16/09/2026: Our wedding party at Restaurant Svalegaarden was fantastic! The premises are really beautiful, the food and wedding cake are incredibly delicious, good drinks and really nice staff who are very welcoming and listen to your wishes. I would like to have another party at Svalegaarden :)

13/09/2026: For the 22nd birthday at Svalegården. About 40 guests were invited, and everyone felt comfortable. The party was held the day before yesterday, which meant that there was a "high ceiling" and a super good atmosphere. It was an exceptionally good and unique event, where the food and the wet goods were in the spotlight. I could clearly taste and feel that every single detail had been taken care of. Many thanks for the invitation and thank you for a wonderful party

21/08/2026: An app found the place and counted the calories from a picture. The snail bread with glaze fit my remaining calories. The portion was nice and tasted good. The store is easy and fast.

05/07/2026: My childhood bakery when I lived at Fredriks Obels Vej 16 in the early 70's. We bought a Russian and 2 other nice cakes for the same price as a cake costs in Copenhagen.....

26/09/2026: Had the pleasure of taking my daughter to this restaurant to eat. We both had a great burger, and both were completely full. The burger steak was perfectly cooked to medium, and the taste was very harmonious, with the salad, bbq, cheese, pickled red onion and cucumber and bacon. The fries were just about perfect with chili. For dessert we just had an apple crumble. It was insanely good. Highly recommended

13/10/2026: We stopped by spontaneously today, looking for some good cake. We actually wanted to eat in and have a coffee, but unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed inside – which is totally understandable given the open-air nature of the shop. So we took our selection with us. The value for money is truly exceptional! We would definitely come back! The two employees were very friendly. The restroom was clean. There was parking right in front of the shop.

28/07/2026: Ordered a large Emil Menu with accompanying drink/wine menu. Total price for 2 people 2100ish kroner. The food tasted excellent, but waiting times and timing between food and drink were horrible. We were overtaken for food and drink by a table that came 20 minutes after us, and were caught up by a table that came 45 minutes after us. Even made the service aware that the timing between food and drink was not right, this was then served next time, after which we sat again and waited 15-20 minutes for food with drinks. Despite really good food, we will not be back.

04/10/2026: Got a glass of wine.. The glasses were disgusting, not properly washed, with lipstick on.. blah.. One glass after another dirty.. So asked for a plastic mug instead, but not an experience..

15/09/2026: They had a pizza without cheese for a vegan option and could make a very nice and strong oat cappuccino. Very chill atmosphere in a space shared with a shop selling high end outdoor items like Patagonia. Different from the tourist trap places a few metres away in around the central square. Chill vibes extended to indifferent service on my visit, with the single member of waiting staff barely greeting customers at the door, not asking customers how their food was or if they needed anything. Also to these trash tissues sitting on the floor by my table the whole time I was there. Worth persevering despite the service if you prefer location, ambience, and food over fake smiles from staff.

22/08/2026: Lovely old fashioned bakery shop with tasty bread and cakes.

17/08/2026: Wonderful place created by the host couple Mikala and Stavros! The premises are decorated with Mikala's artwork, and it is a feast for the eyes. Stavros serves a fantastic and honest 3-course daily menu - and then things just go up a notch 🫶 Highly recommended!

12/10/2026: Great fish dishes and a good daily menu. I went there spontaneously, and finding a table wasn't a problem on a Monday evening. It was delicious, and I'd gladly come again.
