20/09/2025: There is no food normally, but the Post Friends hold parties and at the summer party there was a whole roast suckling pig. They also hold bus tours.

16/07/2025: We were two couples. Pad Thai with beef for the men, and sweet and sour with chicken for the ladies. The Pad Thai was excellent and tasted excellent. The chicken was so dry that it was left on the plate for both of us. Therefore, a somewhat mixed experience. The prices are above average. The fact that we had a company of children next door who probably didn't have much experience with eating out among other people cannot be blamed on the restaurant, but it gave a bit of a weird atmosphere.

08/09/2025: I have never been to a “restaurant” where you have to come up to the counter and order your food. The restaurant is more like a canteen, with 4 sweet waiters who really want to serve customers at the table and take orders, but were prevented by the head waiter because it has to go through their computer…. You are even asked to “when you know what you want, just come in and order” The food is mediocre, but a big disappointment for the price. Super bad service, but not the waiters’ fault.👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

14/08/2025: In the small ice cream parlor on the corner they advertise Vebbestrup ice cream on several signs, but it's only the scoop ice cream, not soft ice cream (and you can't tell from the signs!). As soon as you hold it in your hand, you have no doubt that it's something completely different, at least not from Vebbestrup, possibly not even cream ice cream, it melts into a thin liquid as soon as you hold it in your hand and tastes almost like nothing, just frozen water with sugar and maybe milk powder. The choco sprinkles are a strange brown crunchy sugar mixture, almost like blended ymer sprinkles with sugar, and there were remnants of some of the other types of sprinkles in it. Really bad ice cream, which I wouldn't even eat if it was free. The bread for the French hot dog was dry and rubbery, and apparently too small to fit the sausage in it, so it was served in two pieces. All in all, a disappointing experience. Haven't tried the restaurant's food, but don't see much reason to after this.

09/09/2025: Botan used to be a good place, but wait, how has the quality and service dropped in the last few years, so much so that I don't go there anymore. I've been a regular customer at Botan for the last 12 years, I don't know how many thousands of kroner I've thrown at that pizzeria, I've never complained, not even when the pizza was delivered incorrectly, I just took it as a new experience. But after the new place opened, the quality has dropped so drastically, even a margarita is dripping with oil from the far too cheap cheese, not to mention if you also have to have bad pepperoni or frozen kebab on it, all of this could possibly be forgiven, if it wasn't for the one time I complained, the owner initially denied that there was anything wrong with the pizza, instead he blames me because I hadn't asked them not to place the ordered salad pizza directly on top of the oven, with 2 other pizzas on top, or that I hadn't said that I wanted that plastic dowel in the middle, so that the lid doesn't end up in the pizza, which of course is my job and not theirs. instead I cycle up there with the pizza in my hand, that's only after complaining for 5 minutes. In front of a full restaurant and showing tomatoes and cucumbers that were so limp and hot that they fell off each other. Again, it could have been forgiven if he had stood by it and not tried to blame the customer for their bad pizzas. Super shame, because as I said, it was once a good place

09/09/2025: Probably the best ice cream in Aalborg. Generous scoops and a wide range of homemade ice cream sorbets. Great location on the pedestrian street with tables and chairs outside. Open until late in the evening. Perfect for those who want a dessert after a visit to the restaurant.

19/08/2025: A 🍨 🍨 🍦 decent ice cream considering we are not in Italy, do not add the white cream which I mistook for cream because it is terrible, very sweet it seems like candy reduced to cream. To satisfy a craving it is fine and acceptable. The staff is kind and patient.

27/07/2025: Very rude staff , looks like racism to me . I walked into this restaurant to have some coffee , well never knew they had a private event ; I was pushed out of the hotel like a dog ; and that was very rude . What happens to courtesy or just being human and polite in this day and age !!!. The kind of look I got doesn’t represent the people of Aalborg, that has been very friendly. My first trip this side that ended with disrespect. Sometimes allow humanity if respect is not there.

07/09/2025: Picked up 2 cakes for a baby's christening yesterday, Saturday. A cake man with Alfred and Maren on it and a fruit cake filled with delicious berries. They were really good cakes. I've never had a cake man with such a good base. Pure pleasure for children and adults. The fruit cake itself is delicate and beautiful. Thank you for that.
