De bedste restauranter i Sjælland

29/07/2025: After I was in China and Vietnam several years ago. I have been looking for an Asian restaurant here at home, as I love Asian cuisine. With Chengs Køkken I finally have to admit that I have hit the spot! Incredibly delicious and authentic food from an always smiling staff, which from my experience is very typical of Asians, who are often friendly people. The only reason for 3 stars on atmosphere is because it is a Take Away restaurant - which is why the atmosphere is not that great 🙂

24/07/2025: Cozy place and service, first time visiting, good food.

07/12/2025: A bit of a mixed experience. Sat at the round tables just inside the door. Incredibly poorly lit. The light only hit half of the table. The table next to it was almost completely unlit. The cutlery was not properly clean and the nice flag for my daughter's birthday could have used a cloth. We ordered food and drinks, everything was fine. When we received our drinks, we asked for another glass of water. It didn't come. Then we got our food. There were no potatoes for my food. They didn't come until we were almost finished eating. My daughter's warm corn on the cob was so cold that the butter couldn't possibly melt. When we got our food, we asked for another glass of water. It finally came at the same time as the potatoes, when we were almost finished. At no point did anyone come and ask if everything was okay. My daughter's rib-eye tasted so much of coal that it tasted bad. Even though it was nicely tender. All in all, a really bad experience, you could learn a lot from your branch in Roskilde. Truly diametrically opposed.

21/10/2025: They are incredibly slow to refill, we had brunch. They ran out of tea water and I had to ask twice for it.

02/09/2025: Good cafe that unfortunately changes owners like the rest of us change summer tires on our cars. But luckily they don't try to reinvent the wheel... a cafe that works. Also good for kids.

03/01/2026: Mega ridiculous and boring mashed together cold burgers! Disappointed in total garbage and lost my appetite completely after struggling to unpack and a big time smat! Higher standard and cheaper at md. Was even ordered with time.

21/04/2026: They were open during the weekday lunch hour which was appreciated. The staff did their best to translate to English which was very much appreciated. They assisted us with a high chair for our baby, cleaned it and sanitized it for us. The pizzas were big with lots of toppings. The flavours were good, but a bit different than what I’m use to. The crust wasn’t thick, but it held up with the toppings. Staff was always working; cooking, restocking, tending to customers, etc.

14/05/2026: I have to say that this was one of the best receptions and atmospheres I have experienced at a McDonald's (not that I often go to McDonald's, so maybe this is the standard?) Fast service, nice employees and fresh food Thank you for a surprisingly positive experience.

12/04/2026: Cars park in handicapped spaces without handicap parking, as well as family carers, and every time it was young men in expensive cars who were picking up takeaways. No qualms about parking illegally.

09/03/2026: Urgh. Manor steak. Was a sad water-bathed grill bar steak. Almost not fried so more gray and boiled than actually fried. Sorry I didn't discover that you had to choose your own potatoes, because the default was some spice fries that went really badly with a really soggy bearnaise. I'm well aware that I should have left it alone... Now it has been emphasized that it is simply too soggy. The poor young man did what he could and everything he had learned to make the experience good.

17/05/2026: We ordered sushi on Sunday for pick up at 6pm, waited until 6:30pm before we got the food. Unfortunately, all 4 of us got very nauseous and had a stomach ache after eating. The salmon and tuna were very soft, had a strange consistency and the shrimp kind of popped in your mouth and tasted strange. We subsequently wrote an email to Tatami, who unfortunately chose not to answer the email. We also answered their own satisfaction survey, which they also chose not to answer. Bad style not to answer a customer's email when the customer is dissatisfied.

11/12/2025: For the last 7 years, we have been coming regularly. Primarily always ordering the same thing after they got a new chef, the dishes we used to have been changed, but not adjusted in their menu. So you expect to get the usual, but end up with something different and a completely different price than what was on the menu. The last time we were there we found mussel shells in one of the dishes, which ruined our appetite quite a bit. Not just one piece was found but five pieces. Didn't eat any more after that. The owner was contacted, where he said it was incredible that we could find it because they only used canned mussels. Full price was paid and more than what we had expected, based on the prices on the menu. We will take a very long break from here, if we ever return

02/11/2025: It took over an hour to get our food and it was even wrong, when we finally got the correct order the pizza was half raw. Can't recommend this place to anyone. Nothing was in order this evening.

05/09/2025: We just wanted to have a drink. Card payments are not possible (in Denmark???). They were happy to accept euros. The conversion resulted in a much too high amount. After we calculated on our mobile phone that this amount couldn't be right (conversion factor 4 instead of 7.5), they apologised. This leaves a very bad taste in the mouth, considering how many holidaymakers are subjected to this ‘practice’ who may not yet have a feel for the conversion at the beginning of their trip.
