12/11/2025: Great restaurant that really stands out from the other smokehouses on the island. We were there one evening during the autumn holidays and had a buffet, which had a large selection. Not everything tasted equally good, for example the shrimp which is also mentioned in other posts.

05/10/2025: Super delicious fish tapas and sweet and friendly service. The only downside was the beer with a porter, but that was your choice and tastes and preferences are different 😊

02/11/2025: Super friendly service. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The only small minus was that some of the rice was not well enough together to be picked up with chopsticks. It simply crumbled when I tried to pick it up with chopsticks. It was only on 2 of the pieces where there was a problem. The rest was really nice. So little room for improvement 😊

02/12/2025: Was up and got a cake table. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional. Nothing was freshly baked, buns were hard and dry, and so were the sliced ​​cakes.. and very tasteless. Layer cakes were very wet, and looked downright disgusting when you put the spoon in the bowl.

30/10/2025: A sudden downpour forced us into this restaurant, as the reviews are mixed. We can't understand why, though. We had a delicious meal and the drink recommendation was excellent. Of course, the restaurant is on the pricier side, but quality comes at a price. We were very satisfied and had a lovely evening – despite the thunderstorm.

06/10/2025: Very pleasant restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor. The dishes were excellent, especially the beef with mushrooms. The service was excellent, there are small blankets to warm up and a heater. I recommend it 100%!

22/09/2025: Had a classic "Rödspätta with pommes". I must say that the french fries was the best I have ever had. Really something special worth a visit. My friend had the avocada smörrebröd and also liked it a lot. Go here and at least try the french fries!

15/09/2025: Yes, like so many guests, we can only agree with this recommendation, because everything here just fits together. We made a dinner reservation at 5:30 p.m. and were the only guests for half an hour—it just depends on the weather and the season. The food fully deserves its 5 stars. What did surprise us, however, was the fact that we paid 310 crowns for two Aperol Spritzes. When we looked at the bill, we discovered the reason. Our favorite drink was mixed with champagne. Unfortunately, we call that adulteration at the highest level, and it should be avoided because the flavor is completely lost with 30% ice cubes.

13/08/2025: Wonderful old school hotel and restaurant, with beautiful interior, straight out of a time long gone. The quality of the food was exquisite, the service staff a bit overwhelmed by the many customers outside while we were left alone inside. No big deal, the inside was the place to be here anyway and much nicer than the garden seating, at least in my opinion. Prices are … well, very danish … but we were quite happy with our experience.

15/12/2025: Cozy atmosphere with fantastic open sandwiches. Roast pork is irresistible, beer from the tap is perfect. Classic Danish eatery!

12/12/2025: Today's sandwich was a pork roast sandwich. Dry and boring bread. I've never had such a dry pork roast before. The skins weren't crispy either, but completely soft.

08/11/2025: Today, Resturant Luna at the harbor in Lemvig should have reviewed their burger. Arrived at about 1:00 PM and was immediately shown nice seats with a great view of the fjord, when the rest of the party had arrived, the staff was very attentive and ordered food for 5 people at exactly 1:23 PM. The food was served together and hot at exactly 1:42 PM. First impression is that the burger looks very appetizing and delicious and radiates fresh ingredients. The bun is a delicious brioche bun at the better end that tastes great, both the bottom bun and the top bun are smeared with some mayo that doesn't hurt. Inside the burger there are home-pickled sour red onions and they taste really good and are very sour. In addition, there are some home-pickled cucumbers that taste great with the red onions. In addition, we find fresh tomato and some baby lettuce. Inside the burger there is some homemade tomato chutney that may / may not do anything good for the burger, but it is distinctive. I think the steak is 120-140 grams and the meat tastes good and is of good quality. When we ordered I asked the waiter how the steak was cooked and I was told it was pink/medium “super that’s how it should be I thought” unfortunately the steak was cooked through, not as well done as a shoe sole, but still cooked through. So it was sad. A nice size rustic fries were served and they were superb, deep fried perfectly so hard on the outside and mushy on the inside, a homemade aioli was served with it which was a bit neutral, it could have been stronger, but rather hurt someone. When you call yourself a restaurant I also expect the staff to come and ask if the food is satisfactory, but this did not happen. Gave this dish DKK 179.- for lunch, which is plenty of it, good ingredients and a beautiful view. You get 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks for the food

21/08/2025: I have previously visited Fænøsund for evening events and have always had good experiences – both with the food and the professional service. Therefore, I had a clear expectation that the lunch would live up to the same level. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We had booked a table, and when we arrived, we asked ourselves if we could sit outside because the weather was nice. Fortunately, we could, and we found a seat. Shortly after, a young employee came with the menus, but after that not much happened. After waiting for over 25 minutes, I went up to the restaurant myself to order, otherwise it would have taken even longer. The drinks came after about 10 minutes, which was acceptable, but the process was far too slow when there are just two people with a simple order. The food – open sandwiches – tasted fine, and the quality is absolutely fine. But the portions were WAY too small for the price. Or rather: the bread was big enough, and there were plenty of garnishes, but almost no real filling. The veal tartare was minimal and almost lost under the garnish, and the same was true for the herring and salmon. At 110 kr. a piece, you expect a decent piece of smørrebrød with substance – here it felt like you were paying for a lot of garnish on a large piece of bread. After the meal, it took an unreasonably long time before we could order coffee. Finally, we gave up and went up to pay ourselves. Here the young employee in the kitchen stood and ate. She just handed over the card machine without a word, without asking about the experience or giving the impression of professional service. All in all, we ended up spending almost two hours getting two pieces of smørrebrød and a cup of coffee – and that in a restaurant that is otherwise known for a higher standard. Fænøsund has a fantastic location, and I still want to come back for an evening event where both the food and service have been really good. But the lunch experience was so poor that I don’t want to repeat it. If the lunch concept is to work, you should either raise the level significantly or adjust the price to match the restaurant's otherwise good reputation.

19/07/2025: Really delicious restaurant with a wildly beautiful view. The food comes quickly or as needed (if you want this) so the service is top notch. They explain what you are eating and the food is very particular. I got a 4 course meal to taste as much as possible, but I am surprised that this year there was veal on the menu and not just fish. Otherwise I remember the restaurant as a purely fish restaurant. If there are many guests, the noise can unfortunately be a bit loud and seem a bit overwhelming to some. A nice little detail is that you can thank the chef (if you want) for well-prepared gourmet food, as he himself comes down to the table..

11/10/2025: Friendly service, but the food was nothing special. We got schnitzel and fish n chips. Schnitzel was wet with grease and not crispy. French fries were the usual kind you get at a grill bar. There was only one (not very large) piece of fish for fish n chips. The peas were a bit overcooked. For the food we ended up with 280kr and we weren't very full. We won't be back👎🏻

19/08/2024: A fairly anonymous brick building with a faded sign, but the impression is deceptive. A rustic terrace overlooking the harbor, chairs without cushions. There's no Danish draft beer. An excellent buffet, including many fish delicacies, includes 7-8 varieties of pickled herring, salmon, and fish cakes. Delicious: the pâtés with asparagus and chicken. A selection of cheeses. We ate here on a Monday shortly after 12:00; the buffet was freshly prepared. Clean restrooms. Price for two people with one beer and two coffees, including tip, was 640 DKK.
