01/08/2026: 53 minute wait despite being told 25. Pizza not fully baked. Soft and flabby. All the filling slipped off. Ok taste.

07/09/2026: Awesome atmosphere - especially for jazz nights and really good service from the female waiter. Really good wines - and I say that as a non-wine lover. A little wait for food, but it tastes good too. Their kitchen is also small, so you can understand that but compared to their capacity it took too long for my taste.

30/08/2026: A beautiful historic mill, lovingly maintained by a local association. The members are very friendly and informative. There's no entrance fee, but donations are welcome. There's also a blacksmith's shop where you can purchase handcrafted items in exchange for a donation. These aren't your typical tourist trinkets, but truly unique pieces. There's also a small shop selling handcrafted goods and other special items. We didn't try the café. Additionally, there was a photo exhibition featuring historical portraits of people in everyday clothing, without any prior "dressing up" in Sunday best or anything like that. Very authentic and well worth seeing.

31/08/2026: The only downside is that people had to sit and smoke outside where we ate. Luckily only one person did that. Other than that, the food, service, waiting time, prices.... were fantastic. It was really good and perfect for what we needed after a long day. 👍

30/08/2026: It's perfectly fine if you need a quick snack or fries or burgers for the kids. The cappuccino is okay, and dogs are allowed on the terrace.

10/09/2026: Today it is Restaurant Søgaarden in Sunds near Herning that will test their steak sandwich with gravy. We arrived here at 4:57 pm and were immediately shown a table and actually ordered right away since we knew what we wanted. The food was served at our table exactly 5:12 pm and the first impression is that the steak sandwich looks a bit anonymous and lacks any decoration that can visually pull it up (in the advertisements from them it is decorated with fried onions). But the plate is hot and all the food is hot so it was great. The bun is a standard white brioche bun that tastes quite nice. The top bun is spread with quite a bit of mustard and a little ketchup, actually nicely balanced where it just scratches a little. The bottom bun is spread with a little remoulade. Both ketchup, mustard and remoulade do not taste homemade, but as I said, nicely balanced in terms of quantity. We specifically asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare to avoid misunderstandings, and oh my, it is just right, the steak is about 180-200 grams, it is cooked perfectly medium rare, so the meat almost melts in your mouth, it is perfectly seasoned and has a lovely crust, the meat is of really good quality and flavorful. The pickled water lilies (cucumbers) are home-pickled and taste wonderful, they were a little sweet in contrast to other places where they are often sour. The home-pickled beets also tasted great and had a nice bite, and they were cut into fine squares. The only complaint with the pickling was that it was perhaps a bit crazy to only put 3 pickled cucumbers in, give it a little gas. We also find a nice amount of homemade soft onions and they were sweet and tasted of more. 🧅In addition, there were some finely chopped raw onions and some roasted onions. Last but not least, we come to the sauce and let's say it right away, it tasted like birds singing, it had a deep umami flavor and there was plenty of it. The wife thinks it's one of the best sauces for steak sandwiches she's ever had and I'm inclined to agree with her. The waiter came by twice to ask about the food, which is fine, but the garnish, the fried onions, annoyed us a bit and the table next to us also got steak sandwiches and they were nicely garnished. So we politely chose to point this out, to which the answer was oh well, then nothing more happened. Well, we end up with 4 out of 5 stars with a dash, the food is well-made, good ingredients and seasoned. The portion size is appropriate, so it's highly recommended to eat here. Now I've tried approx. 120 steak sandwiches in Denmark right from Capa, to Panorama over Ella and Kohalen and the last thing missing here at Søgaarden is a special bun, a relish or a homemade compote that just makes you say wow. DKK 198.- tjo good ingredients cost and people have to get paid, it must also be said that mayo and a portion of fine fries are included. Thanks for the food, you can easily be familiar with that.

22/08/2026: If you're looking for a quiet campsite, this isn't the place. There are loud parties in the restaurant almost every weekend. It's okay during the week, but on weekends it's really only for partygoers.

06/12/2025: If you only visit one restaurant in Aarhus, let it be Møf! Incredibly delicious food, surprising ingredients and compositions, amazing service, perfect cocktails.

02/11/2025: I have always had a special relationship with Møf, which used to radiate passion and presence. After moving to the new premises, everything is nice and professional, but some of the soul and intimacy have unfortunately been lost. The food is still well-prepared and technically impressive, but the spark is missing a bit. On the other hand, Kristian deserves great praise for his calm and discreet service, which once made the place very special.

17/08/2026: The beer selection is great. The prices are Danish (i.e. 25-30% more expensive than a Budapest pub at least). But it's acceptable if you consider that you're on vacation. Small ruin pub style but cozy :D

12/08/2026: We just stumbled in here as we wandered through the streets of Aarhus. Great staff, good drinks...it has that old world local charm.

17/08/2026: Good pizzas with good ingredients. And they go lightning fast! Went by yesterday, and they seemed to be a bit busy. Ordered two pizzas and a sandwich. And was told 10 minutes, but barely had time to look down at the phone before my food was ready.

17/08/2026: Really good pizzeria with good Italian ingredients and you can taste it in their pizzas.

20/08/2026: Delicious but way too expensive.

18/08/2026: Good selection, everyone was friendly, the fish was delicious, and next door there's ice cream with a view of the harbor.

24/05/2025: We had a cocktail here for 25 people, and the service was top-notch, the view was amazing, and the cocktails 🍸 were very good! Highly recommended for a cocktail bar in Copenhagen! But reservations would probably be a good idea!
