13/09/2025: We had high expectations of the restaurant in terms of the quality of the food, but were unfortunately disappointed. The quality and price do not match the food, unfortunately. The fish soup was completely without herbs, but filled with lots of potatoes. Served in a beautiful bowl, but it is not edible. Plaice fillets small and unimpressive / asparagus potatoes with peel and sauce poured over, instead of serving it on the side. It just did not look delicious. Nice wine and good guidance - sweet service-oriented waiter.

04/09/2025: Very unimpressive and lukewarm experience. A young rooster breast of just over 100 grams in size, a white wine sauce that was not enough for both potatoes and young rooster, 4 very small asparagus potatoes and a very modest portion of corn and corn puree. You simply can't charge 285 kroner for that, not even in these times. The portion size would be okay as a main course in a 5-course menu. If you are going to serve such a modest amount of food, it should be an experience in terms of taste. It certainly wasn't. The white wine sauce hadn't reduced long enough, so it was on the verge of not tasting anything. In addition, the potatoes were not freshly cooked, which the core temperature revealed. Actually, I would have preferred to have a dialogue with the restaurateur about it, but despite the fact that he seemed very nice, he paid very little attention to us and didn't ask once if the food was good, as he was busy entertaining the other guests whom he obviously knew. If the food had cost a little more realistically for what you get, I would have not cared and just thought “oh well”, but in this case the price and quality are so far apart that I feel compelled to warn others.

06/11/2025: I have now experienced twice in a row that my order is not respected. I have been clear and precise, but it is still ignored. Most recently I ordered a durum with hummus and no chili. The one I got had almost no hummus and was full of chili. I like chili, but that day I was just not in the mood for something spicy. The time before I ordered a durum without onion and without chili, with extra dressing. There was no onion here, but again chili had been added, and it ruined the whole meal. I am writing this because it seems as if customers' orders are not being listened to. It is frustrating to pay for something you do not get. I hope you take this seriously and tighten things up.

23/09/2025: Party of 9 on a Tuesday. I was looking for something vegan and chose a ravioli with mushrooms and no cheese. Unfortunately, I was served one with cheese without mushrooms. The serving resulted in a bit of friction for some guests.

20/09/2025: The owner of the place was extremely rude and non-polite who showed angry face to a two year old kid. No wonder the food was so mediocre which reflected the mindset of the owner and the serving staff. Please don't go to this restaurant if you go with your kids since there are chances that your kids might get treated bad. The owner of the restaurant needs a psychological care to know how to behave with small children. The only restaurant in the world that charges 30 DKK for extra plates to share some food with the kids.

22/12/2025: Cozy atmosphere, but wait time and mixed food Visited Hansens Café in Hornbæk for a classic lunch. Here is my honest experience: The good: * The atmosphere: It is incredibly cozy with the open fireplace, which really creates an authentic and warm atmosphere - perfect for a cold day. * The staff: The service was really sweet, smiling and very friendly. You feel welcome from the start. The less good: * The wait: Unfortunately, it took quite a long time for the food to land on the table. You shouldn't be too hungry when you sit down. * The food: It was very traditional, which is fine, but the quality itself was a mixed pleasure. Some elements played, while others felt a bit mediocre. Conclusion: A nice place if you prioritize coziness and good service, but the kitchen lacks that last bit to reach the top. Come here for the fireplace and the good vibe, but bring your patience from home.

16/12/2025: Ate fried pork with parsley sauce (persillesmovs) The fried pork was completely crunchy dry but the rest was delicious. Can't recommend.
