21/08/2025: I have previously visited Fænøsund for evening events and have always had good experiences – both with the food and the professional service. Therefore, I had a clear expectation that the lunch would live up to the same level. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We had booked a table, and when we arrived, we asked ourselves if we could sit outside because the weather was nice. Fortunately, we could, and we found a seat. Shortly after, a young employee came with the menus, but after that not much happened. After waiting for over 25 minutes, I went up to the restaurant myself to order, otherwise it would have taken even longer. The drinks came after about 10 minutes, which was acceptable, but the process was far too slow when there are just two people with a simple order. The food – open sandwiches – tasted fine, and the quality is absolutely fine. But the portions were WAY too small for the price. Or rather: the bread was big enough, and there were plenty of garnishes, but almost no real filling. The veal tartare was minimal and almost lost under the garnish, and the same was true for the herring and salmon. At 110 kr. a piece, you expect a decent piece of smørrebrød with substance – here it felt like you were paying for a lot of garnish on a large piece of bread. After the meal, it took an unreasonably long time before we could order coffee. Finally, we gave up and went up to pay ourselves. Here the young employee in the kitchen stood and ate. She just handed over the card machine without a word, without asking about the experience or giving the impression of professional service. All in all, we ended up spending almost two hours getting two pieces of smørrebrød and a cup of coffee – and that in a restaurant that is otherwise known for a higher standard. Fænøsund has a fantastic location, and I still want to come back for an evening event where both the food and service have been really good. But the lunch experience was so poor that I don’t want to repeat it. If the lunch concept is to work, you should either raise the level significantly or adjust the price to match the restaurant's otherwise good reputation.

19/07/2025: Really delicious restaurant with a wildly beautiful view. The food comes quickly or as needed (if you want this) so the service is top notch. They explain what you are eating and the food is very particular. I got a 4 course meal to taste as much as possible, but I am surprised that this year there was veal on the menu and not just fish. Otherwise I remember the restaurant as a purely fish restaurant. If there are many guests, the noise can unfortunately be a bit loud and seem a bit overwhelming to some. A nice little detail is that you can thank the chef (if you want) for well-prepared gourmet food, as he himself comes down to the table..

26/01/2025: A cozy restaurant. We stopped by in January, and there were seats available. Great view of the water. Prices are in the mid-range, the food is top notch, and the waiters have a twinkle in their eye. We had oysters and Moules frites, and can definitely recommend them both 🙏. They also have meat dishes by the way 😉 We'll be back 😊 .. and thanks for the food, and good service!

15/03/2026: A somewhat disappointing experience we had on March 14, 2026. We arrive on time and are greeted by what I would call a completely indifferent waiter. No smile, no eye contact, no menu. We were placed at a table and left for about 10 minutes until the next nice waiter arrived and was so nice to tell us that you had to scan a qr code to see the menu. That should be the minimum as a waiter, to meet the minimum requirements and be polite and meet the customers with a smile and kindness. This one was completely indifferent.

13/12/2025: There is nothing to fault here, the food and service are top notch. While you enjoy your food, there is a super cozy atmosphere here and there is a lovely view.

08/12/2025: A Delightful Danish Discovery at COZY. We visited COZY for a late lunch with a large group, specifically searching for a delicious meal in the area. We stumbled upon an absolute gem nestled in a small harbor. The highlight was the truly authentic taste of Danish cuisine. The ingredients were fresh, and the preparation brought out genuine, wonderful flavors. Every dish was not just well-cooked, but beautifully presented, adding to the overall dining experience. Every person in our large party was completely satisfied with their meal. I made a minor mistake by ordering both the Pan-fried plaice fillet sandwich and the Fried and steamed plaice fillet sandwich. They were quite similar, but honestly, both were absolutely delicious. The COZY's fried herring sandwich—a truly satisfying and flavor-packed combination. Must-visit if you are looking for well-executed, authentic Danish food in a charming harbor setting. We found our delicious local spot!

27/11/2025: The ordering’s so easy peasy! Wait time after ordering was perfect—no dragging. Tons of dish options, and the kids went crazy for ’em. We had an absolute blast that night!

13/11/2025: Not sure about anything. We got "All You Can Eat" and ordered over 2 rounds. The second round took 30 minutes, so I had to ask the waiter if the order went through. 3 minutes later she came with half the order. We weren't the only disappointed customers that day. Another table experienced the same problem as us, and also went up and asked for their order after a long wait... A Take Away customer only got a small part of his large order and had to wait for the rest. Chaos evening. The food was generally good, but maybe made quickly, as some of the fish on my nigiri was almost freezer cold. It's usually good at Izumi Frederiksberg, so I'm very disappointed with Izumi Charlottenlund.

15/04/2026: We had the rødspætte fillet with persille sauce and the tuna steak Both were very decent and i would definitely recommend. Staff was great and spoke both danish and german. All though the food case Quick I would recomend reserving a table
