08/12/2025: Extremely Disappointing and Disrespectful Experience — Borderline Racist Behavior I visited Pulp Bar at sankt Hans torv in Copenhagen for the second time with my sister. The first time, we had an odd encounter with a bartender who spoke Spanish/Portuguese and seemed to be monitoring our conversation. We brushed it off and returned because the cocktails themselves are good. Tonight, however, the experience crossed a very serious line. When we ordered our first round of tequila shots, another bartender served them properly: tequila in a glass, salt and lemon on a plate. Exactly what you expect when you are paying premium prices. Later, when we asked the Spanish-speaking bartender for another round, he served the salt directly on the dirty bar counter covered in drink marks rather than on a plate. When we questioned why we were being served like this, he had no explanation. What happened next was even worse: he placed a card and a small straw on the counter, mimicking the setup used for cocaine. We never asked for this, and it was not funny. It was degrading, inappropriate, and deeply disrespectful especially considering we are two Black women who simply came to enjoy a night out. This was dismissed as “a joke,” but discrimination often hides behind the word “joke.” We did not ask for that. We did not consent to that. We paid 800 DKK for our drinks and expected the same respect as every other customer. The contrast between how we were first served and how he chose to serve us raises serious concerns about bias, prejudice, and racially charged assumptions. What made him think we would find drug references acceptable? Or that we would be fine with salt poured directly on a surface instead of a plate? This experience was insulting, unprofessional, and left us feeling uncomfortable and singled out. I am sharing this so other Black customers and anyone who values respectful service know what kind of behavior can occur here. We deserve to feel safe and respected in the places we choose to spend our money. Tonight, Pulp Bar failed at that completely.

28/11/2025: Went here on a holiday with the mrs, was absolutely amazing, drinks were really nice, quirky and original and the staff were really helpful and friendly, would recommend!

27/11/2025: After passing by the door a few times, observing the guests leaving, we entered the venue. This bar, which used to be a bookstore in 1919 and is now artfully disguised as a library, has a hidden entrance. I tried the venue's signature cocktails and found them to be excellent. The staff also provide a gracious and professional service. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We also enjoyed the pleasant music of the '50s and '60s.

09/08/2025: Fuldstændig vidunderlig stemningfuld og smagsfuld rustik café som vi fandt i 2024 ved et tilfælde. Det blev til besøg hver aften i den uge vi var på Bornholm hvor vi nød skøn kaffe og G&T og ikke mindst den smagfulde indretning og stemning. Håber snart at gentage fornøjelsen

22/08/2025: I was initially impressed with how the food looked and it tasted okay, not something you'd necessarily remember but excellent. However, I'm not impressed when I find a large piece of plastic in my food that has sharp edges. I point it out and the only response from the staff was that they would point it out to the kitchen. I didn't get anything new. I lost my appetite quite a bit after that. I'm not impressed.

14/11/2025: Nice service, but the shooting star ... 🤔 The roast had been in the bath for too long and the green pea shoots should have been chilled yesterday. Plenty of shrimp. Rustic premises with a hand dryer in the toilet that doesn't dry very much... And then there's that. hygiene, probably the sliley is okay, but gloves from the production came in for checkout and cleaning. Not ok!

11/11/2025: They have delicious fresh fish here. We ate two fish fillets with fries on site. Very good value for money, drinks were nicely chilled. Friendly service. It was really good and we'll definitely be back soon. Food and drinks are also available to take away.

06/12/2025: Nice atmosphere, good portions and good at adapting the food for those with allergies or other dietary considerations.

06/12/2025: Unfortunately, our experience at this place was not pleasant. I will start with the fact that we were not served at the table we wanted, but that was nothing compared to what followed. Inside the plate that was brought to us, among some poor-quality fried food, there was a black object that we did not know what it was. We informed the waitress, but she did not say a single word. Literally, she did not say a single word. And of course, no action was taken by any manager of the establishment. In the end, beauty and a smile are not enough to provide proper service. So stay away from this place if you want to feel safer about your night out in Copenhagen. And in the end, all our clothes smelled of the kitchen.

18/11/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to the pork of choice at Båring Skov gl. Badehotel – and what an experience! 🌳✨ The staff were so nice that you almost wanted to adopt them 😄. The service was top notch, and the food… yes, it was so delicious that I'm still full for days afterwards 🐷🍴. If you can vote for pork, then Badehotellet gets my vote every time! 🗳️🥓 Thank you for an evening of both coziness, smiles and taste buds in ecstasy 🤩👏.

21/10/2025: Bought 2 croissants and a French bread. 111 kr. The croissants were really good, the bread was unfortunately soggy on the bottom, but still edible.

Great atmosphere, polite service, absolutely delicious food, as in really delicious and fantastic acoustics! 🫶 It means a lot that you can enjoy such delicious food and even be able to talk in such relaxing surroundings. Left full, satisfied and with a nice calm feeling. Ps, I have NEVER had such a good tiramisu before.. Try it!

06/12/2024: A very nice restaurant. Something different. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return. Reservations are required. The restaurant manager deserves special mention, with his extensive wine knowledge.

27/10/2024: Great food. The staff is very friendly and well-trained. The tables are lovingly set. The food is homemade. The bread, which is also homemade, is delicious. Advance reservations are recommended. It's always fully booked. That speaks for itself.
