with a pistachio Cannolo, which was also insane (and special because it was our anniversary)! I have yet to come across a restaurant in Australia with service this good and people who are obviously passionate about their food. If you go to Sawtell, you have to go to this restaurant.

04/05/2025: The hotel is located right next to the train station and is within walking distance of the center and main streets, which is great for exploring the city. The cleanliness of the hotel and friendly staff is also a plus.

30/04/2025: Terribly managed hotel. 2 days already with no room cleaning done. I had to go to reception to ask for it. Definitely not worth paying that much, there are plenty other hotels much cheaper and I am sure with rooms cleaned daily.

26/05/2025: We were amazed by the atmosphere and the room. I love how they have decorated the place. Service was very good from the staff, they were charming and friendly, and seemed like to have a good time during their job. We chose the complete menu, which is chefs choice. 4 starters ‘family style’, and then a main course for each person. The starters were amazing and delicious, the main course, noodle salad, was a bit boring and didn’t have a lot of taste, so asked for some sauce (siracha/hoisin) which they brought to us. We knew that we didn’t have the dessert or coffee included in our order, but we were actually sitting and feeling that something was missing after the main course, and it felt a little bit disappointing to end with a main course. The waiter was kind to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee, but we already over budget after food and wine menu. But overall a great experience. Food & drinks: 3 stars Atmosphere: 5 stars Service: 4 stars Price: 3 stars 4 stars total

06/05/2025: We didn't go for lunch or dinner, just to have a drink. The waitress who was charming to us was the guy at the bar, not so much, but not unfriendly either. Expensive for what we had but we were not surprised by the country prices. Cool place.

17/04/2025: Good food. It's a little pricy but tastes very good. We ordered the kebab sandwiches and cup of falafel.

15/04/2025: Unfortunately, the pita had junks of burnt pita attached to it, which to me means they are not cleaning the grill sufficiently and serving burnt parts. That is a pity, because the product in itself would be nice. When I made the remark the lady replied in a condescending and unprofessional manner, she offered to make a new one undercooked for me... 🤔

25/05/2025: Fantastic evening on Saturday, May 24th in great company with, among others, Jesper Riis and Martin Schack. A prayer to La Fontaine: Get that smoking booth removed now. It's completely hopeless!

18/05/2025: I loved the atmosphere, the music wasn't too loud but we didn't get a live music set when we went on a Wednesday night. The cocktails are relatively cheap compared to the other prices in Copenhagen.

11/04/2025: ¡Oh, Dios mío, este fue uno de los aspectos más destacados de nuestro viaje a Copenhague! La comida era deliciosa y la elección / menú de opciones múltiples era simplemente genial. Fuimos tentados a volver y elegir todas las opciones diferentes al día siguiente. Obtienes un menú de papel donde puedes marcar los artículos que quieras, ya que son platos más pequeños como tapas. Los pasteles eran excelentes también, pero la calidad de toda la comida era genial y el personal era encantador.

09/04/2025: The shop is good and its kebab is tasty but it is like what we call "dirty". The guy making them while wearing gloves took the money we gave him and then our food. He didn't cut proof because he ran out of paper, he said.
