04/08/2026: We went to this small, charming bakery to pick up two Too Good To Go bags. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful saleswoman. We explained our pickup in (broken) Danish, but everything else was perfectly fine in English. When we told her we'd ordered a bag from Too Good To Go on Sunday for Monday, only to later discover they were closed on Mondays, the saleswoman immediately offered to prepare two more bags for us, which we declined. She was incredibly friendly and helpful! The breads, rolls, and pastries we received were delicious, fresh, and varied. The Rumkogler pastries included are still fresh and tasty after almost a week! We highly recommend this bakery.

17/07/2026: The bread was standard. We got butter in our buns that wasn't spread out. The service wasn't very friendly and there wasn't much of a homemade feel to the atmosphere. We're on a long bike ride and needed power for a phone. We weren't allowed to have that.

06/09/2026: Cozy place, okay customer service, but those chairs aren't the most comfortable to sit in. It would have gotten 5 stars otherwise.

08/09/2026: Due to miscommunication with the staff, my boyfriend ended up having an allergic reaction. What was even worse was how indifferent the staff were to the situation. We were left completely on our own in an uncomfortable situation and tried to get back on our feet, while the staff just packed up in silence next to us. Mistakes and miscommunication are what happens in life and can be forgiven, but when you disregard humanity to such an extent, it really becomes an unpleasant experience to come to Bryggens Spisehus.

06/09/2026: Ordered an item based off the description on the card (salted caramel cheesecake brownie). Upon taking a bite I found a nut (which i am allergic to). Originally my partner talked to the cashier and they said it “may contain traces of nuts”. I left the clear slice of walnut on the table while I ran to get my medicine. When I asked for a refund or to switch to something else, the workers were extremely rude. They blamed me for not disclosing my allergy (once again, I didn’t think to because I went off the description of the product in the case) and said I had no options. While I think it is a messed up policy to not allow a change or the item or refund, when frustrated me the most was how cold the workers were. There was not an ounce of empathy as I started to combat my allergic reaction and ask for an alternate solution. No apology, no recommending other options. Just saying “well you should have told us” (though even if I had I would have been told the wrong information). I really hope this space learns to teach their employees some more kindness in future training and to establish better allergy trainings. Until then I recommend avoiding this place

30/06/2026: Unfortunately, I don't think my experience was good. It must be said that I didn't taste their food. But I had ordered food for pickup online which went through. I cycled 15 minutes to the restaurant, to read a sign on the door that said they were closed for the holidays. This information was not provided on either Google, Maps or their website. Should be updated.

28/06/2026: Tasty dishes for adults and children alike. Both non-spicy and very spicy. Big platters mean you won’t be leaving hungry. Overall price to quality ratio is excellent. Warmly recommended.

07/07/2026: Always good service and good bread and interesting cakes. I always buy rye bread there, if I can't make it during opening hours in Bramdrupdam, sometimes there is one lying around so I can buy and pay with MobilePay.

25/08/2026: Really nice shop, lots of really delicious things. You can buy Hopballe chicken and many other butchery products in the shop. They also have a selection of wines, juices, pots, pans, casseroles and much much more. Definitely worth a visit 😊

17/09/2026: A lovely table in a modern yet atmospheric setting. The food is quite traditional (European, but fortunately also a local Danish dish), yet beautifully presented in a modern style. The wine list is wonderful, and the service is friendly and attentive. A small mistake was made by a new staff member, but that was absolutely no problem. Initially, the dishes arrived a bit quickly one after another, but after I indicated that the pace could be slowed down a little, they immediately responded well to that. All in all, one of the few restaurants in Esbjerg where good food and a cozy atmosphere come together. The clientele is a mix of Danish families and corporate guests. Highly recommended.

31/08/2026: Good dining experience in Esbjerg city center. Bistro with classic French dishes. We have been missing good dining experiences in Esbjerg, but Appetiit hit the spot!
