07/09/2025: The atmosphere at Barr is great, with a nice vibe for friends to gather, talk, and enjoy a meal. The food was good but not outstanding, and it fell a bit short of expectations given the reputation. Service wasn’t impressive either possibly due to being understaffed which made the experience less smooth. Overall, decent for a casual night out, but not the standout dining experience I was hoping for

05/09/2025: Way too overpriced. Side dishes arrive significantly later than the main dishes, raspberry from the dessert is moldy… Definitely not worth the money.

30/09/2025: I used to love this place but the past two times I’ve been in it’s been so off. The first time service took ages, the counter was covered in tea-towels that were in the middle of being folded (it was about five in the evening) and the staff definitely seemed pissed off that they had to stop their conversation and serve. Gave it another shot last week to sit in the sunshine. This time there were no staff at all, eventually the chef came over and resentfully poured a Guinness all in one go, when I said he was supposed to let it settle he said “so what - it’s the same volume at the end”. There was also a giant bag of olives just like… open on the counter in the warm sun spot, on their own. Sad to miss a good spot for oysters and a glass of vino - but like, the vibes are off.

30/06/2025: Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at Watami in Valby, which I feel the need to share so that others know what they are getting into. The food was generally tasteless, and the sushi was poorly made – the rolls fell apart, and it seemed sloppy and unprofessional. Everything was served at once, which meant that the food quickly became cold and dry. The toilet conditions were downright disgusting. There was no light, no napkins, and the cleaning tools were openly displayed in a messy corridor by the toilets. A clever way to hide the standard of cleaning. It did not seem hygienic or well thought out. The tables in the restaurant were greasy and full of fingerprints. When I asked for the table to be cleaned, it was quickly wiped with a very wet dishcloth – without any kind of soap or disinfectant. You really wonder if the staff is even trained in basic food safety and hygiene – because the whole experience was absolutely not characterized by that. Finally, it was time for dessert. The table was not cleared of empty plates and leftovers. Everything was left behind. When we got the dessert (a so-called crème brûlée), it was neither crispy on top nor creamy. All in all, a really disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Watami Valby to anyone – neither because of the quality of the food, the hygiene nor the service.

18/07/2025: Jeg holder meget af Café Nick. Et ægte historisk boheme hangout, ikke "retro" men den ægte vare. Men herretoilettet er blevet renoveret på uheldig vis. Upraktiske saloon-døre skaber bøvl. Man skal slås med døren for at slippe ud. Problemet er en papirhåndklæde dispenser, der er anbragt, så enhver kommer i klemme. Personalet er opmærksom på problemet, men tør ikke sige det til ejeren. Hun bliver gal i skralden, hvis man anfægter hendes beslutninger. Så det bliver kun til tre stjerner fra mig.

26/08/2025: Worst kebab of my life, and I've tried it in at least 20 different countries. Expensive, bad, and the service was unfriendly. The pork isn't grilled and the bread is the kind you get at the supermarket. Horrible.

27/09/2025: We usually order here take away buns with cheese, but service is getting worse each time. If you want to take away you need to first wait 15min for your order to be taken as there is one person doing coffee for people eating inside and at the same taking orders from you. After 15min waiting to order you wait 20mim more for buns with cheese, so not complicated order. I would not recommend it as take away as you need to spend waiting 30-40min to get order which is not something sophisticated.

26/10/2025: Cheap pints (by Danish standards). Terrible bar, though. Everyone smokes inside, so you start stinking after just 5 minutes.

18/09/2025: Cozy place for a good gathering among friends and plenty of space, lots of pool tables and nice staff. Unfortunately I wouldn't shout hooray for the food, but all in all a cozy place.
