13/09/2026: With my wife, during our stay in Copenhagen, we visited the famous grandi magazini Illum in the historic center and all the last piano on the roof, we found this bar torrefazione di coffee with a splendid view of the rooftops of Copenhagen and the shopping street. They have the specialty of terza onda coffee prepared with selected beans and roasted locally (through micro-torrefazione Kontra Coffee), as well as filter coffee, espresso, flat white, pasticceria and yogurt with homemade granola. We sat down at an internal table and ordered 1 cinnamon stick or the famous girelle or chiocciole di pasta lievitata dolci, typical of Denmark and the Nordic countries, flavored with cinnamon, burro and sugar, then 1 green tea, 1 caffè espresso tutto buono squisito abbondante. The staff were welcoming, smiling, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and the service was attentive and fast—although the prices were high. On offer are coffee specialties from the "Third Wave" movement made from selected, locally roasted beans (from the Kontra Coffee micro roaster) as well as filter coffee, espresso, flat white, pastries and yogurt with homemade granola. We took a seat at a table in the interior and ordered a "Kanelsnegl" - the famous, typical for Denmark and the Nordic countries, sweet yeast snails with cinnamon, butter and sugar -, along with a green tea and an espresso; everything was delicious and plentiful. The staff was friendly, competent, accommodating and helpful, the service attentive and fast - however, the prices are high.

29/08/2026: One of the cafes I visited while strolling around the city center of Copenhagen. It is strategically located in Illum, the famous department store in Copenhagen. I did enjoy the hot chocolate and the bread and pastries they have. I have my croissant and the bread with cheese and salmon on it. Some of the pastries are so delicious, I also have them for take aways. In general, the cafe is accessible ♿️✅ as the entrance and the rest of the department store are accessible as well. It's just that the place is too crowded and I guess it's due to its strategic location.

15/02/2026: We ordered sushi (menu 2 – 48 pieces) but they only gave us 36 pieces and they were completely different rolls. They tasted terrible and some of them contained chicken. I do not recommend this place at all, everything was horrible, the evening was completely ruined.

The charming and cozy atmosphere is enchanting from the moment you walk in – the perfect place to take a short break from the stress of driving. The baked goods were absolutely divine and incredibly delicious, and the coffee was first-class, aromatic, and the perfect pick-me-up for the rest of our journey. The wonderful team deserves special mention: The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, brightening our day with their radiant smiles. A fantastic stop that kicked off our vacation perfectly. We'll definitely be back! 🌟☕🚌

08/07/2026: Everyone in Middelfart will be pleasantly surprised at Lagkagehuset. A wonderful atmosphere is complemented by specialty coffees and accompanying pastries. The breakfast rolls, croissants, and delicious breads are, of course, absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended! ☝️

26/06/2026: Food was super - well made, nicely presented, tasty. Just as French and brasserie-ish as expected The service was very friendly, but we somehow kept getting forgotten. Which was shame as otherwise it would have been a solid four. As it were there was a little bit of a disconnect to the price level. Did I enjoy it - yes - excellent company and good food. Would I come back - oddly yes.

23/08/2026: 0 stars from here. We ordered 10 pieces of smørrebrød - high-layered - total DKK 350,- We got 6!! Pieces with 2 small pieces of old rib roast and roasted onions! And 4 pieces with eggs that were boiled completely blue around the edges and with the smallest and most watery shrimp I have ever tasted. So 2 different kinds - just inedible. We came from Jutland and had to bring them into town….. horrible. Will NEVER go there again.
