I was looking for kebab and saw a dish called Matador on the menu—even though I actually wanted to order the doner kebab (No. 46). It was truly delicious! The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are a very friendly, welcoming family.
A place I enjoy visiting every time I visit Denmark. Highly recommended! 😍😋👌

13/11/2025: We booked dinner at a brasserie on the campsite in Henne... impressive ambiance, pleasantly warm in November, very friendly staff, five main courses to choose from, we ordered three. All three were fantastic, impressive food, the best we've had in 30 years in Denmark. The home-brewed beers were a delight, served on three boards with three different varieties each. Excellent! It was truly a culinary treat! We'll definitely be back!

20/09/2025: We visited Cakenhagen, Tivoli Gardens on 19 Sep 2025 after dinner and were lucky to be served by Maryanne. She went above and beyond to get us a table for three, set up a cozy indoor spot, and made my husband’s birthday extra special by bringing the cake I had reserved with a candle. Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made our evening truly memorable. Highly recommend!❤️

The service is great.
The food is delicious.
It's best to make a reservation before you go so you don't get late.
25/09/2025: The place is very cute and well-kept. The food and drinks are quality. The fresh flowers on the table are a very welcome touch, but be careful of the midges, especially during this time of year. Be careful to protect your drinks! Prices are average. The fries are particularly tasty; I recommend trying them! Great place for a quick aperitif or even a more formal coffee!

The mini golf course is of course the main attraction, but there is also a good range of activities besides that.

27/08/2025: This is a lovely café with a cute garden area and chic interieur. The coffee is nice, the Hering open top sandwich is delicious, i also had a fresh ginger shot and the almond and raspberry cake. All was very fresh and absolutely delightful.
This is a must try location in Gilleleje.
The only aspect i would note, is that the service is a bit slow.

— consistent, reliable and efficient smorrebrod. if you just want to grab a quick bite, you can get readymade smorrebrod here at the hallernes smorrebrod located inside the supermarket. the flavors were okay + was quite light but cold, as it was refrigerated.

09/11/2025: We absolutely loved being able to try the typical danish open sandwiches and we weren’t disappointed! We had three between us - the chicken and mushroom salad, which was our favourite, the salmon salad and the danish meatball (which tasted like stuffing). All very yummy and clearly use very fresh ingredients! Highly recommend!
