31/07/2025: Super sweet and very friendly clerk. Delicious, not dry salmon sandwich and a coffee machine that can do almost everything😄 Really nice and clean store.

17/10/2025: 08.10.2025 My girlfriend and me who come from England were stopping overnight in Tønder at the nearby Motel near the main train station for 1 night having travelled from Hamburg, and we were heading to Copenhagen the next day. So I had already reserved a table for dinner at this wonderful little boutique hotel. When we arrived the 3 young ladies working kindly welcomed us and all spoke very good English as we cannot speak Danish. We were early for the booking and they did offer for us to be seated immediately which was nice of them, but we insisted on having a pre-drink in their nice bar. I had a Steak Tartare while my girlfriend ate a Pork Cheek dish. Then for dessert I chose the Lemon Mousse while the Cheese & Biscuit platter was also chosen. All dishes were beautifully presented on their plates and were very flavoursome. Yes this may cost a little more than most average priced restaurants, but we got good quality for our money at least. Which is why I highly recommend this place for all kinds of guests, even travelling tourists like we were on the above date when we actually visited. And if I had more money on me I probably could've chosen to stay here, but the Motel suited me on this occasion because of our needs to use the local trains for our travels.

29/09/2025: We are so happy to visit Hostrups Hotel that we have been here in all seasons and enjoyed it every time. A very welcoming welcome means a lot to us - we get it. We have stayed in rooms in the main building and side wing and have been extremely satisfied: quiet and comfortable decor and really good beds. The food is always innovative, looks inviting and is tasty. A walk around the streets of Tønder and a visit to a nearby small German town are part of our stay, after which it is nice to come 'home' to Hostrups Hotel and rest our legs before dinner and a drink.

01/09/2025: Lovely cafe located in the most beautiful surroundings by Jels lake. Suitable for both a la carte and parties. The staff are young people at STU who are passionate about their work.

25/08/2025: Lovely place in Southern Jutland where you can row a canoe from one lake to a larger lake.🚣‍♂️🚣‍♀️ there is also a bathing jetty/slide inside Jels.🏊‍♂️

21/08/2025: A wonderfully well-maintained hotel, where you can feel the owners' passion and love for their work. Niels and Connie Olesen make every guest feel welcomed and pampered. The breakfast is among the best we've ever had, both for the quality of the ingredients and the wide variety offered. The rooms are new, modern, and impeccably clean. A truly recommended property. 21/09/2025: A classic neighborhood bodega, as is common in Denmark. You'll meet the locals there after work. Food isn't a strong suit at these bodegas, but it always depends on the owner.

29/10/2025: I have been to this restaurant several times, and it is always a pleasure to come back. A really cozy and informal restaurant, where the atmosphere is relaxed, and you quickly feel welcome. You sit at long tables, which gives a cozy and social atmosphere, and the concept of the dish of the day works really well. The food is well-cooked, homemade and served at a really fair price - especially when you consider the location. A place that does not try to be fancy, but focuses on good food, a cozy atmosphere and presence. Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or colleagues, where you just want to enjoy a good meal without too much formal fuss.
