15/02/2025: Dejlig oplevelse hos Brasseriet i Gilleleje! Vi nød en lækker 5-retters menu, hvor hver ret var smukt præsenteret og lavet med kvalitetsråvarer. Smagene var velafstemte, og man kunne virkelig mærke kærligheden til madlavningen. Betjeningen var imødekommende og opmærksom, hvilket gjorde oplevelsen endnu bedre. Stemningen i restauranten var hyggelig og afslappet – et perfekt sted til en skøn aften. Kan varmt anbefales! Pour nos amis touristes francais qui viennent à Gilleleje: Très belle expérience au restaurant Brasseriet à Gilleleje Nous avons dégusté un délicieux menu en 5 services, où chaque plat était magnifiquement présenté et préparé avec des ingrédients de qualité. Les saveurs étaient parfaitement équilibrées, et on sentait vraiment la passion pour la cuisine. Le service était attentionné et chaleureux, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. L’ambiance du restaurant était conviviale et détendue – l’endroit idéal pour une belle soirée. Je recommande vivement !

16/01/2025: Friendly waiters and nicely cooked seafood. They add 3.5% on non European cards which is a bit odd to me but maybe that’s the norm in Denmark.

11/01/2025: Great service The food was good, but nothing more than that. The main course in particular was a bit strange as the sauce was very strong, like a sauce for roast, so the fish had completely disappeared.

31/10/2024: Yes, there is our popular fish fillet again with fries and a small salad bowl. It's a little more expensive than last year, but still just as tasty. They are two good pieces of fried fish, which sets them apart from other competitors. It is much more fish meat with a crispy breading. The fries are served crispy, with remoulade, and a bowl of carrot sticks, raisins and lemon slices. If the weather is not ideal (on Bornholm?), there is the option to dine in a large room. When the weather is good, there are enough outdoor spaces. The very friendly staff brings the ordered food to the table. There are various parking spaces available, but if there aren't enough, there are more free ones opposite, to the left of the former cannery. Various fresh fish, salads and preparations are offered from the in-house smokehouse. The fish cakes are among my most popular. It's definitely worth a visit!!

22/10/2024: Nice place, expensive but not so good food. Ordered hot smoked salmon with salad & bread. The salmon was a bit dry but good. The salad was brown-edged, the bread sparsely added and the dressing probably from a bottle of Italian dressing from the supermarket poured into a small plastic jar. We felt cheated.

23/03/2025: Very delicious food at a decent price! Although the restaurant seemed full and we came without a reservation on a Saturday evening, the waiter found us a place to sit very quick! Would recommend! 😊

23/03/2025: Very good sushi and on the affordable side! We came in without a reservation and we were seated straight away even if it was pretty busy, on a Saturday night. The macha chai was also very good and had a nice presentation.

21/02/2025: La primera vez que mi marido y yo comimos aquí, aunque debimos haber pasado mil veces. Definitivamente no será la última. Tiene la ubicación más encantadora en un canal en Christianshavn - uno de los distritos más hermosos de Copenhague. Sirven "comida tradicional danesa", pero de muy alta calidad. Ambos tuvimos wienerschnitzel - delicioso. El restaurante principal estaba lleno, así que comimos en el pequeño ferry amarrado fuera - bien climatizado y cómodo. Excelente servicio. Además, estábamos en camino a la ópera, por lo que estaba idealmente situado - a unos 20 minutos a pie del teatro.

21/01/2025: Visitado en invierno con la familia. La comida estaba bien, pero el personal era particularmente desagradable y arruinó la ocasión. Otros visitantes han tenido claramente un buen tiempo y comida aquí, pero en la adhesión que visitamos, no fue una experiencia agradable y por lo tanto incapaz de dar una buena crítica a pesar del gran potencial de la ubicación.

02/03/2025: Great food and atmosphere but you have to pay for water without being told and even ketchup! Turned out quite expensive. Mushy peas are also cold - not sure if this is just a Denmark thing

28/03/2025: Despite being told a few weeks in advance of one of our party's dietary restrictions, no attempt was made to take account of them. Sometimes, that's fair enough, but we should have been made aware of this before we went to the restaurant and we could have made alternative arrangements. Also, what is this natural wine thing?!! The one we had was almost undrinkable..... but apparently our fault for ordering it. Again, fair enough, but maybe they should warn english people of a certain age!

28/03/2025: Fish is really fresh and well-prepared but for this price I would expect more. It is, as the name tells, a bar. Main course is just a fish, no sauce, and side dishes are the same for all portions on the menu.

09/03/2025: Unfortunately, quite overrated fried food and even on the expensive end. Won't be back even though the service was nice but 1500 kr for fried food plus some alcohol for 4 people is quite expensive.

07/03/2025: Restaurant specializing in fish, particularly fish and chips and fish burgers. The setting is quite nice and the food is very good. It was hearty and homemade so I 100% recommend. In terms of prices, they are at the low average level, this is a positive point which deserves to be noted.

Med sin charmerende atmosfære er dette stedet, hvor man virkelig kan slappe af og nyde sin mad, der er både prisvenligt og af høj kvalitet – en sjælden kombination i dagens verden Vi vender altid tilbage til Knud med glæde, for det er ikke bare et måltid; det er en oplevelse, der får os til at føle os hjemme. 18/01/2025: Really delicious food, and something for every taste. If you are just a little hungry, the place is perfect, as they have many delicious small snacks that can be combined according to hunger/need. And no one looks askance at you if you just order two snacks and a draft beer. In general, the staff are really nice, unpretentious and very professional and service minded. It is a pleasure to be received and served at Knuds (and there are many restaurants where this is not a matter of course). Last note: although their wine and beer list is good, don't fool yourself into tasting their homemade sodas. Mom!!

24/01/2025: Suverænt den bedste fish and chips jeg har fået til dato. Paneringen på fisken var som en crispy sky selv om jeg havde overdynget den med citron saft. Og tartar sovsen i en liga for sig. Jeg kommer helt sikkert igen.

18/01/2025: After visiting Kronborg, we decided to head to Helsingør Street Food Market, also known as Værftets Madmarked, for lunch. The market resembles a large food court located inside a spacious warehouse, offering a variety of food vendors to choose from. After exploring the options, we were drawn to The Fish Project, thanks to their enticing sample menu displayed at the counter. We opted for the fish burger, the shrimp box, and, of course, the classic fish and chips. Each dish cost between 125 and 129 DKK. The food was freshly prepared and exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous, delicious, and accompanied by ample fries and sauce. The fish burger, in particular, was one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff, attentive and considerate, mentioned that the sauce might be slightly spicy. However, to our Asian palates, it wasn’t spicy at all—a thoughtful gesture nonetheless. The shrimp box and fish and chips were equally impressive. Served in a paper box lined with newspaper, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the shrimp batter was crispy on the outside while the shrimp inside remained tender and juicy. If you find yourself in Helsingør, this spot is a must-visit for the freshest fish and tastiest chips. While it’s not the cheapest option, it’s worth it for the quality, especially considering that food prices in Copenhagen tend to be on the higher side.
