04/03/2026: In connection with my father's funeral, I had to find a place where we could gather afterwards. The choice fell on the orchid. And it was just what we had hoped for. Lovely lunch table and cake afterwards. The surroundings were cozy and there was plenty of space. It was nice but unpretentious and just as it should be. Sanne was super sweet the whole way through. Not least when we had to move the event at short notice (hours before) due to the snowstorm. Really nice with flexibility and friendliness in such a situation. Can only recommend the orchid.

11/11/2025: World class pizza. I'm a meat lover man when it comes to pizza so of course I get one. I also get really good fries. My colleague orders a spicy kebab dish which he was also very happy with. (And gave him a sweat on his forehead)😅 Fantastic service at the table like at a "real" restaurant. Nice smiling guy serves us quickly and there is nothing to complain about here. The food comes piping hot after 10-15 minutes and the price matched all others with similar menus. I called it Varde's best pizza without having tried others. The man replied "That's what people say anyway" with a smile on his face. I will have a hard time choosing other options if I come to those parts again because this was really good. Top marks from here👍👍

21/01/2026: Good grill bar, I got half a grilled chicken with fries, it tasted good and there was plenty, they serve a lot for the money

28/08/2025: The current exhibition was very nice, and the staff very friendly. The café offers delicious cakes and coffee in a French press. Where else can you find that? It's just a shame that the renovation to the exhibition space has left nothing of the old castle recognizable.

10/12/2025: The traktørstedet is beautifully located by Bøgeskov harbor and Stevns Klint, and is an area we will definitely experience this summer. There was polite and quick service, but the buffet did not quite live up to our expectations. Considering it was a Christmas buffet, there was a bit of a Christmas atmosphere. We will come again for a cup of coffee this summer.

07/12/2025: Lovely Christmas buffet, very well prepared, very large and interesting selection, e.g. licorice-grilled salmon. Fresh dishes were constantly being served. Smiling and quick service, a really good experience.

18/02/2026: Good service, clean and tidy premises and toilet. But the Mexican burger was a bit boring with no distinct flavour.

31/01/2026: Very very bad food. We ordered a brunch plate and a pasta with beef. The pasta was tasteless. I had to send the brunch plate back because the bacon was raw, the eggs were oily, the pancake was as dry as a piece of cardboard. I ordered an iced coffee which was hot when I got it. It was a regular coffee with a little milk and two small teaspoons of ice in it. When my brunch plate came back the pancake was completely soft and just felt like a piece of white bread. The bacon was burnt and the eggs were completely greasy.

21/12/2025: 35.00 crowns per person just to enter a Christmas shop was extremely disappointing. Then there were the two depressed reindeer lying in the furthest corner of their hut. A shame, because the website had promised much more.

04/04/2025: Nice little cafe on 2 floors furnished with an upholstered sofa and good old-style chairs with beautiful pictures. Food is different bread and sandwiches. Salads Coffee. Beer and drinks. Cafe is next to Helsekosten. In Nygade. I got coffee and bun with cheese. Entrance from Nygade. There is an outdoor courtyard with sheltered chairs and a balcony on the roof terrace with a beautiful wall
