21/09/2025: We had reserved for two people many weeks in advance and yet were given the only table in the middle of the room. When we inquired, we were told there was only one alternative between two very noisy groups, so we opted for the original seat. This wasn't pleasant, however, as staff and guests constantly walked past us. It was truly uncomfortable and a table you shouldn't offer to any guest, especially not in a restaurant of this caliber. Furthermore, several windows were open, which caused a strong draft at times. Only after we pointed out that we already had a cold were they closed slightly. The meal, while ambitious, left much to be desired in its execution. The meat in the main course was only lukewarm, as was the sauce. It was also noticeable that at several tables, the meat remained on the plates. Given the restaurant's Michelin star, our expectations were high—and our disappointment all the greater. The attentive service of the young staff, the spectacular view of the North Sea, and the concept of working with regional ingredients and reinterpreting North Jutland cuisine deserve special mention. However, these pleasant aspects couldn't save the overall impression of the evening. The three-course menu at 650 DKK per person is not justified in our experience. The price-performance ratio is disproportionate. Although we regularly visit Lønstrup, we won't be visiting Villa Vest again.

09/09/2025: Villa Vest is fantastic. Unique and cozy restaurant on top of the dune with a direct view of the beautiful North Sea. We had the big lunch which gave us a culinary tour that cannot be described as anything other than fantastic. Very friendly staff. We left there well-fed. The lunch took 2.5 hours, which fit perfectly with the table reservation.

05/08/2025: Delicious food, with lots of flavor and local ingredients. Lovely service with a focus on the guests and a cozy atmosphere. The hosts are extremely attentive and provide the best service. Definitely worth a visit.

05/08/2025: The restaurant lives up to the reviews. Delicious food, great atmosphere and nice staff. I love that there are different glasses and plates and that everything doesn't have to be so correct. And yet it is very proper and the food is top notch.

03/10/2025: We sat at the bar a bit cramped. Paid around 900 DKK per person for just 6 oysters, 2 small starters, and a glass of rosé per person. Food tasted fine and service was good, but nothing came close to justifying that price. Copenhagen has far better options for seafood at this spend. Be careful of the 4.5% abusive markup on foreign credit cards.

03/10/2025: Only a year ago (I think a bit more) I wrote the below review. It was a stupendous experience we cane back to Copenhagen specifically to repeat. Unfortunately we were entirely disappointed! Well, the sauces were still good, but the best thing we tasted was an accompanying salad. We had three different fish and they were all bland. Even the wine was unenthralling. It was still expensive, and fuller than ever. Maybe they cater now to people who aren’t as excited by fishy fish? Me: 2 or 3? Partner: 3 me: [price] partner: 2 Last year’s review: 5 We had just the best experience here. Obviously not vegetarian or anything, but if you do cheat and eat fish / sea food it is quite the place. Great bottle of wine too. Not cheap of course.

09/09/2025: Great location, very friendly service, but unfortunately the food was a rip-off. The fish and chips were a kid's portion and priced at a premium. A real shame.

09/09/2025: Large and nice restaurant down by the harbor, we ordered veal steak 🥩 with red wine sauce potatoes and salad which was fried and prepared as it should be. Fish and chips were homemade with fresh cod but a little too greasy in the fryer for me and the fries were large and fried too little for my taste. Service and management were absolutely faultless, all in all a reasonable visit worth.

15/08/2025: Izumi Charlottenlund – 4 af 5 stjerner Vi valgte at købe en række take a Way bokse med sushi fra Izumi i Charlottenlund – og overordnet set var det en god oplevelse, men med plads til klare forbedringer. Sushien var varierende i kvalitet, men især boksen med rejer, der stadig var lune, gjorde virkelig indtryk. De skilte sig positivt ud og havde et frisk og smagfuldt udtryk. De var crispy og smagte godt. En klar skuffelse var dog tangsalaten, som desværre var alt for våd. Den virkede forhastet i tilberedningen og dryppede af væde, hvilket var lige ved at koste en stjerne . Resten af sushierne smagte godt, og man får bestemt indtrykket af, at Izumi arbejder seriøst med både smag og råvarer. De halter lidt efter på æstetikken, det indhenter de på prisen Der er ingen tvivl om, at Sticks’n’Sushi skal holde øje med Izumi – både når det gælder pris og kvalitet. 25/09/2025: Delicious food at a beautiful spot in the middle of the harbor. Even when it's busy ordering is simple and the food is there fast. Been there twice during our vacation and both times it was great! Recommended!

22/09/2025: An excellent food experience, the waiter seemed a little angry, there were only four of us together ⭐️

21/09/2025: We went to dinner on Friday and had a delicious dinner. I had lobster and my husband had ravioli. But something unexpected happened: the ceiling started to open right next to where we were sitting. Luckily, it wasn't where we were sitting because it could have killed whoever was at that table. The ceiling simply cracked and two large pieces fell onto the table. Other than that, the food was delicious. I recommend the chef, who is an Asian guy, and the cuisine is divine.

15/09/2025: Yes, like so many guests, we can only agree with this recommendation, because everything here just fits together. We made a dinner reservation at 5:30 p.m. and were the only guests for half an hour—it just depends on the weather and the season. The food fully deserves its 5 stars. What did surprise us, however, was the fact that we paid 310 crowns for two Aperol Spritzes. When we looked at the bill, we discovered the reason. Our favorite drink was mixed with champagne. Unfortunately, we call that adulteration at the highest level, and it should be avoided because the flavor is completely lost with 30% ice cubes.

13/08/2025: Wonderful old school hotel and restaurant, with beautiful interior, straight out of a time long gone. The quality of the food was exquisite, the service staff a bit overwhelmed by the many customers outside while we were left alone inside. No big deal, the inside was the place to be here anyway and much nicer than the garden seating, at least in my opinion. Prices are … well, very danish … but we were quite happy with our experience.

13/09/2025: After reading the reviews we were unsure if we should find another place. But the food was really good - nothing to complain about! Super good wiener schnitzel and steak tasted really good too.
