02/11/2025: I have always had a special relationship with Møf, which used to radiate passion and presence. After moving to the new premises, everything is nice and professional, but some of the soul and intimacy have unfortunately been lost. The food is still well-prepared and technically impressive, but the spark is missing a bit. On the other hand, Kristian deserves great praise for his calm and discreet service, which once made the place very special.

07/01/2026: Tasty, fresh and a taste experience that makes the palate sing. The owner is good at guiding since I have never tried Vietnamese before. I can definitely recommend their homemade lemonade and chili.

07/11/2025: Fantastic!!! We had the best 10th birthday party in the world for my daughter 🥳❤️ Large party room, own toilet, sofa corner and an extra room with sofas and tables, where the kids played, drew and played games in peace from the adults 😅. In addition, there was a private terrace with sofa and seating areas, a view of the landscape, the fjord and the kids playing outside. Fantastic outdoor areas with views, grass, forest, animals, monuments and the rustle of history 🥰 The most delicious food that received the highest praise from all the guests, who are otherwise well-adjusted and used to good food. The food was tasty, looked inviting for children and adults, and there was plenty of it. Can hardly praise the staff enough. They were all SO sweet 😍 When booking, Niels had it in mind that they were the 10-year-old birthday boy who should have his dreams fulfilled, and he knew exactly what was needed. A buffet for children and adults with all their favorite dishes. The girls serving were simply so sweet and attentive. If we needed scissors or a hand, they were there. There are not enough stars for this amazing place 😘👌⭐️

18/10/2025: The place is well visited ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First time at an Italian restaurant – and definitely not the last! 🇮🇹 We had both lamb and wild boar, and wait a minute… it tasted excellent! The lamb was tender and juicy, the wild boar had a nice deep flavor, and the sauces were just right in the cupboard. The garnish wasn’t exactly my taste, but never mind – the meat and sauce more than made up for it. The dessert, “Tortino di Mele”, came in like a little bird’s nest with ice cream and apples – tasted great and rounded off the evening in just the right way. 🍏🍨 The waiters were smiling, fast and super friendly – ​​you felt really welcome. The food came quickly, the atmosphere was cozy, and the place was well visited (which says it all). All in all: a really good experience – we will definitely be back! 🙌

28/12/2025: My son (14), husband, and daughter (1.5 years old) ate here a few months ago, and the food was absolutely amazing. I’ve been craving it ever since! The portions were very generous, and the jerk chicken was incredibly moist and full of flavor. I’m from Jamaica, and I fully approve of this restaurant’s twist on jerk chicken! On top of the great food, I truly appreciated the owner’s warmth. She took the time to make sure our little Kira was comfortable and well looked after, which meant a lot to us. We did realize a bit too late that the restaurant isn’t particularly toddler-friendly. However, our daughter was on her best behavior that day, and the owner was so kind and accommodating, making sure Kira was comfortable throughout our visit. I will definitely be visiting again the next time my husband and I are out for a date night. All the best, Kimberly

21/12/2025: For a homesick island gal like myself, visiting the Caribbean Housewife was like stepping into a little pocket of home in the middle of a foreign land. From the moment we entered, Jamain made us feel warm & welcome, and the food blew us away with the flavour I'd been missing since leaving home. Jamain was polite, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the various dishes and drinks we indulged in. It also felt great to converse with someone with a similar background - almost like talking to a longtime friend. This is a hidden gem in CPH, and one that you shouldn't miss out on if you have the chance!

11/01/2026: It's the sourest burger I've ever tasted. The vinegar taste overwhelms any taste of meat. The burger was quite wet from a tomato sauce which, together with the pickles, overwhelms all other flavors. It seems they've gone a bit too fast with training the staff, I highly doubt the burgers we got are the same quality as the ones that have won awards. The staff also had no soap left at their sinks last night, which is quite disturbing. (I asked to be allowed to wash my hands) A really disappointing experience.

10/01/2026: Easily the best burger I have had in Copenhagen. So fresh and tasty. Highly recommend. ( also remember to ask for special options that they may have)

02/12/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic service! I ordered takeaway for 6pm and had written that we would not eat until 6.45pm. Flammen called at 5.30pm – not to change anything, but to make sure the food was hot and fresh when we were supposed to eat. They offered to wait to pack the food until I arrived, so the quality was top notch. It is rare to encounter such sincere and thoughtful service. The food was hot, delicious and beautifully packaged – and the experience was top notch. Huge praise from here. I will definitely be back!

24/11/2025: First time tried and very sadisfied with choice of food that even my ex- wife will be quiet... ;) As single person welcoming was nice and explanation of services and how to manage food choice ect. Was great. Will come again next week. For January 2026 they also give you a card for discount.

17/12/2025: Scam and arrogance. Booked a table at this restaurant, but then an error message appeared on the website, which resulted in three bookings being registered suddenly. Only two of them were confirmed, and had to cancel anyway, so I cancelled both of them. But since there was one last one left, you charged me 1,200 DKK for a no show fee. This was impossible for me to know, and they refuse to pay this back. So a mistake on their part, they refuse to take responsibility for, and instead drain their customers in this way from their bank cards. Met with no understanding and only arrogance. We are shocked, and will never return. Have heard of similar practices, but would not have thought that they also run such scams. Stay away! And do not give them your card details.

14/12/2025: Ok food, nice staff but very cramped, noisy and claustrophobic - and a bit expensive compared to rye bread dishes

13/08/2025: We love this restaurant. Whenever we are in Copenhagen we come here. This week it was just my wife and I (going with a group - especially first timers is also lot of fun) and as ever the food, the ambience and the staff were excellent. The food is impossibly complex and why it's so much fun hearing the staff explain the dishes. We typically have the wine pairing as they also do a nice job of matching the wine to the dishes. Coming from the US it's also fantastic to try wines that simply do not get over there.

12/08/2025: Spot on food, kind of spotty service. Not in a horrible way. Main server and another young server were excellent. Super nice and attentive. They had one other server who seemed new who was a bit confused. Good luck to him I’m sure he will get better but we were served the wrong item to the wrong person, taken away, then re-served it and then finally had that taken away again. Not horrible, just a bit funny. Anyway the food was excellent and inventive while also being accessible and delicious, and all in all we appreciated the service. It was a pleasant experience. Very laid back atmosphere.

17/01/2026: The crown jewel of Sydhavnen. Beer bar with a Berlin atmosphere, quality and pleasant service. This is characterized by the bartender pouring us samples without us asking before we order. Please consider some live music (not cover) if you can for the neighbors. And maybe move the large refrigerators with lights that are right when you enter. So people can sit in the bar area better. I’ll be back.

14/07/2025: I’m devastated by the news that Høvlen is no-more, and that it got bought up by investors from Reffen street food. This iconic place lasted 135 years. Thanks Iben for some real hygge. And of course not forget Buster 🐾. Hope to see Høvlen getting back to what it was, but for now, I’m scared it will turn into some juice-bar.
