06/03/2026: Always really nice and welcoming. Quite ok pizza, but you can't sit inside

26/12/2025: I used to go all the way from the center of Copenhagen there, about three times a week. But this was the last time. Respect: 0. Service compared to the price: 0. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

20/12/2025: Nice hotel. Nice but small rooms. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff.

13/12/2025: There is apparently no lower limit to how lousy food you can serve at a Christmas lunch/buffet. Rye bread hard as a rock. Pale bread that falls apart. Slimy salmon, strange fish fillet anything but crispy, duck with soft skin, soft medister sausages, not shiny brown potatoes, meatballs that fall apart. The chef must have an aversion to anything crispy.

24/09/2025: Really nice place on a Wednesday afternoon just in the sun and a break from everyday life - coconut macaroon tasted amazing - caffe latte could definitely do with an upgrade - couldn't drink it. But otherwise really nice place☕️🌞 But

12/08/2025: It's a cozy little café in old Lyngby. Limited outdoor seating. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings and occasional author/book events. Closes early (6pm) if there are no events.

22/09/2025: Espresso Martini in a cup, flat beer and fish drowning in grease - those were the overall memories of dinner at Kongernes. Not to mention the feeling of being an inconvenience to the staff. The first warning should have been the unenthusiastic greeting despite having booked a table. We ended up deciding to sit outside to enjoy the last of the summer weather and managed to find cushions and blankets ourselves. The second red flag should have been the drinks. Two beers, of which the Carlsberg was as flat as a pancake, a watery Aperol Sprits - and an Espresso Martini in a small coffee cup. No foam. When we questioned it, we were first offered to have it transferred to a cocktail glass, and then told that they did not really have the ingredients for it. As the most expensive cocktail on the menu, this seemed a slightly surreal experience. We opted for another drink. After waiting for over 35 minutes to order food, we should probably have upped and left. However, we persevered, went inside, got a waiter to come outside and take the order. We made the mistake of asking what the fish of the day was and got the response "It is a white fish". The waiter left and came back, and at this point it was apparently necessary to have the chef/owner standing in the background to oversee the order taking. The oversight apparently did not extend to asking how any of the three steaks were to be cooked ... Now we settled down to wait for the food. And wait. And wait. We decided to move inside. Drinks were almost gone, but at no point did any of the two waiters come over and ask if we wanted anything else. If anything, we felt like an inconvenience and interruption to the family party that one of the waiters seemed to be a part of. The food arrived. The fillet was fine. Both entrecotes were far too red for the liking of the diners. There was some confusion about the sauces and the plates were cold. But the plaice was a disaster. Covered in rye bread crumbs and soaking in some grease it was close to inedible. At this point we just wanted to get out. When it came to pay the bill, we had been charged 110 kr for the espresso martini. I had to ask to have it changed to the replaced drink. No word of apology. I will always try and support local business and give people the benefit of the doubt. But apparently this is not the first time people are commenting on the poor service, so it cannot come as a chock to them. I, for one, cannot remember when we as a family last had such an appalling experience.

15/08/2025: We ordered two starters and a main course for dinner in the middle of the high season. In general, there was no match between the quality of the food and the price. The lobster bisque was tasteless and just boring. The tenderloin was the same and seemed almost unseasoned. The vegan dish was falafel and salad and unfortunately also incredibly boring and tasted of nothing but oil. Not even half the price seemed reasonable for that food. The staff was friendly, though. Unfortunately, this will not be a second visit for us.

29/10/2025: It's a sad and run down place with mostly mentally absent staff.

25/09/2025: First stop after leaving the ferry and ritual whilst in DK - Ristet Hotdog! Strike! To my point of view and taste very good. Also the French Fries! The service was very nice and super friendly! A bit of a surprise to me was the price for ice cream! 40 Kroner (€5,20) for a scoop has a tendency of street robbery, even for a more touristic place! But again, go there for the hotdogs!

17/10/2025: Best halal chicken and kebab option in skive. Taste was awesome and serving size is always more than enough for one person and prices are very reasonable.

05/07/2025: Cada visita aquí es un placer. La comida siempre es increíble y el servicio es excepcional. El restaurante puede ser pequeño, pero el ambiente acogedor y el personal amable lo hacen parecer mucho más grande. ¡Sin duda uno de nuestros lugares favoritos!

10/05/2025: Lovely vibe. It feels like an open living room in the city. I’m not a big wine guy myself and still enjoyed myself. Theres a pool table in the back and other games to play too. Good terrace too. Service was friendly.

17/12/2025: Ate in the Restaurant, did not stay at the Hotel. Got Tøndergryde, which was supposed to have sausages in it, we both got 2, 2 small pieces of sausages, lacked a little tomato sauce, was a little dry, but there were a lot of beetroot, which was a little hard to see, as we were almost sitting in the dark, had the lowest LED lamp we had ever seen. The food was not very hot, so when we got home, we both had an upset stomach and rumbling. Too bad because we paid some money for it.

13/12/2025: I don’t understand the negative reviews - ordering online at table is super-easy, and the food is excellent. Comfortable seating, great atmosphere. I will definitely return!

09/10/2025: It was Sunday, October 5th, it was around 6pm - and I asked one of the Arab women about perfume. She pretended not to see or hear me. Very rude behavior. Is she at work or on vacation?! not very intelligent girl I felt disrespected by this Arab woman!! A young, slim girl with long hair. Has anyone had a similar experience with her lack of professional service?
